Hello, my name is Becky and I have just got my BFP after TTC for 5 months with 1 MMC a month ago.

I noticed that no-one had started a August 2012 antenatal club so thought I might start one here. Welcome to all!

Here are my stats;

Harmonyb23 (23) Due date 19/08/12 DC#3

Please let me know if I am doing anything wrong, I've never started a thread before!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Hi,

Can I join? I am pregnant with DC3, I think I am due around August 27th, but haven't had any midwife appts come through yet so not sure.

My stats are:
Vanimal (37) Due date 27/08/12 DC#3

Am very sick with morning sickness, and permanantly tired, having 2 DDs and working full time from home don't really help either. But it will end. I am counting down the days to the magical 12 weeks, and hoping the sickness will ease by then.

PictureThis · 20/01/2012 21:37

Had another sneaky scan today, 8+1 and all is well. I'm so relieved and it was utterly wonderful to see. So I now have a picture of a tadpole to add to my picture of a white blob Grin.
I've been looking at the bellybands and think I may invest in one (or two). My maternity jeans keep falling down and irritate me beyond belief so I'm still in my normal ones but using a hair bobble to fasten the button! Roll on when this inbetween stage passes. Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

missduff · 22/01/2012 16:25

Fallen off this thread so just jumping back on.

I think I have an Australian baby! It doesn't seem to know what time it is, keeping being sick in the afternoon/evening and ok in the morning apart from when I have to get up too early.

Just realised its not all that long until we'll start feeling movements, I'm now 9&1/2 weeks and started feeling tickles with DS at about 13-14 weeks. Eeek exciting!

I've just convinced DP that we should move before we have baby so I'm excited about that, I think we'd be fine in this house during the week but at weekends when his 2 kids come and stay we're just gonna be really squashed. Plus this house is my house so if we move it'll be our house which will also be better for the kids Grin

PickleSarnie · 22/01/2012 17:03

Hi vanimal . Huge congrats. Although huge commiseration on the morning sickness. I'm feeling your pain. Feel so lazy but have literally cooked one meal in 7 weeks. V glad I have a DH that's a good cook! Have been much better with eating this time. Last time I was lodging in London Monday to Friday in a room above the people belows kitchen which stunk. I could never bring myself to eat anything which I think makes it worse. This time DH has been putting food in front of me and I can force myself to eat it which seems to be making the sickness a bit better.

deafworm that would be quite nice if I got an extra scan out if it! Am v nervous about it though. Will be glad when its over.

Fab news your scan went well picturethis

We moved house when pregnant with DS1 missduff. So glad we did. Was stressful finding somewhere in time but feels so much better living somewhere that's "ours" as opposed to his. Have you started poring through rightmove yet? I love that site . Still like to go on and find houses to buy with my imaginary lottery win.sigh

Babybean1 · 22/01/2012 17:50

Hi everyone :)

Hope everyone is well and those with sickness aren't struggling too bad.

Have my scan tomorrow! Eek! Am nervous and excited at the same time and will be pleased when 3.45pm is here and we hopefully get to see the bean :) Am 12+3 today so hopefully (if all is well) we will get a good look at baby. Been feeling loads different to the pregnancy with DD & been looking a bit more human the last couple weeks, so hopefully tomorrow will make it feel a bit more real and I can start to enjoy the supposed "honeymoon" period :)

Westcountrywife · 22/01/2012 19:23

Babybean, mines tomorrow at 16.30 and I'm 12+2 today. Eek. Good luck!

missduff · 22/01/2012 19:50

Very jealous of these scans Envy I've got my scan date though for 10th feb, will be about 12+1 I think.

picklesarnie yes I always trawl through rightmove anyway, got the app on my phone. Seriously I think I'm obsessed, I just love looking at houses, houses to rent, houses to buy, dream houses. I own my own house but due to the marker we'll have to rent mine out and rent a bigger place, not too much of a big deal since I was renting my house out for a year and only been back in it 4 months so half my house is still in my mum's loft.
We've got an idea of what we want and where and we like similar houses so shouldn't be too hard to find somewhere. Sooooo excited! Grin

Babybean1 · 22/01/2012 20:22

Good luck westcountrywife, hopefully lots of positive posts tomorrow eve :)

missduff mine felt like a life time away whe. It initially came through, but luckily it's flown by - hope it does for you too!

Had a dream last night it showed we were having triplets....hope it was only just a dream!!

LIG1979 · 23/01/2012 18:47

Evening all,

Babybean and westcountrywife - hope your 12 week scans went well today.

Missduff - I also love looking at properties - we currently own a property and rent where we live. I like the freedom of being able to live where we want but I don't like the fact that someone is living in our flat. Started looking at moving in prep for the baby but since our place is fine at the moment - I really know we should look at saving our pennies.

Thanks for all your advice on clothing - I am now a proud owner of some belly bands. However, my tummy does seem a little less protuding now and I can still get into my normal clothes so praying I can hold off for another week and my 12 week scan.

I am now 11 weeks and feeling so much better than I did. Trying to not panic and just enjoy feeling better although I don't feel great today after doing too much at the weekend.hope everyone else is doing well.

Babybean1 · 23/01/2012 19:41

Thanks Lig

All went well :) yippee! Dated me at 13+1 tho and now due 29/7, so technically shouldn't be on the Aug thread anymore. Sooo relieved all was well and loved seeing our active baby waving about on the screen!

