MUMS are you worried regarding the hospital call back??

Report
rockmum · 08/12/2005 13:34

MXmasW I hope it's all OK, who knows, it might be a rutine thing or something, don't get worried yet!!

Oh no! all those french unpasturised cheeses and pathes!! I wonder if pregnant women there do avoid all that stuff...

I just found this info www.moneysavingexpert.com/cgi-bin/viewnews.cgi?newsid1128506182,71306,

it's about nappies, I would def want to try the re-usable ones as they re better for the environment. Any of you with kids using these?

Rockmum, I use washable nappies. I started doing it to save money because my dd1 used to poo about 5 times a day so we'd get through about 7 nappies in a 24 hour period.
During one of my duller moments I did a rough calculation that it would have been costing me £1.50 a day in disposables, which would be over £500 in a year - so if it takes 2.5 years before potty training, that's a lot of money.
She now only poos 3 times a day, but we have already recouped our £150 initial outlay, and they will be good for the next one.

That's great stuff rubles, I want to be an eco-mummy as much as possible and I love saving money as well!!! (we NEED to save money if I want to take a year off work!)

mumsXMASwish · 08/12/2005 14:10

I always said I'd prob just get the disposables but after looking how expensive they are we may have to get some re-usables

OP posts:

rockmum · 08/12/2005 14:18

Yes you should honey! Cause the disposables take many many years to go back into the earth... I hate the idea of my kiddie's nappies being in someones fields for ages...

Rumbles: What about at nursery? do people there carry on with the disposables? (I imagine they give you your bucket at the end of the day eek!)

I'm in a relativly good mood. They wanted me in because apprantly my HCG levels are VERY high for the stage they think i'm at (they did that quick eh?) so I had to have them feel my belly to see if I was earlier and have been told to check my dates as they think I could be anywhere between 8-10 wks pg going on the HCG levels or there twins.

Although I'm pretty sure that my dates are right. (not completely sure tho) I've been booked in to see the midwife (and get a scan) on tuesday. In the meantime I've been told to rest.

I don't actually know what to think at the mo, i'm very overwhelmed.

apologies for just copying and pasting

Just spoke to the midwife and she sounds lovely (not like my last one!)

I've got an appt on the 4th January so I'll be about 8 weeks then and she said they'll scan me between 10-12 weeks. It was 12 weeks when I had dd and she looked like a little kidney bean, lol.

Feel better now and she's also given me her mobile number in case I want to get hold of her.
