Haha - love my new name fools. Although not sure I look like a David Wink Hope you had fun shopping!

Hi trope Nice to hear from you - sorry to hear about you not being well and fuzzy worries Sad Hope you managed to get the food shopping done - we're doing most of our main shopping online these days, so we only have to pop out for extra milk/bread etc. Supposedly easier & quicker but I'm not quite convinced yet Smile

Back in the office today, yawn, and busy week this week, so will be glad when it's over zzzzz

Davinaaddict · 14/02/2012 21:48

How are you feeling today Kayzr? Better, I hope Smile

Kayzr · 14/02/2012 22:25

Thanks Davina not too bad. My throat hurts like hell. DS2 has been ill. He was sick all over my bed last night. I'm now trying to persuade him to sleep in his bed not mine tonight. Little pain that he is.

babybrain3 · 15/02/2012 09:50

Hope you start to feel better soon kayzr I am managing my nausea just about- the tiredness is a killer though this week as I'm doing long days at work as dc are on half term, so at least I get a couple of days off to recover... Still waiting for my mw appointment to come through... 7 wks today!!! Will get my new veg tomorrow-I've a sneaky suspicion it will be a raspberry though!!

Really good to hear from those who have had their babies already-seems like such a long way away for me... I'm sure it will fly by...

MammaInTheMaking · 15/02/2012 11:25

There's been another BFP in the conception thread! I'm so excited!

I've been busy ordering the last week or so... travel system is ordered, cloth nappies are ordered. Sling is at home. Have been given a Bumbo chair and change mat by my aunt. And my cousin is sending her cot down with my aunt this weekend. Really feeling like we're getting so prepared and I love it! Just need a decent sized chest of drawers and then I think I could tentatively say we're quite ready for this baby. 16 weeks to go....... :o

I giggled at your new name too Davina! Wink

Carlitawantsababy · 15/02/2012 11:31

Aw, your poor DS kayzr! Sad hope you all managed to get some sleep.
God, the tiredness of those early weeks babybrain, I remember walking along the street with my eyes closed 'just to get a little rest'! Grin have not felt it in the third trimester because of working from home then early maternity leave I've been able to sleep late when I need to. The peeing thing however was never bad for me in first trimester but now I'm up at least every 2.5 hours, it's crappy! So you (or any of you) remember what it got to for you in the end? My sister was up every hour to pee but I'm really hoping that was caused by it being twins (please!) Confused

Davinaaddict · 15/02/2012 13:39

Aw poor you and your DS, Kayzr Hope you had a better night last night Sad

Wow 7 weeks already babybrain! It does fly past - I remember the days of having a raspberry size bump. Now I just feel like an elephant! Grin

Hooray for another BFP! Grin You sound so organised Mamma and with 16 weeks to go too! My to do list seems to be getting longer, not shorter and this baby could turn up any time after Friday Shock Grin

Sorry Carlita can't help on the bladder front - I think mine is made of steel Hmm It's one symptom I don't seem to get much, thankfully, but lots of sympathy for you. and I think the piles makes up for it Grin

Well I'm bored today - got SO much work to do and zero motivation Might have to go on the hint for a chocolate fix Grin In other news, I'm still getting the weird bump popping noises though....

Carlitawantsababy · 17/02/2012 08:58

I'm moving today!!! Grin removal men are here and working away already... So excited! Grin

babybrain3 · 17/02/2012 09:49

How exciting carlita good luck! I was exhausted when we moved before Xmas, and that was even before I was pg!! Make sure you get some rest in! Grin

ghosteditor · 17/02/2012 09:58

Hey ladies! My DD's bumgenius nappies arrive today - we've been using disposables up until now but have decided to try out reusables. Wish us luck!

In other news, I'm 4 weeks post natal and went back to hockey training last night Grin was so much fun!

OP posts:
Carlitawantsababy · 17/02/2012 10:59

My goodness ghost! Well done! Hope the nappies work out for you, going great with my sister's twins.
Thanks babybrain! I've been awake since 3am - excited - so will be tired later I'm sure though haven't lifted a finger, took the dog and cat round to my sister's first thing and have been sitting here watching telly! Our flat is packed up and removal men are en route to Hastings already and DH is cleaning the flat before coming to get me and the animals so we'll be heading off very soon! Grin

Kayzr · 17/02/2012 12:17

Carlita I hope it goes well today.

Ghost Wow thats pretty amazing.

I should have been getting married today!! In 45 minutes to be precise. I am actually quite glad we had to postpone it as I still don'y feel right.

Davinaaddict · 17/02/2012 16:43

So glad I haven't killed the thread! I popped in this morning on the way to office & thought I had Blush

Congratulations on the move Carlita - am most impressed at your delegating skills Grin Hope it's all gone smoothly for you.

Good luck ghost (although I'm sure you won't need it) Smile I can't believe you've started hockey already - crazy woman Grin

Sorry you're still not feeling well Kayzr Sad and about the not getting married today, but it sounds like its for the best. Sorry for my rubbish baby brain - did you set a new date or is it temporarily postponed at the moment?

