Yay Ellie! So glad to hear that!!

Davina, I agree with Trouble and Ghost, focus on doing what's right for you (I understand it's not so clear cut), you're the one that matters in this. Smile

You're a bad influence Ghost! Just had to buy this! Well, it'd be rude not to with 15% off and free delivery (Thanks!) Grin Lovely dresses there too but I didn't want to be careless with money after spending too much on Amazon this morning.

Lilly's getting on well with the Avent bottles that came with the pump (rather than the specially bought Nuk bottle), doesn't seem to be affecting her breastfeeding at all so I'm keeping that going at night time. Such a relief Smile

aBundanceOfTime · 16/03/2012 16:49

Sorry, x-posted with you Kayzr (typing one handed again). Sorry you're feeling fed up at the mo, I remember it clearly - I really missed wine and paté! Grin My heartburn has stuck around Sad
Not long left now though [unhelpful]

TroubleAndFyfe · 16/03/2012 16:59

Damn it bun, was hoping you'd bought a dress so you could test it out norkage wise for me! Any nursing bra tips btw? I'm tempted by Anita underwired ones as am so sick of no underwire but like all enormous larger sized bras they have a price tag to match! Also not sure what size to buy, will they get bigger, smaller or stay the same? Confused

aBundanceOfTime · 16/03/2012 17:49

Sorry to disappoint! Grin
Ah yes, price tags are always an issue aren't they? Angry I ended up getting a couple of these when I gave up looking! By no means the prettiest but are pretty good in the support department. Not much help I'm afraid, I found it very depressing browsing! I'm going back to underwired too, was also looking at the Anita ones.
I went half a cup size up whilst pregnant, and have stayed the same since, was the same with DS too. But I know some women who have gone up a few sizes so you'll have to play it by ear I think Confused

TroubleAndFyfe · 16/03/2012 22:04

Oh I have one for now, non underwired though. Went up 2 cup sizes and 2 back sizes whilst pg so just trying to figure out what's going to happen before I fork out on underwired nursing bras. Hmm

elliebug · 17/03/2012 17:01

hello,
i have already gone up 3 cup sizes Confused i wasnt small before, now im like a cow :)
anyway, quick summary of my week, one i never want to repeat again!! had clinic appt on tues, feeling crap with headache whicvh i had tried to sleep off but couldnt. bp high in clinic 160/something and bump grown 6cm in 2weeks Shock i was very emotional by this point as i think i knew something wasnt right so burst into tears as soon as the dr asked how i was!!Blush so off to the ward where the monitored my bp and did a ctg, bp slowly came down over 24/48 hours and there was only trace protien in my wee so they were less worried about pre eclampsia, phew, cos of bump growing the sent me for a growth scan, when they came to see me thurs (i had it wed pm) they said it showed reducaed fluid and bad blood flow to baby, under about 4.5 is normal, mine was 17 and if this was the case baby would be here soon, really soon, oh shit, lots more crying and stressing OH rang work to say he wasnt going in etc and we had a mega panic. had a repeat scan about 2 hours later after another ctg which was normal!!! after some investigating it turns out the person who did the scan on wed had got the fluid volume and blood flow measurments the wrong way round Shock which turned a rubbish scan into a good one. phew. headache continued, it was horrific, im sure labour hurts but i was under the impression contractions come and go and you get a baby at the end!! anyway, woke up friday am feeling much much better, just got a normal headache now :) personally i think it was a migrane but as ive never had one before im not sure.
so now i am off work, not sure if im on sick or mat leave! and totally paranoid! im 32 weeks next friday and having looked after 32weekers i will be a lot more relaxed then, they also said baby was chunky which i guess is good if it wants to make an early appearance!! i am also still overly emotional, everytime i think about what happened i cry Blush thanks for all the thoughts ladies Thanks
davina i hope this baby gets a wiggle on, you'll have to plan something super exciting for tomorrow! if not do whatever you feel is right about geting baby out. not really sure i can pfer any advice cos right now i dont care if they drag baby out by the ear as long as ?she is ok!! im sure i'll change my mind in a bit :) off to watch the hot men running around rugby

