Hello folks... Currently tucked in duvet, in hotel in brum after starting my course today!! Yay! Lovely room, just had a hot choc, and about to attempt my hour homework.

I have been in bed since 450 as the venue is 1 minute away from the hotel!! Am hoping to add everyone to FB at the weekend... But feel free to try to find me. Currently on phone, but my name on there is littlemonkeybiscuit

Met up with my pal for tea last night and we were gonna do it again tmw, but if today's anything to go by, I won't make it past 2 bites... Pooped!!

Happy birthdays, good lucks and anything else I've missed!! Sorry personals so lacking tonight.. But on phone.

Homework beckons, followed immediately by snoozytime! Laters people!!

Kayano · 31/10/2011 18:00

Envy monkey

I have successfully negotiated the terms of a McDonald's once I am done here. Ummmm. My demands were a trip to the drive through so I can eat my double cheeseburger in my pyjamas with my feet up on the settee, using Sophie as a table Grin

I'm going to be a terrible mother Wink

littlemonkeybix · 31/10/2011 18:14

Oooh good call kayano!! I was tempted by mega expensive room service burger for tea tonight (along with duvet!) However I ended up with a cheese bap, and salt and vinegar crisps!! Classy!!

DP told me to do room service tmw to relax and prepare for my exam weds!!! Well he TOLD me to, so I HAVE to!! Grin

He's been dealing with the trick or treaters tonight... I am so jealous I love halloween!!

Right... Homework head on (honest!)

PamBeesly · 31/10/2011 18:17

Kayano PMSL at ''using Sophie as a table'' that was hilarious Grin

I've lots of sweets in the bowl by the door and I've no trick or treaters yet, if they don't hurry up there will be none left for them!

Everyone who added me on facebook you have such cute children!

Anyone else feeling impatient to meet their little baby? I just want to see him and snuggle him, but he has to stay inside and get fat for 16 and a half more weeks

CoffeeOne · 31/10/2011 18:29

Pam I'm so impatient! When I try and explain it to my DP I keep saying "I miss him!"

We've had loads of adorable little trick or treaters round tonight, I want to squish them all!

24+2

hermionejgroooaaanger · 31/10/2011 18:39

kayano & phlossie I've added you both on FB :) but monkey I can't find you. (Not that you'll know until later because of course you are doing your homework Wink)

notcitrus · 31/10/2011 18:39

I'm impatient to stop being kicked awake all night! Either that or having my bladder sat on. At least when she's born someone else can hold her for a bit, even if she is a million times noisier...
On the plus side, all the physio exercises are paying off and I can walk a mile without much problem, just getting sore bum muscles from holding them in. But will have to go back to work next week. :(

But then I start maternity leave before Christmas - just filled in the forms. It's slightly reassuring that I get paid mat leave no matter what, now I've safely reached 24 weeks. :) And that babies are likely to live if born at 24 weeks onwards - though despite the aggravation I'll try to incubate this one for another 3 months...

babycarmen · 31/10/2011 19:34

I. Am. So. Tired.

DD had such a great birthday, shes in bed now out for the count. She has been like a rocket all day, got very spoilt and went trick-or-treating for the first time. Ive been on my feet all day and just noticed a bit of bleeding down below like an hour ago :( great. Baby is wriggling away though so il see how i go.

Up early tomorrow for the scan, those of you on my FB will know what team were on about 2pm Grin After ive phoned the grandparents etc! Im betting on team Pink but we will soon see! Very excited.

Sorry for lack of personals, im exhausted :(

babycarmen · 31/10/2011 19:35

Oh and notcitrus i know what you mean about being kicked awake all night... My child NEVER sleeps :( sigh..

26+0!

phlossie · 31/10/2011 20:03

I'm knackered too. Did shop and cleaning this morning, helped at pre-school in the afternoon, then took DD to a Hallow'een birthday party, back to pick up DS from a party, then we trick or treated down our road. Now I'm pooped!

notcitrus and baby - mine has been very active at night, though last night and the night before it was sleeping when I woke up so I lay awake for ages worrying and poking it. You can't win! I'm starting to find being uncomfortable at night very, very boring.

Facebookers - thanks for adding me! I don't know who you are compared to who you are on here, though. I might set up a group - not to replace this, but just so we know who's who.

Good luck tomorrow, baby. Hope the bleed isn't a problem.

I have a toffee apple to eat now. I'm not hungry, really, I just love toffee apples!

TheWicketKeeperIsDown · 31/10/2011 20:07

I put my forms in for mat leave today GrinGrinGrin

Finish at New Year - Cannot Wait!
It's a bit earlier than planned, and than last time, but I decided to take my obstetrician's advice this time. The only time I felt anything like approaching well last time was when I finished for mat leave. Only 8 weeks to go, including a week of annual leave! Grin

TheWicketKeeperIsDown · 31/10/2011 20:08

Keep forgetting - 24+1

PS we need a new thread!

pinkhollie · 31/10/2011 20:16

Hello everyone I've been very quiet lately as been nursing a cold and really not feeling very well. Plus my half term ended up being ridicuously busy and expensive with visits to the garage and the vet. My poor littlest dog reacted badly to a routine operation and I ended up staying up all of one night with her so massive sympathy for you sugarkane and the puppies. I suppose it was good practice for the sleepless nights we're all expecting soon!

