Hi, I am five and and half weeks pregnant with baby number two. However I had MC last July at six weeks so very nervous as well as excited. I am due a six week scan on Friday to check if all is well so far. Because of this we haven't told anyone except my parents which is really hard as last time we told all the family but it was a strain listening to their attempts at sympathy when it when wrong. So here I am to announce to anyone that cares to listen that after six months I am pregnant again!! Yeah.

Hello. I've added my details to the stats but lurking a bit as only 5 1/2 weeks and absolutely no symptoms, so don't really feel confident yet. Getting scanned at 7 weeks so hopefully it will all feel more real then.

compo · 29/01/2006 18:35

TopBanana - so sorry to hear you're having such a hard time, fingers crossed for you.
KK - glad to hear everything is okay. Isn't the first trimester a total nightmare?!! Can't wait til March but no doubt then we'll all be moaning about huge bumps, limbs sticking into our ribs and sleepless nights - lol

vicki77 · 29/01/2006 19:38

Just joined mumsnet so hello! Have posted stats. Start the 8th week tomorrow. Do not have any symptoms yet, and beginning to worry slightly although I know I shouldn't. Not sure when scan is. I saw doctor as soon as I found out - so about the 5th week, although haven't heard from midwife yet. Be great when I do have the scan - will all seem much more real!

Haven't read through all the threads, but does seem like a lot of people have symptons....is it rare not to? Trying to put my mind at rest - it isn't a sign of anything out of the ordinary is it?

mabel1973 · 29/01/2006 20:14

hellkat and KK hope you have a nice chilled evening to take your mind off things.
Hang on in there Topbanana fingers crossed everything will be ok.
Think I am going to have a soak as well with a rubbish magazine...

benjaminsmum · 29/01/2006 21:30

Hi,
TB and KK - hope all turns out to be well my fingers are crossed as well as my toes.
HC glad things are looking up - as my midwife said if it is meant to be it will and if not it won't and there isn't a whole lot we can do about it which I think is the worst thing of all.
Nine weeks today and still feeling a little quesy but mostly totally knacked and could sleep all day if it wasn't for ds.
Midwife supposed to be phoning this week to arrange booking in appointment although seemed a little ditzy when we met her the other day so remains to be seen!

Welcome to Vicki77 and Roobedoo. Don't worry about not having symptoms, I had next to no pregnancy symptoms with my 1st so just try to relax and feel lucky that you're not throwing up!

HellKat · 30/01/2006 08:06

Welcome all.
Hiya Carly hun!!! Yep big relief. Still taking it very cautiously but it's a start. Be glad when i can get 9 weeks out of the way (last baby died at 8 wks) so setting up milestones here.
You're catching up with me now lol I'm 7+4.

kreamkrackers · 30/01/2006 08:45

morning everyone. i can't remember what i told you yesterday (my head feels like it's away with the fairies all the time atm) but the doctors think i might have a water infection and i also have a very bad cold. i feel like sh*t again today and got to look after dd which i really can't do. i'm taking the cocodamol to get myself better but i don't like taking them as i wouldn't even take paracetamol when pg with dd but it's so different this time as i have to look after dd (although she's enertaining herself i still have to feed her, change her nappy, bath her and get her dressed, clean up her sick which also keeps making me be sick, give her her meds, etc). i started to hullasinate (sp?) last night that the curtains were coming towards me so i'm going to try to get gp to do a home visit today but our gps don't like doing them. have to cancel hv coming around as i can't let her see the state of the house . i'm hoping all of this doesn't have an effect on baby as i really want a healthy baby this time, although i know we'll cope with what ever happens. my heads all over the place right now but i think sleeping has helped me a little bit hope everyone else is having a good day.

HellKat · 30/01/2006 08:56

KK, sounds like you're having a hard time at the moment. Take care.
Welcome Vicki and Roobedoo!

I'm still very sick just looking at the fridge makes me want to retch! Yuck! I was reading back earlier and noticed I'd spelt retch with a w (wretch) The teacher in me was appalled, but I'm putting it down to pregnancy brain But I do feel wretched!

