Claire weeee baby time! I am so excited, although do you think you will make it tomorrow if you are already 10 minutes apart? It is a shock for DH's. I remember telling DH while he as away I was at the hospital and it looked like it was happening and he said Ok call me in the morning and we can chat then (I said, no it's happening, you need to get here NOW!) and he was like, oh right, oh, ok, bugger! He just walked in to two babies and looked petrified.

Dream can I suggest that you say to DH you will agree to no money and doing it all yourself IF (and only IF), he takes one week off and manages all three children by himself and copes without your support. I am pretty sure you will be paying for as much as you need after that!! Wink it is hard though and I get so cross with DH when I hear 'I've been at work all day!'

Glad DD slept better x

My first day was ok ish - but I hate it really so I am going to look for something new asap. And to top it all off, I spilt my expressed milk all over my new (very, very expensive) leather bag (the one I've been saving up for for months) and am hoping I've managed to get the stain out but I have to wait for the thing to air dry out completely!

claireinmodena · 07/02/2012 15:57

BB3 yes I am! Grin and I still can't believe it!! (have I said this before?? Wink)

The contractions come and go, the're not really regular so I should make ut to tomorrow, but I reckon it would be just a matter of a couple of days otherwise!

Thanks everybody for the good wishes.

goingmadtrying · 07/02/2012 17:57

OMG claire tomorrow is the day Grin I'm so excited for you, and I will keep checking back tomorrow for any news. I wish you all the best and hope things go smoothly.

I went to have my scan today, all is looking ok, she was happy with the growth, they were not measured top to bottom today she measured the head and tummy circumfrance. She would not look whether she could see the sex, although did say that one was laying very lady like and was waving like the queen Hmm I've got to wait 3 weeks this time as she is on holiday however did say if any problems to call in. They are laying next to each other and are currently lying breech which is the first time they have talked about how they are laying. I know this will most likely change each time I go. Have midwife next week, will be nearly 16 weeks when I go do you think she will attempt to listen to HB?? I feel a little more settled now as she has been happy with the growth for the last 3 appointments so feel I can start to enjoy things :)

Have a lovely evening all :)

BB3 · 07/02/2012 18:08

Claire - I'm so excited for you, this time tomorrow you will have your babies!!

Goingmad - do glad scan went well! Xx

rednellie · 07/02/2012 18:59

goingmad, my mw's have always listened to the heart beats, but I know others here haven't had them listened to at all. I think it depends on how they're lying etc. Mine are next to each other so very easy to distinguish from each other. Congratulations that it all went well - it's really happening now!

Go claire go!!! I'm cheering you on from over here. So exciting.

rednellie · 07/02/2012 19:02

And BB3 Sad about your bag. What a bummer. Blooming breast milk, gets everywhere...I've ruined many a lovely dress or top with spilled milk...

Lilyni · 07/02/2012 19:03

Just quickly on my fone ... Claire - all the best for tomorrow - will be thinking about you! Goingmad - so glad everything went well at your scan!

mummylin2495 · 07/02/2012 19:19

Do you mind if i just pop in here .My sister is having twins tomorrow and she is 51 ! all natural as well. She has to have c section as she had bad births with her previous [ now adult ] children. She has done so well and i am very proud of her.We lost our mum in october and i was afraid for her,but she came through it and is fine. She is 38 weeks. We dont know the sexes of them yet, please keep your fingers crossed that everything goes well for her.I cannot relax until i know she and her babies are all ok,there is no reason to think it wont be but i am nervous for her.her husband who has no previous children and is much younger is so excited.

bigboobsatlast · 07/02/2012 19:45

Just a v quick message to say GOOD LUCK to Claire I am so excited for you! I can't wait to hear all the news - it is going to be amazing!
And great news Goingmad on scan - it is such a relief to see everything is ok isn;t it? My midwife always listens to heart beats.

Glad things are beginning to get a little easier Dream - and if your Dad has been kind enough to offer to help out financially then why not? If it means you will be able to relax a little more and enjoy your children then go for it.

Thinking of you back at work BB3, its so hard isn't it when you first go back? And the bag - just to put the icing on the cake! I hope it is looking like new again.

Just watched your dancing Rednellie - amazing!!

Hi Lilyni!

Hen do was great and batteries recharged - but even more tired than usual! Will post a better post soon. All ok here.

goingmadtrying · 07/02/2012 20:00

DreamingOfPeace · 07/02/2012 20:22

goingmad, fantastic news on the good scan! how silly- laying in a lady-like way and waving like the queen indeed Smile. My mw refused to listen for HB at 16 weeks- I went to see one with really strong braxton-hicks and spotting, and she said if she couldn't find 2 it'd only planic me therefore she wasn't even going to try, and she just sent me in for a scan. Maybe that was partly as I was worried anyway though? I've looked at those bags too, lovely!- I can't decide what to get... that or go for boring, get dh to lug etc skip-hop duo deluxe (quite plain colours) or the babymel x2 like bb3...

bb3, I'd have been so cross if it was me with the bag incident, and being fairly hopeless, not had the faintest clue how to get breast milk out of a good leather bag... Will cross my fingers it comes out with no marks left. Are the girls any better yet? I love the 'I'll ring you in the morning' - errrr, we'll have two more children by then dear!!!!! Magic. My dh would do exactly the same Grin

I'll be thinking of you too claire, hope it goes really well tomorrow and you don't go into full blown labour overnight. Babies arriving!!!!!!!!! It is so exciting

Hi lilyni, hope those boys of yours are giving you some rest Hmm and you're blooming nicely.

glad hen do was good bigboobs

DreamingOfPeace · 07/02/2012 20:26

that is a lovely bag goingmad , oooh, what to do!!!!!