In Davinaland today, I've had sooooo many people tell me how much my bump has dropped Shock I did a double take when I caught a glance in a window today as it really has! And it was so uncomfortable walking back from the office to the train station - I hope baby's not on the way just yet though, as I still haven't even packed my hospital back Shock

Hope everyone has a relaxing weekend planned Smile

babybrain3 · 17/02/2012 17:14

I've been swimming today with dc, was dreading it a bit as I thought I might be completely knackered... But seem to have coped quite well so far. Will probably fall asleep on DP tonight though! Wink we actually went to bed at the same time last night... Not done that in ages!! Grin

Davinaaddict · 18/02/2012 12:13

Well done on the swimming babybrain Smile

So today, baby is as long as a Swiss Chard another veg I have never heard of, clearly uneducated as I am Grin And I'm officially full term! Which is good as I'm turning into even more of a hypochondriac and am labour symptom spotting like you wouldn't believe Grin So yesterday bump had dropped and stayed that way 98% of the day, I was REALLY uncomfortable all evening and woke up with period type pains. Which of course have now gone, thank goodness, seeing as we still haven't got the baby clothes down, washed etc and I still haven't packed my hospital bag Blush But I've bought some makeshift pjs in yoga pants and feeding vests. I'm not a nightie person but all the proper maternity pj's are under the bump which will be no good if I end up having a CS again. Last time I got some great (if a bit expensive) over the bump pjs from Mothercare and they were great, so I'm Angry that they don't do them anymore.

Hope your first night in your new house was fabulous Carlita Grin

babybrain3 · 18/02/2012 18:00

davina if you're full term, surely the baby is as long as.... A baby!!!! Wink

Ooooh, keep us posted on the labour symptoms!!!

ghosteditor · 18/02/2012 19:10

Sounds very promising davina I bet you don't go overdue! Keep us up to date and hope it goes well for you Smile

OP posts:
Carlitawantsababy · 19/02/2012 08:11

Thanks davina! Grin it is going really well, despite its terrible decor the house feels very much like home already! Downstairs is almost unpacked, we've chosen a gorgeous carpet for upstairs and I've stripped the wallpaper from about half the landing (easier for me than unpacking (and more fun Smile!) we'll see how we get on today! We have some quite ambitious plans for the next 5 weeks (before the boy is due!)
Sounds very promising with your baby! I must get my ante natal care sorted on Monday - need a booking in appointment! Hmm

Davinaaddict · 19/02/2012 11:29

Will definitely keep you all posted although I wouldn't hold your breath too much as I'll probably be imagining things Grin I'm going to try to keep busy over the next few weeks and get as much housework done as possible, so I don't have to worry too much during the first couple weeks of baby being here. Plus it will stop me wondering about about every niggle and pain Wink

Sounds like you'll be a busy bee too Carlita Smile Our first house was like that - needed loads doing to modernise it, so we started stripping walls etc, and all the plaster came away Shock Then being poor as we were, it took us about 9 years to finish it as we ended up having to pretty much gut it and rebuild. This time we moved into a house that didn't need anything doing to it and have just been doing bits at a time - much easier than last time for us lazy bumsWink Plus DH HATES DIY (and I do mean to emphasise the word hates there!) so if we do need anything doing, we either have to pay someone to do it, or I have to suffer a stroppy DH for about 4 times the amount of time it would take a non stroppy person to do it! I wouldn't mind, but he's not botched anything up yet Confused

Davinaaddict · 20/02/2012 21:44

Hi ladies - no real update here I'm afraid. More Braxton Hicks & period pains, but that's about it. Hope everything is going well with you all Smile

I actually popped on to ask Carlita (oh wise one of the Rlt knowledge Grin) whether you know if I've got the wrong tablets. I bought a bottle from H&B which are just 1 a day. It says 500mg on the front of the bottle, but reading the small print, it says each tablet contains 3000mg Shock So before I dare take any I thought it worth an ask, in case I end up setting off labour BlushGrin I know, I know I'm probably being silly, but I am a complete wuss Smile

Carlitawantsababy · 20/02/2012 22:27

Grin hi davina, those are the same tablets I have (just checked bottle) and I take 3 of those per day despite them saying one a day. Grin

Davinaaddict · 20/02/2012 22:39

Wow - looks like I'm worrying about nothing then as usual Grin Thank you! How's the new house?Smile

Carlitawantsababy · 21/02/2012 06:46

No worries! The house is great, really going for it with the work and getting things done and booked in...our last place was like yours in that nothing needed to be done so we didn't get round to any of it until it was time to sell lazy DH so I am loving the timescale this time around (though 3-4 more weeks would've helped!) the plasterer is coming on Monday and we'll be able to decorate a week after that then flooring can go down the week after that which would bring me to 39 weeks! Also having a downstairs loo put in in Monday/Tuesday next week, can't wait as I'm currently having to haul my whale-like self go upstairs on my bum every time I need the loo (which is fairly often)! Coming down on my bum is fine, pretty quick and easy!
Been choosing lots of lovely wallpaper and pictures and things which is fun and have more shopping to do today which will be with my mum as DH back to work today (hence me being awake at this hour!)
How is everyone else doing?

Davinaaddict · 21/02/2012 07:27

Sounds very exciting! And great that you're on mat leave as well, so you don't have to balance work and house and baby. Just try not to overdo it Smile

So I braved my first tablet this morning - they smell and taste horrible! I'm sure it will be a big anti climax and I won't notice any difference, but still getting the cramping and baby feels really low down already, which I believe is quite unusual for DC2+ Confused Of course, as I am going into the Manchester office today and tomorrow, maybe it will be sods law that something will actually happen Grin I've packed my notes, just in case Grin

babybrain3 · 21/02/2012 07:51

Oooh sounds promising davina will be keeping a sharp eye on the thread!!!

All good here still 8 weeks tomorrow, not feeling so sick now, but still got all the other symptoms so not worrying too much....

In other news ds has shingles Sad so with me not having had chicken pox he's got to stay away from me-poor ds. I've got to go for a blood test to see if I'm immune or not. I had to tell the doc that I was pg in front of dc do we had to tell them last night. Dd was so excited, I loved her little face when we told her-she says she wants to have the baby sleep in her room in a little cot, bless!!! We have sworn them to secrecy, so the whole world will probably know when I pick dd up tonight! Sigh.....

How's everyone else doing??
