Just back from my first scan, so excited we saw the heartbeat and the size puts date at 7+4 when I'd calculated 7+6 so pretty close.

JJ it's a real shame your ILs don't get that the best thing for you is what you want, councillor sounds really sweet though, nice to have someone that understands

green sounds like you've got a busy weekend coming up, we've not decided on fireworks yet, they do a great one in Battersea park but it will be a lot of standing around which seems to make my nausea much worse at the mo

callmemamma time was dragging so terribly for me, ticking off each week has been a major milestone, hopefully things will seem a bit quicker once you've got a scan date to look forward too

JJ - Good luck at the outlaws! Don't let anyone or anything spoil your happiness. I have expressed my distaste at FILs nastiness but I do appreciate he's just worried and that he's getting on and to let it go. But I will not, however, discuss PG with them at all -- including baby names, plans etc...His loss. Councillor sounds a great source of strength/support.

I have managed to keep lunch down but cramping pains in my back had me fetching hot water bottle earlier -- lasted about 5-10mins. Scary.

In awe at you KV -- cooking in advance! I need to get my butt into gear but am so....what's the word....demotivated? I keep blaming house move.

Am really looking fwd to the weekend!

Tell me if I'm being thick but how do you do this stats thing? It's just that every time someone is updating it I seem to disappear from the list...I was just doing copy and paste and then edit and add myself..is there a ready list somewhere?

oh my, my back pain is quite awful now. Keep crying everytime I move. DH is rolling his eyes a lot, but has put DS to bed, as I was yelping trying to get up the stairs. so sore and knackered today :( it doesn't help that coughing or vomiting makes it even worse...

had the delight of a 'broken banana' tantrum this afternoon from DS, swiftly followed by the 'oh no juice is wet!' howls. fun times, fun times.

A can of Sprite zero, a big tub of grapes and the remote all to myself, the joys of the OH playing indoor cricket!

Hope all you lovely ladies are getting some sit down time too!

JJ hope it's going well at the inlaws!!! We decided against telling either sets of parents just yet as my MIL took the previous mc worse than us.I feel bad as she is dying to hear I'm pg again but just want to be super sure!

I got the job that I applied for,so really excited,and as it's an acting up post for 6-8months it works out perfectly as it will end as I go on mat leave

kveta broken banana tantrums are the worst! I had a satsuma is too orange one today! Toddlers eh!

Well, I got the planned early night last night so feel a bit less tired today, which is great. Woke up and didn't have any nausea so I was . Then I got up. Ahhhhh, there's the nausea.

Have currently abandoned all efforts at healthy eating and will address that when I can get through a day without feeling so grim.

My DH told his boss about me being pregnant yesterday (was talking to her about some stuff that's causing him stress at work, so it was relevant to the situation as he wants to be as happy as possible at work so he can support me better at home). She cried. Quite a bit I think.

Funniest thing is, she's actually one of my colleagues so then was busy messaging me on the instant messenger saying how happy she was for me and stuff! It's really weird but however happy we are about his pregnancy (and we are delighted) everyone we tell seems even happier and more giddy than us - very strange!

jj how did it go at the in laws?

Scan yesterday for me and thank goodness all was well. There was a bit of blood showing up on the scan but underneath baby which is better than above apparently so she said if I get any bleeding it will probably be that. But all well, nice strong heartbeat, baby measuring exactly the right dates. I cried, was so relieved! Just seems my symptoms have disappeared for the time being, they lasted til 16 ish weeks with previous pregnancies so sure they will be back soon!

Had my scan all is good and seen the heart beat it was amazing. Got pictures too although it looks like a giant kidney bean! Feeling very excited now. Not sure how I am going to concentrate at work today!

Hi ladies, I 've had a bit of brown spotting with cramps this week, which is why I've been a bit quiet on this thread. It happened on Tuesday and then again last night and a bit this morning. On Tues, the mw service said if it happens again to go to GP as I'm not booked in with mw yet, so i've an appointment this morning. I still have the other symptoms inc tender boobs etc.

I'm feeling really worried. I'm trying to keep an open mind, but with the nausea and mood swings it's pretty hard.

Also, after telling the GP receptionist why I needed an appointment, she said 'do you really need one today?'. !!!

Any of you ladies who are mums already experienced this? Any advice?

Morning all!

I'm utterly exhausted today, hardly any sleep and had to be up and out at 6am as dp was taking the car to work :(

The bloody wimp didn't tell his mum so I've spent all morning having to cover for myself I'm actually quite cross with him tbh!

Grow I had some brown spotting with ds, must have been around 10wks, can't remember it too well as I didn't find out I was expecting until 10wks!! All tests were negative for him and I've had cramping with dd and this one, its common but if your concerned get checked and take care.

Congrats florin, it is so amazing seeing the little heart beat on screen! We are calling it "dot" now in our house!

grow Sorry you are having a worrying week. I haven't had any spotting myself but when I went to see mw yesterday she said they would only want to see me if I got bright red, fresh blood and not to worry about browny coloured blood. Someone else with experience of what your going through will hopefully be along soon. Good luck at doctors and fingers crossed for you. xx

Re: spotting: my friend had it with her DD, for weeks as far as i remember and all was well. Hopefully nothing to worry about it. Let us know how your appt goes and [rolls eyes] at receptionist.

Heartburn too JJ, yes it's all too soon! I am still sick so nothing nice or exciting to write other than thank God its weekend and i just paid for tomorrow's scan.

Great scan news Florin and Carty - bit of all the scans happening and ours is only on 01/12 but then glad that I haven't had any worrying reasons to lead to an early scan iyswim... (esp after the mc last time)

JJ poor you getting all psyched up to tell the IL's and then DH not telling them. When is he planning to tell them?
