Hi, I am five and and half weeks pregnant with baby number two. However I had MC last July at six weeks so very nervous as well as excited. I am due a six week scan on Friday to check if all is well so far. Because of this we haven't told anyone except my parents which is really hard as last time we told all the family but it was a strain listening to their attempts at sympathy when it when wrong. So here I am to announce to anyone that cares to listen that after six months I am pregnant again!! Yeah.

Hi trace2, sorry you've not been to hot recently, hope everything works out ok. know how you feel though, I was gutted when I thought I was menopausal. Still think I might be, just got really lucky on the conception front. Fingers crossed for you, I'll keep lurking to see how you're doing.

kreamkrackers · 03/02/2006 17:54

the mw phoned me today and because of me having a scan on the 13th when i was due to see her she's now brought it forward to monday 6th. i'm so excited but nervous at the same time. i keep thinking about what it'll be like when i become a mum of two, i think dd will be made up to have a brother or a sister. it'll be lovely to have two, i'm not sure if we'll have any more after that as dd has a lot of health problems and i think it'd be best to just have two that are close in age.

Feeling a bit better today - not been sick yet today!! Got my midwife appointment for Wednesday and she is doing a home visit - yippee!!

compo · 04/02/2006 18:40

oops, spoke too soon - just threw up my roast dinner!!

katiejane68 · 04/02/2006 22:34

Hey ladies, sorry I've not been around for a while - still off sick with viral thing whatever that is. However DS been sick all week. On Thursday they thought it was chickenpox, so decided to take some blood from me to check whether I've got it. Tonight at out of hours Docs they think it might be slapped cheek or german measles, so you guessed it more bloods from me to see whether I've got either. I don't 'do' blood tests that well either so that was fun.

HellKat · 05/02/2006 07:51

Morning all.
Compo- Awww hun. Poor you. What a waste of a good roast eh?
Katie- Sounds like you've been through it too. There's so many things going around atm.

Hope everyone has a better day today. x

benjaminsmum · 05/02/2006 14:32

Hi,
Mabel - no they didn't have any pods in and nor does anyone else apparently. Hopefully going to Babyshow in March so hoping they have them there to see.

Still no date for booking in with midwife but I do have scan date but only because the ultrasound man booked it at my last scan.

Being and feeling sick now more than I have ben so far which on one handis annoying but on the other at least the baby is still there.

Morning all

I haveb't been on for a couple of days as I have spent the little time I have spare sleeping. Is anybody else suffering from quite bad tiredness?

Got my booking in appointment with midwife sorted, 10th march, I'll 12 weeks, might have to contact surgery to see if it can be brought forward so I can have a scan at the right time.
Sickness is still quite bad at times.

Wow micku5 thats fab that your further on than you thought

norms and homemama how are you both? I really do feel for you with the hg.

Katie I hope your DS is well soon

Hellkat has the bleeding eased?

Hope everybody else is well

Normknockers - I really feel for you. I am being sick about twice a day but no where near as bad as you. It's awful that your midwive team aren't fast tracking you through booking appointments etc knowing your history. It's so irritaing isn't it when people assume that we don't know what we're talking about even though it's happening to us. I hate it when the receptionist of gp surgeries ask what you want an appointment for - I'm sure it breaches confidentiality. Thinking of you xxx

compo · 06/02/2006 12:08

P.S. I wouldn't worry about the McDonald's either - a lot of it isn't that bad - the bread with the burger is probably really settling for you right now. I keep reading how I'm meant to be eating 2 portions of oily fish a week but the thought of fish at the moment is turning my stomach!!

homemama · 06/02/2006 13:42

Hi everyone. This is the first time I've felt well enough to post in a few days. I'm 7+5 and I seem to be reaching the sickness peak. I'm still able to eat (which I wasn't last time) but very little stays down. On the plus side, I've lost half a stone!
Norms, I know what you mean about the burgers. Last week I made DH go out and get me kentucky fried chicken and I wanted chips smothered in salt.
Sorry to hear some of you are still bleeding. Hope that ceases soon.
Puppy, with both my pregnancies, the tiredness seemed to be excessive around 5wks then it gave way to the sickness! I have a friend who had it until about 16wks and she was so bad she just use to fall asleep at her desk! Hope it eases soon.
Hope you all get your booking in appointments soon.

Hiya all.
Had my booking appt this afternoon. Bless her, she came to our house instead of me having to go out to the surgery which was handy because I've got that cold that's doing the rounds (luckily not as badly as ds1 had it). I'm having shared care with the mw & obsterician (because of recurrent mc and a premmie birth). It's great as this consultant is the same one that will be doing my endo surgery after babba's born.
Puppy- Yes the tiredness has hit lol. I'm constantly shattered. The bleeding is the lightest it's been so far (the last week atleast). I've only had very light spotting the last 3 days so maybe this is the tail end. Here's hoping.
Norms- You poor thing. I really hope the sickness eases soon.
Hope everyone else is well. xxxxxxxxxx

Morning all.
Norms- You've got it just as bad with sickness as I have bleeding Lol what a right pair!. I'm trying to persuade dp that this will be our last. I honestly don't think my body (or mind) could cope with another pg.
I really hope it eases off for you, must be horrendous! I've always considered myself so, so very fortunate never to get sickness. I just get crappy bleeding and cramps .
Incidently started up this morning again but not too worried. We'll see what the next scan on Friday says.
How is everyone? Hope no one's got this horrid, nasty virus (I have but not feeling too rough, just shaky and hot). xxxxxxxxxxx

mabel1973 · 07/02/2006 09:47

Hi everyone!

I have my 1st scan this afternoon! V. excited. We are taking DS with us although I know he won't really know what's going on. I keep thinking what if they scan me and there's nothing there and it's all been a figment of my imagination and that I'm getting fat through eating so many crumpets and teacakes .... (I did have this fear last time I remember).
Puppy I am also extremely tired, although DS is teething with his molars and we are having some really bad night with him.
Norms - I really feel for you, you are really suffering, I hope it eases off soon. I count my blessing that I haven't suffered too much this time round.
Anyway will post later and let you all know how the scan goes!

Well I was being sick twice a day last week but wasn't sick yesterday and have just managed to eat bologniase today so I'm taking that to be a good sign!! I've got my booking in appointment tomorrow and then hopefully the scan should be the last week of February. Counting down the days really as don't feel confident until I've had it!

homemama · 07/02/2006 13:25

Was very sick about 10mins ago so using this window of opportunity to post.
Good luck with the scan, Mabel. Let us know how it goes.
I've started craving those cadbury milk drinks. Last time, dairy made me worse but they seem to be helping slightly (I'm having about 6 a day!)

Norms, you amaze me that you manage to drag yourself into work. How do you do it? I am sometimes literally having to crawl to the kitchen or downstairs loo. DH again had to carry me to the loo in the middle of the night on Fri night as I could barely move. Oh and it has to be the fillet burgers, don't ask me why!

Glad you're doing a bit better, Compo. I was wondering how Coriander was too. Hope your doing ok.

Coriander73 · 07/02/2006 13:51

Hey there,

Haven't posted for a while as not been great. Sicky, queasy, tired etc....however today not feeling too bad which maybe maybe is a good sign? 9 weeks on Thursday so probably a little early to get excited?!!

Thinking of you all....it's of great comfort that we can write on this site & understand in the main what we're all going through! Am also thinking that Oscar is quite nice for a boy!!! (that's today's suggestion anyhow...am sure it'll change ten times!)