I had a small meltdown yesterday after reading the baby whisperer cover to cover. As it all seemed so scary and decisions that I thought were simple suddenly became massive not going to go into immense detail here but might start posting some questions for those of you who are old hands at this.
Question 1 Moses basket, cot or crib or a combination of them and for how long?

Also happy birthday innocent and I will start adding people on FB if that's ok I am first name-one of the birds of a feather and actress from basic instinct, last name-very irish souding I keep all my security settings ridiculously high as a teacher as we have been warned of the perils of our students finding personal information on us.

pinkhollie · 31/10/2011 20:32

Ok just added a load of people on facebook I have sent a message where I can to say who I am. I couldn't send one to you louby

louby86 · 31/10/2011 21:01

Send me a link to yours pinkhollie and I'll try and add you. I'll try and make us a private group at the weekend, wish me luck!

littlemonkeybix · 31/10/2011 21:01

Ahhhhh, homework done! How correct it is is another matter!!

Gonna see what I can do FB wise... Got one add Smile yay x

QueenFee · 31/10/2011 22:01

My children never sleep will become your mantra for next few years!
Last night i was woken at 2 30am to find ds1 and 2 in the same bed wide awake reading and having a chat at full volume :o it then took them a couple of hours to go back off so I was seriously knackard and very grumpy this morning!

No trick or treaters here tonight :D kids had a lovely lion themed partu at church. Loads of sweets for me then!
Dh has just popped out for nappies and chips and curry sauce for me bless him x

Just found out I can get my £75 towards cloth nappies before the baby is born using my matb1 so now very excited about buying new fluff :)

woowa · 31/10/2011 22:08

Hi all, DH didn't get the job today, it's been a long and very tiring day for all of us (vicar interviews are open to wholefamily), and ending in sadness, again. So, sorry, not much to say, but desperately need to sleep now.

26+6 (11 more weeks to go ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH)

BillComptonstrousers · 31/10/2011 22:24

Oh woowa, that really is a bugger Sad hope you all get a good nights sleep.

11 weeks??? Either my maths is shit or I am missing something!

OP posts:
CoffeeOne · 31/10/2011 22:24

babycarmen I'm sure it's nothing but do check it out with your midwife and let us know how you get on x

QueenFee · 31/10/2011 22:29

Oh woowa, it's so disheartening x
Dh has been out of work since Jan so you have my sympathies

littlemonkeybix · 31/10/2011 23:16

Tried to add a load of you guys to my FB, but struggling as stuck on phone in hotel Smile

If you haven't got a friend request from me, I didn't mean it!! See if you can add me from those I have added... My pic is cherry blossoms on a white background.

Bedtime now... Was going to go before, but suddenly had an overwhelming vomitty feeling for about 30 mins. Considering I didn't get morn sickness, it threw me a bit!! Fine now though (weird!)

Night folks!!

Xavielli · 01/11/2011 06:03

Bill- from what I remember (preg brain) poor woowa found some blood flow problems with her placenta which means she must be scanned every couple of weeks and definitely won't go past 37 weeks gestation. Hope I got that right.

Woowa - so sorry DH didn't get the job. I'm really rooting for you all to be settled soon, it's an added stress you could do without.

Babycarmen - I know how you feel, I'm still suffering after ds birthday on Saturday. So easy to forget how much more tiring everything is when preg. Can't wait to hear what flavour baby is, wish I could afford another scan!

BillComptonstrousers · 01/11/2011 07:25

Ah I remember now xav thank you! I have an awful memory Grin

just catching up before I go to work. Managed to discuss ML with my manager yesterday. They dont have a clue what i am entitled to which is a bit disconcerting and are waiting for a leaflet from directgov to see what i am entitled to! I went onto the calculator thing on the website and showed them when i can leave and also mentioned the fact i am will have to take my 4 weeks AL before i start ML. Cue a priceless look! The staff handbook refers to only 20 weeks ML and is dated November 2009 so its very very out of date!

was sat in bed at the weekend watching x fctor and had telly remote on my belly. one huge kick later and it had flew off. DH burst out laughing. Getting lots of kicks high up and low down. convinced its bottom down atm or sideways on. he does swap from side to side but never up and down.

woowa sad about the interview but firm believer in fate and something better is waiting for your hubby.

PB good luck with the scan.

i have added one so far on FB as not really had time but if anyone wants to add me i am here www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=584980007

i really want to finish work at christmas. i have said i will go back in for a couple of days in january to help with a conference but they will have to alter my dates if i do. have to wait for line manager to sort out my AL before i can do anything but at least i have put them on notice when i want to leave.
