Hi there - I'd like to join, did a test today and yep, up the duff... EDD August 17th or something. Second baby but feels like it's all new again. Still can't quite believe it!

Hello NBGWS, I guess we are not going to do much snowboarding now....

not feeling pregnant at all - but as soon as I saw the test my boobs felt sore. completely psychosomatic... How are you all? So exciting. I am sitting here with wet laundry in my lap and the house is a tip. Wow. a baby!!

I'm fine, sore boobs and abit sick but part from that I feel fine.

I'm in work, trying to make sure I'm not grinning too much so they don't ask why. Could lie to most people but not all (and the ones I cant lie to would tell the rest)

Have you told anyone yet?

no, literally did the test two hours ago and got husband out of a meeting to tell him on the phone but that's it. Have you told anyone? I don't dare as it's so early. Last time I told EVERYONE as soon as I found out. Is this your first?

Hello, would like to join the due in August thread. Probably a bit premature - did a test today and due on 19th August only four weeks. I am absolutely delighted but also aprehensive as have been trying to conceive since last Dec when I had 3rd M/c. Hope this is successful pregnacy.

hello everyone - really looking forward to getting to know you all.

Hi Trix, - congratulations! Sending you lots of good preg vibes, enjoy it and try not to worry. I'm sure you'll have a lovely healthy baby in August!

god, the eating has started. just inhaled a curry the size of Royal Albert Hall. With ds I put on 4st, lost it, and now looks like we are heading that way again.

are we all a bit bummed out that we can't have a drink at Christmas?!

Kitegirl; have had to cancel the trip to Austria. I've told dh to go as it maybe a while before he gets to go again.
I had to laugh though, I'd won a pair of Burton pants on e-bay 3 days before I found out I was pg and then they arrived in the post the day after!

Ah well maybe the year after next, lol!

Kitegirl I'll be joining you at Kings as my DD is 11th Aug, it may be a small world indeed. I had my DD there 4 years ago so will be in the new wing this time. Haven't rung the docs to get a midwife app will do that tomorrow.

Congrats to everyone else in this thread, here's to a fresh and alternative start in 2006! Well it is for me as I dont feel very pg right now but I know I will by Jan.

NBG - omg I know!!! girly excited scream

your trip was in April, right? And you booked thinking you would not be up the duff?

I booked a snowboarding trip to Italy for mid-Jan, we have been TTC for a few months and deep down I knew that I would get pg. Great trip, big group us going all snowboarders, I had put our names down for heliboarding literally on Monday. And yesterday - yep, pg... SO I will go and spend most of the week sitting in cafes reading celebrity magazines and watching crap Italian telly. I'll be 10 wks then, I think off-piste would be fine with powder snow etc but there's always the risk of some tw*at ploughing into you so probably will give it a miss! With ds I was surfing still at 14 weeks pg so it'll be really hard... But, I don't care,

But keep those Burton pants ready, I'll join you on the slopes next season!! We'll leave our dhs holding the babies!

(stupid time to post I know but bloody husband snoring so much that I either came downstairs or strangled him)

webchick! congratulations, see you at King's! Ds was born in a different hospital as we only moved to the area a year ago, but I have heard very good things about it!

ok I have to stop using exclamation marks

Hello everyone and welcome to the new girls, well done!!

Mxw, make sure you get plenty of rest this weekend!! I'm sure I'll do the same but I am a bit worried I haven't felt sick yet, only sleeping more than usual and the sore boobs, is it strange to not feel sick yet? 6 weeks tomorrow! What do you girls think?

Also for the second timers, how long did you wait to tell your boss? Is there a legal requirement to let them know what ever many weeks in advance?