TroubleAndFyfe · 17/03/2012 18:32

Goodness ellie sounds like an awful week! Sad glad things are looking up now.

ghosteditor · 17/03/2012 18:35

elliebug Confused Shock that must have been awful for you! I hope you're feeling much better now and that baby stays put. A friend of mine had her baby spontaneously at 32 weeks and he's doing absolutely fine now (at 8 weeks adjusted, 16 weeks since he was born). But hope your little one stays put; I can't believe that they made that kind of mistake and no one spotted it!

I had BP readings slightly higher than yours during and after labour and am still on medication now, 8 weeks pp. BP and the medication associated with it can cause crippling headaches (I remember them well from that first week in hospital). I guess they're going to keep a close eye on you now? You might need to be prepared for a hospital stay if your BP stays high as they still worry about pre-eclampsia, as apparently the risk continues after birth and peaks 5 days after. But I guess after this week a hospital stay after a full term baby would seem like a fair price to pay! I really hope things go smoothly for you now Smile.

Hi ladies - still no news so I'm pretty much resigned to having the CS tomorrow Sad Although I may feel differently when I get there. So today will be spent mostly getting as organised as possible, so as to make things as easy as we can for DH. And I need to toddle down to Asda to get a nightie or 3 for hospital. I don't normally do nighties, so have packed pjs so far, but they won't be any good when I have the catheter in. And I don't think the slinky numbers I do have are particularly suitable Grin

DS is off to Gran's this afternoon and may well stay there for as long as I'm in hospital (only 2 days hopefully!) I think my MIL was thinking I was being silly worrying about it, especially as one of my first concerns was that it was a bit soon - by 4 days. Which I get does actually sound completely irrational when you put it like that! I just wanted to make sure that I had as much chance as possible to avoid the CS, because (apart from being a major operation that I'd need to recover from), it puts a lot more pressure on DH. And I think having a newborn and a toddler will be quite enough, without poor DH having to do everything else as well. I know he'll be fine as we've talked about it quite a bit. I do feel a bit guilty though - and very lucky to have him.

On the plus side, we went to M&S yesterday to pick up a nice Sunday lunch for today as a special treat Smile And of course, tomorrow I'll have a baby! Smile

ellie your week sounds horrendous! Sad I'm so glad things are better for you now, and your results got sorted.

Kayzr - hope you're feeling better too Smile

Hope you all have a fabulous Mothers Day Thanks

MammaInTheMaking · 18/03/2012 15:10

Hope things are calmer for you ellie what an awful cockup they did with the scan Angry fingers crossed you nubs stays warm and snugly in there a bit longer Smile

Good luck Davina. At the end of the day you know you'll be seeing little baby tomorrow. Not how you wanted I understand but nevertheless there will be newborn cuddles for you tomorrow.

I've got my 28week app in the morning. Little wiggler is still wiggling like a raver Grin

Kayzr · 18/03/2012 15:29

Davina I hope you go into labour tonight. If not then I hope it all goes well for you tomorrow. This time tomorrow you will hopefully be cuddling your lovely baby.

Mothers day has been quite hectic. I thought last night baby was quiet but as she had been mixing during the day it was ok. By 10 this morning there weren't any movements so I had to go and get monitored. She had moved so all her limbs are more towards my back. Everything is fine she moved back when I was at the hospital so I've been getting kicked again.

Kayzr · 18/03/2012 15:32

Mixing should be moving. Dunno what she could have been mixing in there.

TroubleAndFyfe · 18/03/2012 18:13

Glad everything was okay kayzr!
Happy Mother's Day everyone! Thanks

ghosteditor · 18/03/2012 21:09

Good luck tomorrow Davina and we can't wait to hear the announcement!

babybrain3 · 18/03/2012 21:26

Mixing up a storm kayzr? good luck for tomorrow davina!

