moan alert my DS2 has just puked all over my bed, down the side of the frame and all over the carpet and into the laundry pile. Then in the bath. Then on the bathroom floor. I have cleaned it and him up, but I was sick as a pig too while doing it, and the bedroom is stinking. I have no dry clean sheets as we have got through all three sets being ill this week.... Im knackered, and just want my DP to come home and hug me. (I hate his new job which means he's away a few nights every week).
Moan over.
Anything good on telly tonight???!

Dalrymps · 16/11/2011 18:26

Poor you greengooseSad how awful for you. Hope the puking stops and you get a good nights rest tonight.

Florin · 16/11/2011 18:52

dalrymps don't blame you about the smoking I wouldn't allow anybody to smoke around me and certainly in the future would be furious if around the dcs.
miniangel hope you get out of hospital soon and enjoy your mum being over

I have a mini rant and before I go mad at dh want to check I am not just full of pregnancy hormones. He has been at his mothers all day I have just arrived as been at work all day (after driving an hour to get here when I am knacked and just want to be at home) turn out dh has brought over my pregnancy notes for mil to flick through, these are my personal medical records they are private and really not for sharing especially without my permission. Really not happy with him

Kayzr · 16/11/2011 20:02

Florin I would be annoyed with him too. I know mine never had anything too interesting in them but I certainly wouldnt want my MIL reading them without my say so.

My MW rang earlier and she is coming Sunday afternoon.

thedogwalker · 16/11/2011 20:06

Florin, not that you have to tell us in detail, but what exactly is in the notes that are so personal that you wouldn't want mil to see/know. I agree I wouldn't be too happy, but imo, is it worth an argument over? Is it really that big a deal? Only checking, so please dont' shoot me. It's just I couldn't really get that mad over it because I really wouldn't be able to pinpoint what I was actually mad with, if that makes any sense Hmm.

Green, poor you and poor DCs, sending you lots of hugs and get well vibes. Plus soem more get well vibes going to *Mini, hope you're out of hospital soon.

Take care all and stay safe xx

Florin · 16/11/2011 20:26

Nothing that exciting in them weight etc I just don't feel they are anything to do with her and don't really see why she has a right to see them. There is no way she would let me see her doctors notes. They are also the only copy and dh has a habit of losing things or leaving things at places so don't want them beig taken out of the house without me knowing where they are. Not argued just had a few cross words and he now knows my point of view Grin doesn't help that I really don't want to be here!

JjandtheBeanplusPud · 16/11/2011 21:14

florin I'd be fuming! Absolutely livid at this stage the notes are just all about mum, not baby!

Managed to eat my first 'meal' in a week, if you can call it that, toast, scrambled egg, mushrooms and some bacon with a big glass of milk. Normally all of which make me green but I loved it.

Florin · 16/11/2011 21:35

jj congratulations on your first meal, sound like a healthy one too.
Forgot to say when I went to the midwife yesterday she recommended eating dried apricots as they are apparently high in iron-she also recommended green and blacks chocolate Grin

mrskitchen · 16/11/2011 22:25

Hello ladies, is there space for a new one? If so, how do I add my stats? Any advice for a new-to-forums person?

JjingleBeanplusPudalltheway · 16/11/2011 22:57

florin your midwife sounds great Grin I will be trying both, one more liberally than the other!

Welcome mrskitchen there's a list of stats several pages back, ill try and dig them out and post here for you but make no promises as I'm on my phone! Um advice for mumsnet, avoid am I being unreasonable unless you have a very thick skin! Here's probably the friendliest place to start mumsnet can be a bit daunting as some of the sense of humours are um confrontational lol. But once you 'get it' its a fantastic fun friendly and supportive site.

Is this your first? This is no.3 for me :)

I'm JjandtheBeanplusPud, namechanged for --christmas--

Dalrymps · 16/11/2011 23:42

Hi and congrats mrskitchen!