BB3 · 07/02/2012 20:38

Good luck to your sister mummylin, wow four babies coming tomorrow, their like buses I tell you.

Dream I haven't had the guts to go and assess the bag damage yet, might tip mr over the edge.

BB3 · 07/02/2012 20:40

They're not their!

goingmadtrying · 07/02/2012 20:46

They are gorgeous and the new colours are lush, im loving the purple yummy mummy one but I think it would only really be ok for girls Hmm

This one : www.pinklining.co.uk/shop/changing-bags/yummy-mummy/yummy-mummy-thistle-and-dragonfly

goingmadtrying · 07/02/2012 21:01

oooh just realised the new range is out 27/02/12 not april woohoo!!!!!Grin

DreamingOfPeace · 07/02/2012 21:01

I don't know, it's your bag really, not theirs- when are they going to sort it out/lug it round?! ANd I know lots of little boys who just love pink!!! Will you find out as soon as you can then what you're having?

true bb3, maybe leave checking for as long as possible...

and yes, 4 babies arriving tomorrow, how lovely god I'm impatient to meet mine, can we not fast forward 8 and a bit weeks?!

goingmadtrying · 07/02/2012 21:08

I know that's why its difficult to decide???? Yes im getting a little desperate to find out and my consultant isn't that obliging!! My mum came with me today and knows hoe impatient I am, so offered to pay for gender scan if I couldn't wait for 3 weeks, decisions decisions......

I can't believe your babies will be here in just over 8 weeks time :)

skitoo · 07/02/2012 21:11

Claire wishing you all the best for tomorrow, so exciting, can't wait to hear your news. Will be thinking of you.

BB3, sorry return to work hasn't been good and you're now on the job hunt Sad. And what a nightmare about the bag. Hopefully it'll dry out ok. I had one of those accidents a couple of years ago (not breast milk but alcohol), it didn't come out but I did claim for it on the house insurance.

Great news on the scan Goingmad, it's always nice and reassuring to see them. My midwife listened to the heartbeats at my 16 week appointment but did make it very clear beforehand that's it's not always possible to get both heartbeats with twins, she managed it though and so did GP last week.

Dream, so pleased you've had a couple of good nights with DD, hope you're feeling a bit better Smile. If your dad has been so kind to offer you some money for a bit of help I'd go for it. Some help in any way, cleaning, child care will just make it a bit easier for you and will allow you to spend some more quality time with your little ones.

A quick hello to everyone else, Rednellie, Bigboobs, Lilyni, got to dash as DH has just called to say he's on his way home and I haven't sorted his stuff for his birthday tomorrow yet.

A big hello to Teds as well, in case you're lurking Smile.

Good luck to Claire again xx

skitoo · 07/02/2012 21:15

Dream, Just over 8 weeks, wow!!!! That makes me feel like mine are getting close too, I'm not that far behind you am I?

Shall we do an updated list to remind us all where we are?

mummylin2495 · 07/02/2012 21:19

May not be tomorrow ,she phoned at 8 to say waters had gone , she had to go straight in as they said if anything happened she had to go to hospital within an hour.I wish i could be with her but we live about 2 and a half hours away. Now all i can do is sit and wait for my brother inlaw to phone. I cant imagine they will send her home as she was going in at 7am anyway. But she did have a false alarm a couple of weeks ago.good luck to the other mum who will be having her twin babies tomorrow. This is nerve wracking and exciting too.My job is to phone the rest of the family down here.I cant go up there as my own dh going into hosp on thurs morn. Why does everything happen at the same time !

DreamingOfPeace · 07/02/2012 21:26

Hi skitoo lovely to see you! Yes, I feel miles better- though i'm finding I'm awake a lot at night, worrying about things it's not worth worrying about, and certainly not at 3am, or hunting down more Gaviscon in the dark!! But it is so, so much more restful and comfortable than being up with DD or hanging out in her room trying to escape back to bed!

I have already started with a cleaner this week- magic! Means I can have a rest in DDs nap rather than continue racing around doing the cleaning. or certainly there's not so much to do. I almost feel like it's wimping out to have paid help (as I do about ELCS) so therefore I'm hoping part of the problem is in my head too!

And yes, sorry for not giving you a wave if you're lurking anywhere teds

Good luck with the job hunting bb3, you sound more capable than most so I hope you find something suitable ASAP! And can I ask you- how do you find getting all 3 children up and ready in the morning? If I do get some help, I'm wondering if this is something I'd be really grateful for with 3 all needing to be got out of cots, 3 nappies changed, boob or bottled for babies, dressed for all 3, breakfast for DD and I....?! Especially as now me and DD are waking up together, I get her out of her cot, we snuggle up in my bed and read a few books, pootle round pulling curtains and checking out of all windows for passing birds, or even better, cats- it's all very centred round her and is a lovely time which I'm reluctant to stop prematurely but clearly will change big time when the boys arrive. Do you manage all 3 by yourself? Maybe it won't all be at the same times anyway...

Think I'll get a date for ELCS at 38 weeks on Thursday after my 30 week growth scan, very exciting and nerve-wracking at the same time. And oh my, will I be please to be into weeks beginning with a '3' Grin
