Hi, I am five and and half weeks pregnant with baby number two. However I had MC last July at six weeks so very nervous as well as excited. I am due a six week scan on Friday to check if all is well so far. Because of this we haven't told anyone except my parents which is really hard as last time we told all the family but it was a strain listening to their attempts at sympathy when it when wrong. So here I am to announce to anyone that cares to listen that after six months I am pregnant again!! Yeah.

Mabel yes im abiove average!! Im sooo happy

benjaminsmum · 13/01/2006 16:41

Welcome and congrats to all new comers - homemama, normsnockers, snowmanqeliz and trinket! Congrats on the blood results Julez.

As for symptoms I have spent the last two days peeing every thirty seconds, feeling quite sick, although yet to be sick, extremelly tired and have painful boobs. Oh the joys of pregnacy! And I am being serious I wouldn't have it any other way - the more symptoms the better!

I am now six weeks and five days. a whole week further than I got last time so I am beginning to relax a bit.

Mabel - total sympathy on the MIL front. We haven't even told mine and I am already anticipating the reaction, she already invites herself to stay to see ds not her own ds just mine! I couldn't bear it if she stayed when new baby arrived.

Thats great benjaminsmum, just try and relax as much as you can

Has anyone been feeling faint?

Its really starting to get me down, but I suppose theres nothing I can do about it

mabel1973 · 13/01/2006 19:44

think I had my first wave of nausea tonight - on the way to Tesco (although I guess it could've been the thought of going to Tesco on a friday night)
It felt like sea sickness...last time I remember gagging every morning when I woke up, but this was different.
Got myself some ginger and lemon tea anyway (for all the good it'll do!)

calvemjoe · 13/01/2006 20:48

Congrats to all the new BFP's -Trinket, I found out on New Years Eve too.
I have been feeling soooo sick for about a week now, it was really getting me down but then I had some spotting yesterday so i'm clinging to every symptom at the mo in a hope that it means everything is ok. I've got a scan on tues to checkout my beanie and at the mo I just keep on hoping I feel sick!

jaamy · 13/01/2006 23:51

Just wanted to say congratulations to you all and HOW EXCITING!.. I'm a Sept 05 mum and found out I was pregnant about this time last year. Don't know where the time has gone. Hope all goes ok for you all.x

Thanks benjaminsmum

kreamkrackers · 14/01/2006 14:00

hi edd is 25th sept, although another website told me it was 24th and another 15th! but if it's 9 months + 7 days then it's 25th. i'm so tired already and have massive headaches. i also feel really faint and sickly although i've not actually been sick. i never touched paracetamol through pregnancy with dd so i'm trying to do the same this time. oh and i never had morning sickness with that pregnancy or with my miscarriage pregnancy but i have a feeling things are going to be different this time.

compo · 14/01/2006 19:06

Congratulations kreamkrackers!!! I still don't have any symptoms. I didn't at this stage with ds though so I'm not too worried (yet!). Can I ask some boring food questions?!! Do you know if eating ready made pasta with ricotta in it is okay? And pasta sauce made with mascarpone? I'm trying to be healthy but just had a Chinese takeaway - whoops!! I haven't had anything to drink since I found out but had loads over Xmas so hope that won't have affected anything!! Anyone else missing the odd glass of vino?!!

homemama · 14/01/2006 19:30

Congratulations to Trinket and Kreamcrackers!

Benjaminsmum, I think you do start to relax a bit after you get past the date of your m/c. I've had an early m/c before and I know I'm waiting for that date to pass.

Compo, I think ricotta and mascarpone are ok in pg. I though it was just unpastuerised soft cheese like brie. Though perhaps I'm wrong. I hope not as I has pasta with chicken and ricotta for lunch today. Yummy! I'm trying to make the most of it before the dreaded HG comes upon me. Judging by my last pg, I've got about 10days of eating left!

Julez, glad you got such high results!

compo · 14/01/2006 19:56

thanks Homemama - I found this link which might be useful to other people like me not sure what they can/can't eat!!

sabrinaandjayden · 14/01/2006 22:40

hello everyone, i have 1 year after the baby is born. my bobbs hurt so much and my son alway seems to bump into them, trying to remember if he did this before. does anyone out there have other childern that seem to know that a baby is comming even though you havent told them. my son keeps saying i going to buy this or that for my baby sister/ bro, and when i press his where this baby is comming from he says "im not telling you". lol

sabrinaandjayden · 14/01/2006 22:44

hello compo, used the link thanks. gosh, theres a lot of things i cant eat.

mabel1973 · 15/01/2006 14:24

hello

just catching up ...congratulations to everyone else who's joined the thread!
Is anyone else having trouble sleeping - my mind is racing when I go to bed!
compo you can eat ricotta and marscapone in sauces / pasta etc as the cooking would kill any bateria (as long as it's piping hot)
It is fresh soft chilled cheeses which are not allowed because of the risk if listeria. hth!

Woodelf · 15/01/2006 18:15

Hi,

Have just found I am pg as I did the test this morning. I've been pg before but never got past the early weeks, this is attempt number 4 so am v nervous about how to handle it. Was on the Oct 05 thread early last year and found the support v helpful. I'll be going to my GP asap and demanding early scans which they can do easily so I can relax. Strangely I had a long delayed appointment to see a specialist in unexplained mcs on 30/1 - still going along of course!

TopBanana · 15/01/2006 18:26

Hi Woodelf, Congratulations

Hope everything goes ok for you

compo · 16/01/2006 08:39

congratulations WoodElf. Fingers crossed for you and all of us to reach that magic 12 week scan!! Hope the GP is good to you xxx