As Jj says, this is a good place to start. Am I being unreasonable is indeed a bit scary as can the breast and bottle feeding boards sometimes. Lots of good advice there but occasionally someone starts a breast vs bottle debate. Don't know why, we're all just doing our best after all!

Mmm Green and Blacks, how I wish I hadn't gone off chocolateSad

Kayzr · 17/11/2011 05:59

Welcome MissKitchen

Am I being unreasonable is great!! Providing you only read it and don't post thereGrin

I would like a small moan about hating having a downstairs bathroom!!! It's so annoying. Angry

Moan over and I might attempt more sleep.

mrskitchen · 17/11/2011 08:05

Ha ha, ladies and thanks for the welcome. I DID stumble across the Am I Being Unreasonable site and read a 10-page long witch hunt for one woman- it certainly put me off until I found this friendly bunch last night!
I'll be 12 weeks on Friday, quite late to start on here but my experience of the above stopped me looking. Will post properly after work.
Thanks for having me. x

thedogwalker · 17/11/2011 08:13

Welcome Mrskitchen. Here are the stats, cut, paste and add yourself to the relevant bit. I think there are a few others that have not added themselves yet. Wow you were brave tackling the am i being unreasonable pages. I do occassionally read them, but never post as you are likely to be shot at dawn Grin.

Morning to everyone else, hope we are all going to have a good day.

Morning all

florin I would be livid too. TO be fair he prob didn't think (mens' main problem really) but your MIL should have known you wouldn't have liked that and not looked. My MIL asked to keep my scan pic..! I told her no, it was our only copy.

green sorry for your mess...hope DC are ok and that you got the place clean. I know what it's like when DH works away and you just want a hug...virtual hug from me x

welcome mrs Kitchen

Well done on the meal jj, hopefully the end is in sight for the sickness.

I am off food at the moment..was craving anything but now can't stomach much. Marmelade on toast was last night's tea and even that made me feel sick. Sooooooo tired....can't cope with work today :( Need sleep

Kayzr · 17/11/2011 10:40

I take it all back about AIBU!!! The bloody checkout lady wouldn't let me buy Stilton this morning as I'm pg. But I didn't think I was showing. So I posted in AIBU but everyone says I am lying.

Oh well never mind.

ceeej · 17/11/2011 11:06

Kayzr I would have been furious about that, I do all our shopping so have continued to buy all the things I can't eat. And they're guidelines not laws. Think I'll steer clear of AIBU, sounds like there's some fairly confrontational personalities in there, will stick with you lovely lot.

Kayzr · 17/11/2011 11:10

I've just looked in the mirror and I do appear to have a bump!! A bump at 9 weeks!!! Bleeding hell!!

Kayzr · 17/11/2011 11:29

I just promptly threw my Stilton back up again SadSad

Maybe she knew something I didn't.

JjingleBeanplusPudalltheway · 17/11/2011 11:54

Oh kayzr you poor thing! Xx

I too have thrown up this morning, I feel strangely proud having only had nausea with the other two

StarlightMcKenzie · 17/11/2011 12:24

Lol at Stilton story.

Warlin · 17/11/2011 12:49

kayzr how did checkout woman know you were pregnant??!!! If you have a slight bump, was very cheeky of her speculate! I caught someone in work looking at my stomach yesterday. I have a slight bump but didnt think it was noticeable.

Kayzr · 17/11/2011 12:51

I dont know. I'm quite big anyway and I carry all my weight around my stomach so I guess a little bump could push my fat out.

HorseyGirl1 · 17/11/2011 13:26

Yes, re good candyfloss on TV tonight - I'm a Celebrity Get me Out of here! It's the only one of all the reality shows that is actually any good - love the bitchy comments from Ant and Dec! :-D

Florin · 17/11/2011 14:02

Kayzr not sure which Is right but spoke to midwife about it saying on NHS that it says Stilton is ok she looked shocked loaded it straight up and called her boss in. They said I really shouldn't eat any blue cheese or any rare meat. I was just planning a Christmas stilton but now airing on the side of caution. Of course I now am desperate for Stilton!