For those of you who were on the 'fall' TTC thread, I noticed that Majormoo got a BFP yesterday.

Hope everyone is ok, it doesn't sound like we're a very healthy bunch at present!

HellKat · 30/01/2006 09:23

No.3 here for me too!

CarlyP · 30/01/2006 09:36

CarlyP · 30/01/2006 09:55

YOU HAVE SOME AGE GAP ASWELL.....JUST IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION TO ME!!!!

exciting isnt it! i reckoning ill have a boy again but my h is after a girl this time!!!........not sure if i want to deal with the hormones of a teenage girl in a few yrs though!!

Angeliz · 30/01/2006 10:01

KK and Topbanana, hopr you'r both o.k
Congratulations to the newcomers and comiserations to all the poorly ones+
To whoever asked about syptoms, i had none really with my other 2 so don't worry, just enjoy it.

WELL, i jus got the midwife, oh my Lordy what a patronising lady! I explained that by the time she booked me in i'd be 13 weeks and what about my dating scan?
She said 3 times "but it's just a dating scan". I said i'd had problems early on and wanted to see it and feel reassured that everything was o.k, "but it's just a dating scan" , I said i thought it was supposed to be between 8 and 12 weeks, "but it's just a dating scan"..

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Anyway, i didn't let her off the hook at all and wonder of wonders, she's doing a home visit this afternoon to book me in! Now why did i have to fight for it

puppy · 30/01/2006 10:02

Good morning all

Just had a quick scan through posts and will do my best to acknowledge everybody,

Hellkat, I am glad for you that you have found the cause of the bleeding, your beanie will be snug as a bug in a rug in that extra protection and I'm sure its going to go well
Angeliz I am absolutley appalled at your gps booking in system and would make a complaint
Sabarina I know all too well about the nips, I even woke up in the might because of mine
Top sorry to hear about your bleeding, couldn't you see a gp and see if they would check your bloods for you to make sure the hormones are doubling? and like hellkat says see if you can get any further with epu
kk I'm sure everythings alright and you'll be seeing a little heart beat in a fortnight, sorry your having a rough time of it, hope you get some rest
vicki77 and roobedoo welcome and congratulations
Homemama that thread we were on was one hell of a lucky thread, will pop over straight away to congratulate her.

I hope everybody else is ok, how are you norms and micku5?

I got my beta hcg result today and the hormone has gone from 12000 to 23008 , I'm only 6 weeks. I so hope its not twins ( they run in DH family), my morning sickness is up and down atm, I am finding sour lemon drops are helping with the horrible taste. Still very tired and slept most of the weekend . Still waiting for my scan appointment to come through, I hope its this week so I can relax as I had a tiny bit more spotting at the weekend but had stopped again.

HellKat · 30/01/2006 10:07

Morning Pup. Wow at your hcg levels!!! I thought mine high lol. Mine went from 12,000 to nearly 23,000. great sign. Don't worry about the spotting hnu. As long as there's no pain and it eases it's surprisingly normal.Just keep an eye on it.

mabel1973 · 30/01/2006 10:09

well done angeliz!!! but like you say - you shouldn't have to fight for it - that is just appalling!

puppy · 30/01/2006 10:16

ooh sorry missed your post angeliz, good for you, glad you got a booking in appointment sorted, I agree why should you have had to fight for it sigh. They need to have a good look at their system.

I have been told to wait till I have had my scan before booking an appointment with the midwife, apparently there is a 3 week waiting list so if I have not heard anything regarding the scan by friday I will make an appointment anyway as I will be 7 weeks.

HellKat · 30/01/2006 10:16

Lol Carly yep big age diffo huh?
Angeliz- Finally!!! Well done hun! Yes you're so right, you should'nt have to fight for this at all. Have they got a comment or suggestion box at your surgery? If so tell the exactly what you think or even better try to go for a complaing to the head of the nhs dept. Not sure where you'd find the info though.