Davinaaddict · 18/03/2012 21:32

Thanks everyone. Had to drop DS off today at Gran's which was very emotional Sad Still no joy though so just off to re-pack my bag before the morning.

DH is being brilliant, but feeling a bit of a spare part and doesn't know what he can do to help. TMI Alert - he even offered to 'have a bonk', which is a huge thing as he's massively uncomfortable with the whole sex thing so it's been quite a while! Grin

Will probably post in the morning when I'm freaking out some more. Hope you've all had a lovely mothers day Smile

elliebug · 18/03/2012 22:09

Kayzr glad everything is ok Smile
davina maybe you should take him up on the offerWink my oh is exactly the same! I really hope tomorrow goes smoothly and lovely baby snuggles takes away any stress regarding how baby for there. Will be thinking of you and oh and baby (can't remember what colour baby is and on phone so can't check! Sorry baby)

elliebug · 18/03/2012 23:45

And thanks ghost, I would rather have a few days in hosp than sit at home and worry! which I'm doing anyway in my head I know that 32 weeks is ok but doesn't make it any less scary, think sticky thoughts baby!!

Kayzr · 19/03/2012 07:42

Davina I hope everything goes well today. Will be thinking of you. Smile

TroubleAndFyfe · 19/03/2012 08:35

Good luck davina, hope all goes nice and smoothly for you, try to focus on those magical first cuddles with your gorgeous baby! Can't wait to hear the news! Grin

foolserrand · 19/03/2012 08:40

Thinking of you today Davina. Remember, you don't have to go through with this if you don't want to. Just do whatever feels right for you and baby. Will check in again at lunch to see how you're getting on.Thanks

Hi everyone else!

aBundanceOfTime · 19/03/2012 09:23

Got the poms poms out for you Davina! Good luck today, hope it all goes smoothly whatever your decision Smile

trope · 19/03/2012 10:01

Just coming on quickly to say good luck Davina - I hope it goes smoothly! As others have said, you don't have to go through with the c-section if it doesn't feel right! Fingers crossed your waters break on the way there and you don't have to have the induction or the c-section!! Grin Will be thinking of you today!

Davinaaddict · 19/03/2012 11:55

Hi ladies - thanks so much for all the lovely messages. Thanks The last 2 days I've been such a mess, and there's been a LOT of tears Sad

But the really great news is, NO CS TODAY!!! Yay! GrinGrinGrin Sorry for all the ! but they are warranted today Grin I saw a really fantastic surgeon who talked to me about what I wanted and what the options were etc. The difference being that she clearly listened to me and probably read between the lines as well. She had a completely different view to pretty much every other MW/doctor I've seen so far, so she's not pushing me for an induction either. Her family have always gone overdue, with messy results when trying to induce, which explains her understanding. She told me that she was born at term plus 31 ShockShockShock I'm hoping I don't get quite that far Grin

So she did an internal exam, to see if it was going to be likely I'd go into labour in the next few days (it's not). Next steps are back to see her in her clinic on Friday and I'll get another scan as well, just to make sure everything is ok with baby. Then, in for monitoring on Monday, Wednesday & Friday next week until thing move along. Of course we may end up with a CS at some point anyway, if things don't progress, but hopefully I'll be more prepared by then. And I'll know that I've done everything I can to deliver this baby Smile

I'm so relieved and glad we can just see how it goes. We just need to see whether DH can move his paternity leave (he was supposed to start today of course, so we're hoping that they haven't processed it yet). In the meantime, it's back on the gym ball for me Grin

Hope you are all well!

Ps We don't know the flavour either ellie Smile

TroubleAndFyfe · 19/03/2012 12:35

Yay davina! Grin so happy for you, sounds like a fab consultation! Very sensible too, monitoring is all that is needed at this stage, placentas can last a lot longer than 42 weeks, term plus 31 for example! Shock Grin