Hope yours went well westcountry

ruskiewicz · 23/01/2012 20:05

Nice to hear everyone's getting their 12 week scans... good luck! Am only 9+3 yet but booking in appt is tomorrow.
Had evil bout of food poisoning on Weds eve, only just feeling better now. The nurse happened to phone and she said the baby should be fine - just not to get too dehydrated.
Have also been haunting Rightmove etc. Moved to Cheshire into DP's house but the area is so soulless - business parks and massive housing estates. We're planning on moving back 'home' to the Pennines - would love to get back there (friends, family, hills) so we're in the process of updating the house to sell.
Anyone else getting indigestion/heartburn? Never been much of a burper but bloody hell! Gave in and bought some Gaviscon today, will be cracking it open soon Blush

Westcountrywife · 23/01/2012 20:11

Hey Babybean, glad to hear all went well. All went really well for us too, saw little bean jumping around. My dates have go e the other way but only by four days, so we are now officially 11+6 and due in the 7th August!

No moving for us, but we have a new boiler being installed, new door being ordered and new kitchen coming next!

LIG1979 · 23/01/2012 20:16

Good news on the scans!!

PickleSarnie · 23/01/2012 20:53

Huge congrats on the scans!

ruskie, I have had constant heartburn since the start. It's hideous. Been swinging vile gaviscon from the bottle and actually had a couple of zantac just to try and get some relief. I don't remember getting it until the last few weeks last time.

missduff · 23/01/2012 21:03

ruskie yes I've been getting indigestion for weeks now, it's more reflux indigestion tho so get it when i'm lying down in bed. I can't stand Gaviscon on the rare occasion that I have taken it I've then been sick or it's just repeated on me so I tend to just look at the bottle and end up having Fruity Rennies instead. MUCH nicer, altho not really that affective.
Can you still get Gaviscon on prescription? I know my doctor's has got a list of things they no longer give on prescription, not sure if Gaviscon is on the list or not?

PickleSarnie · 23/01/2012 21:34

I got a generic version of gaviscon on prescription once missduff. He prescribed it really begrudgingly though and wouldn't put it on repeat. There was a sort of inferred believe that I should be paying for it myself. At least that's what it felt like. I got ranitidine ( what's in zantac) prescribed in the last few weeks. That was lovely!

Stinkyminkymoo · 24/01/2012 10:34

Can anyone help me with my dates? I'm do confused! My MW said I was 10+2 on the 11/01 which makes me 12+ 1 today. I have had my scan date for the 7th feb at which point I'll be 14 weeks and I'm worried this will be too late. (my last period was 5/11/11 but I have no idea if I'm 21 or 28 day cycle).

Annoyingly this is really stressing me out Sad any help? Pleeeease!

ruskiewicz · 24/01/2012 13:54

missduff/picklesarnie - bottled out (excuse the pun) of the Gaviscon. Will keep for emergencies only. Am such a wimp when it comes to nasty tasting medicines.
It cost £3 or so, not sure what you can and can't get on prescription.
They had tablets too but I assumed they wouldn't be as good as they were cheaper.
Fruity Rennies sound like a better idea, will try them. Thanks Smile

Babybean1 · 24/01/2012 17:43

Hi stinky I'm not an expert obviously but going by your last period I would say your 11+3 and due 11 Aug. Would then make you 13+3 at your scan which although seems late, they dated me at 13+1 at mine so not far off?

Hope that helps a little and you get some more definite answer at the scan. You could always try ringing and explain you think the scan is quite late going by your MW's dates to see if they have a cancellation and can bring it forward?

I was given bottles of gaviscon on repeat prescription with DD (14 months old) so hoping they still give it this time round too!

Stinkyminkymoo · 24/01/2012 21:31

Thanks Babybean, that's ok then, I just cannot get my head around working the blinking dates! That's fine, thank you! Grin

missduff · 24/01/2012 23:14

Omg I'm so mad at DP!!
Our scan is on 10th feb at 9am, I knew DP was off work that date as he's going to Blackpool watching the darts with the lads. It's an annual tradition they have. I thought he was going to the darts on the afternoon of the 10th so thought it was fine, it actually turns out that he's going on the Thursday and has got Friday off to recover, meaning that he'a going to be as pissed as a fart at the scan!
He isn't a massive drinker and doesn't go out with the guys often at all but this darts night is the one big night he has out a year, and my god they put back some beer!
I've told him its darts or the scan which he reckons is totally unreasonable but I don't want my scan to be ruined cos he's in a state.
The simple answer would be to move the date but I don't see why I should have to wait longer to see my baby cos he'a choosing to get pissed!
I'm so upset about it Sad

PickleSarnie · 26/01/2012 13:11

Had scan today! All went well but, as I expected, bit too early to do the NT scan so they've booked me in for two weeks time. V relieved there was only the one in there!

Hope everyone is well x

missduff · 26/01/2012 16:00

That's great news pickle, always a relief to find out there's just the one in there too! And yay you get another scan Grin

LIG1979 · 26/01/2012 16:08

Good news Pickle - incidentally I have really got into pickle sandwiches since pg.

Am I the only person that wasn't relieved that there weren't twins? I sort of wanted to find 2 little blobs there and was a little disapointed. I know there are more risks and it is harder work but I want 2 kids and think may as well get it done in one go!!

PickleSarnie · 26/01/2012 16:43

Haha, can you tell that my username came from last time I was pregnant!

I wouldn't have been quite so terrified about twins if it was the first time round but this time round I'd have twins and a 2 year old. AAAaaaargh. And potentially a TRIPLE buggy. Double aaaaaaarrrgh.
