claireinmodena · 08/02/2012 16:19

Hello, Emma and Riccardo were born today at 12.40, she was 2.890 and he was 2.310. Emma is currently feeding from my breast, but Riccardo is in the neonatal unit because of his weight. I managed to see him and give him a kiss before he was whisked off. Later on I should be able to get up so hope to go and see him.

Take care everyone!

mummylin2495 · 08/02/2012 16:21

It will be a while before i even get to see them as she is in kent and i am in Dorset.plus my dh going in for op tomorrow and has to have 12 weeks off work. But i may be able to go up there with one of my brothers . I dont drive and dh is not allowed to for 6 weeks .I would love to be there right now.

Oh how lovely, congratulations to Claire and mummylin sister.

Claire, what a shame he's in neonatal unit but hopefully he'll fatten up really quickly, and well done to you, you must be such a proud mummy today :-). Love the names, beautiful choices.

Same to your sister mummylin, she got her girls to good weights, hope you get to visit soon!

rednellie · 08/02/2012 16:39

Claire - CONGRATULATIONS!!! Lovely names and great that Emma's nursing already. Hopefully Ricardo will join you soon - he doesn't sound a bad weight. Thinking of all of you and congrats to your DH and DD's too. You're not allowed to disappear from the thread either - we want to hear all about it (obviously updating us should be your first priority Wink)

mummylin, well done to your sister. I'm glad you've got all the news now and hope you manage to see them soon. xx

YEY for babies!!

skitoo · 08/02/2012 17:53

Claire, huge congrats GrinSmileGrinSmile. Well done on the safe arrival of your little ones and beautiful names. Enjoy your first little snuggles with Emma and hopefully Ricardo will be joining you all real soon xx.

Congrats to Mummylin sister too Smile.

claireinmodena · 08/02/2012 20:15

Hello all,

We are all well, Riccardo was taken ti me earlier and we managed a little feed. He's tiny bless him!

Now they're both in the nursery ad I was stronlgy adviced to keep them in there the first night as I wouldnt have any help Sad. If I want to feed I need to go there but that might be a but if a struggle.., I reluctantly agreed, I believe if we start demand feeding again tmrw it shouldnt affect breastfeeding.

BB3 the op was... Very unpleasant even though the medical team was fantastic, all women, and very lovely, but Its just not my cup of tea. At least its over now!

DH had a loooong cudfle with Emma while I was sorted. He's smitten with both of them and he's been brilliant!

The dds have befn here tonight, dd1 was all over the babies, but dd2 was a bit funny, shd was over tired and maybe a tad jealous, we need to be careful.

Thank you all for thd congratulations, I'm off to my last uninterrupted night of sleep!

goingmadtrying · 08/02/2012 20:24

oh wow sounds like your settling really well, well done Claire :) your nearest to me in terms of family size so im really interested to hear how things go especially bf :)
