mummylin, hope your sister is OK and we'll all be thinking of her. Us twin mums have to stick together!

That bag's lovely goingmad. I've never really gotten on with nappy bags - I think because we use humongous cloth nappies, none of the interior pockets ever seemed to work/be the right size so I just carried on using my satchel that I had from work! But this bag is very very tempting...very pretty.

Talking of bags - BB3, have you given yours a bit of polish and a rub? I have a leather jacket that I've had since I was a teenager and I've just about managed to keep it going by feeding it with leather cream and massaging it. Wow, that makes me sound like a total nut bar, but hopefully you know what I mean?

Hello everyone else! It's beautifully sunny here, feels like the first time I've had warmth on my face all winter - makes a huge difference to my mood. Am glad I'm having summer babies again...it was so nice when DD was little, sitting out in the garden, me pottering around and her attempting to eat grass. Grin

I've got yet another ultrasound tomorrow so see the position/growth/fluid levels for my little boys. Then I've got a specialist appointment on Friday (that I made myself as my OB wouldn't refer me!!! Hmm) with the breech birth clinic. They're all expert consultants in breech deliveries, so am going to see what they say about it all. I'm totally prepared for them to tell me I have to have a c-section, but I just want to know I've explored all avenues. I'm hoping my OB wont hate me for it though, ahhh, hate how much I fear doctors sometimes.

rednellie · 07/02/2012 21:52

skitoo, I've put my 40 week date. Haven't got any others to offer...Wink

rednellie · 07/02/2012 21:53

Oh and bigboobs, glad the hen do was good - I want to hear all about it please! Need some vicarious naughtiness in my life!

mummylin2495 · 07/02/2012 22:14

they have sent her home until tomorow morning ,been checked out her cervix is completely closed and although she is leaking they said not her waters .so it will be tomorrow after all.

skitoo · 07/02/2012 22:39

Ooh lots of babies tomorrow Grin Grin. DH has just said its a great day to be born, not that he's biased!

Mummylin, wishing your sister all the best.

Rednellie, I've been told that if I make it as far as 30th April, they'll induce me, so at 38 weeks. Good luck with the scan tomorrow, Am v.jealous of your sunshine, it's been horribly grey here all day today and is getting colder again Sad.

claireinmodena · 07/02/2012 22:43

Hi everyone, just a quick check in, I have read all your msgs but brain not functioning properly... Good news about scans and good luck to those having them
Tmrw! Good luck also to thd new mum having teins tomorrow, I will be just one day shy of 38 weeks.

Had some trouble with a very upset dd2 who was very worried about me and the babies. I am absolutely exhausted now so hopefully I should bd abld to sleep. Might be the last opportunity for a while Wink!

Hope to be back with exciting news, keep well!

DreamingOfPeace · 07/02/2012 22:44

Here here for hen do antics, especially as you'll have a clear memory bigboobs!

I've put my 40 week date on the list. Though the old list that starts this thread has a 39 week date when I decided myself I wouldn't go past that Smile. Despite my vastness, I remain convinced I'll get to 38 weeks.

A night in your own bed is far better than in hospital at least mummylin, we'll be thinking of your sister tomorrow too then!

rednellie, got to admire your determination. I hope you find the miracle of someone who'll confidently deliver breech twins but do wonder if two breech means they.could get tangled up together etc? Ha! Why am I even wondering, I have no knowledge!! Happy scan day for tomorrow anyway- are you having them fortnightly?

DreamingOfPeace · 07/02/2012 22:50

skitoo, they said to me initially if i was doing ok they'd let me go to 39 weeks for DCDA... [shock:] I want to stick with NICE and have them at 38. I was too traumatised by my last one to have another induction, hence why I'll book elcs and definitely get there

Poor dd2 Claire, still, she'll be happy once you're all ok after the CS tomorrow, and she meets her new siblings. Well done you for getting to practically 38 weeks after the scare at 27, fabulous work xx

Teds77 · 07/02/2012 23:50

All the most wonderful wishes for new babies tomorrow Claire xxx

rednellie · 08/02/2012 00:35

dream you're not far wrong, apparently with one breech and one cephalic twin they can get their chins caught...I'm pretty sure I know what they're going to say, but I'd like to hear it from the experts mouth.

Hey teds, lurk away and hope you're not feeling too ropey!

DreamingOfPeace · 08/02/2012 07:49

Baby day!! First thing I thought of waking
up. Good luck Claire fill us in when you can Grin

BB3 · 08/02/2012 08:08

Yay baby day - so excited for you Claire and for your sister MummyLin

Dream - I actually find mornings ok - depending on when the girls feed so for example if they feed at 6 and go back to sleep, ds is up about 6.30 so we have time to have a quick snuggle and potter downstairs. I tend to get him downstairs with his breakfast then bring the girls down one by one. Everyone is dressed by 8 and then I shower about 8.30 once my sister is with us before the 9am feed. Although I do try and have a shower before bed so I don't need to worry about it in the morning, although this morning was a bit out of sync as Ayse-Rose fed five times last night and Edie has an upset tummy from the medication so we were all up with clothes changes and screaming babies at 5 and ds woke about 6. The girls and I are dressed, DS is half dressed jumping on the sofa in his pants and t-shirt!

Although this is all very new for us, at the beginning none of us were dressed much before 10 but depending on the kids and I think that is perfectly normal - you will work out what time you need help after a couple of weeks (which is when I am guessing Dh will go back to work and the visitors will die down). You might have really easy babies that sleep well and are quite content in which case it will be more of a cleaner / meal maker that you need whereas if you had two colicky ones then it will be first thing (after long nights) and perhaps mid afternoon you need someone to come and take the kids to give you a break / spend time with dd.

I do find the process times (morning, evening, and meal times) the easiest as you know what you have to do (bath, dry, dress, bed etc) whereas the times in between are slightly harder for me knowing how to split my time and attention.

BB3 · 08/02/2012 08:10

Oh on the bag, the stain isn't to bad, waiting for it all to dry out a bit and see if I have to get the lining taken out to clean the inside. Once I know that I shall be taking it in for a polish and rub and never ever storing my breast milk in it again!!

mummylin2495 · 08/02/2012 08:27

my sister is first on the list and says anytime between now and 9 am. Im feeling very nervous for her.

DreamingOfPeace · 08/02/2012 08:41

Oooh, good luck to your sister mummylin. Not had one but hear planned cs much nicer experience.

DreamingOfPeace · 08/02/2012 08:44

Thanks bb3, dd.was a refluxy colicy baby and its so hard to think about how hard it'll be when we don't have the babies here to know what they'll be like!

mummylin2495 · 08/02/2012 09:01

how long does it take for section ? she is the first ever in our family to have one.If they take her now how long till babies born ? She is going to be awake

BB3 · 08/02/2012 09:29

Mummylin - about an hour, give or take.

CS's in our hospital don't start until 10am so she would be out about 11 then recovery and on to the ward say for 12pm. But if there is an emergency cs thens he will be pushed back.

My emergency CS took about 40 minutes I think.

So exciting - please come on and tell us how she gets on.

Claire - how you feeling? SO exciting!!

mummylin2495 · 08/02/2012 10:09

She thought it was going to be anytime from when she last text me about 8.30 to 9am But i am still waiting nervously here.maybe as you say they also dont start till later. She is in a new nhs hospital where they dont have any wards ,only individual roomsThere is even a costa place there.Come on phone ring !!!

BB3 · 08/02/2012 10:18

Fingers crossed it's all underway and she will have her babies soon!
