I had a pain in my side last week which disappeared after a few days but has come back again
I've also started getting aching pains in my shoulder blades.

This is already at 5 weeks!

I had really bad sickness with dd until 12 weeks so fingers crossed that doesn't come back.

I hope we all avoid it!

NewBethlehemGirlwithsparkles · 07/12/2005 16:01

Forgot to say congraulations Rockmum!

mumsXMASwish · 07/12/2005 16:07

NBG - Any reason for your pains? I've not heard of pain in shoulderblades before. It could be stretching in your side but your sholders? hmmmm

I hope you get better soon tho,

I did have this later on in my pregnancy with dd and tbh it didn't stop. I get it when I sit funny sometimes.

I think I'm going to ask to see the midwife sooner rather than later to put my mind at rest. I didn't sleep a wink last night and I've got a feeling tonights going to be no different.

If I'm totally honest I feel very anxious about the whole thing. I don't know whether it's because I'm more aware of what could happen IYKWIM. I too had an early miscarriage a month before I conceived dd so thats in the back of my mind too.

I'm sure after I've spoke to the midwife I'll feel tons better though.

jinglediddle · 07/12/2005 16:26

nbg - don't mean to worry you bu fi the pain gets worse you should get it checked out, pain inthe shoulder is a classic syptom of ectopic pregnancy and coudl be very very dangerous to your health if left un-checked. Don't mean to scare you, just wanted to make sure you are in the best health possible.

mumsXMASwish · 07/12/2005 16:32

Get yourself checked out just to be safe. Whens your app? did you say tomorrow?

OP posts:
NewBethlehemGirlwithsparkles · 07/12/2005 18:36

Have just been to Dr's. He said it's a pulled muscle. the pain isn't in the right area for an ectopic.

Big sigh of relief!

Midwife is calling tomorrow to make appt with me.

jinglediddle · 07/12/2005 19:17

NBG - phew, so pleased that you're ok and that you got it checked. well worth being sure. hope you're ok. Now go and put your feet up!!!

pucca · 07/12/2005 19:33

I've been trying to explain to dd about the baby. We asked her if she wanted a baby. Her response..... No!
Although she keeps patting and pointing to my stomache and saying baby

I've told everyone else. I can't help myself, it's so exciting.

Are those of you expecting your second noticing a bump yet?
