BB3 ...gosh I am startled by your post :O Hope everything goes well !!! Looking forward to hearing about the babies :)

BB3 · 19/09/2011 16:49

Thanks ladies just got here - sassy I thought you were joking about having a towel between your legs when your waters went but you weren't!! Where does it all come from?!?!!!

BabCNesbitt · 19/09/2011 16:51

Oh blimey, good luck, BB3! (Hope I didn't jinx you! Shock ) Looking forward to your news :)

bilblio · 19/09/2011 16:56

Good luck BB3! I'm impressed with you posting enroute. So much for the midwife saying it would be slow!

PenguinArmy · 19/09/2011 16:57

Have to admit I did think you were going to go soon, best of luck BB3

Am shattered today. Bad nights sleep but napped this morning with DD. Rushed to get ready and went to a new toddler talking class, arrived an hour early Blush and got told to come back later. Starting walking around park (me no coat, her no reins or buggy) and promptly fell and twisted my ankle whilst carrying DD but she was OK. Thankfully she just sat beside me until I was ready to get up. Park was spacious and we made it to the play area (where she couldn't understand why she was allowed on everything except some kids bike). Went to class and drop in center afterwards all nice. Just getting off to sleep, phone rang with appointment (yay) but woke her and me up. Just laid her back down. DH will be home in 30mins and think I'll do a quick dinner. All that walking on the ankle (which has previous ligament damage), plus the fall set off my trapped nerve has made me a emotional wimp.

Sorry had to moan somewhere. The lady on the phone had a go at me for refusing the asthma appointment so will see what MW thinks tomorrow. They rang at a bad time last time so I was maybe a bit off with them. Just no-one told me I had been referred for it so am still all confused.

mpops · 19/09/2011 17:00

Good luck, BB3! Thinking of you and the little ones. x

monkeybubbles · 19/09/2011 17:26

can't wait to hear baby news BB3 hope it all goes smoothly

penguinarmy that sounds horrible, hope you're able to rest for the rest of the day

CheshireDing · 19/09/2011 17:32

Good luck BB3 I am thinking she could be in theatre now I suppose if the placenta is detaching surely that's urgent! Fancy the mw saying earlier on it wasn't happening yet, tsk!

Rest up Penguin :)

bilblio · 19/09/2011 17:37

Been to the Dr's today about my cough and asthma. Thankfully I don't have a chest infection it's just asthma and a sore throat. So I now have an in-date ventolin, and a preventative spray to take twice a day.

I haven't needed a preventative for my asthma for years and the doctor was a bit reluctant to prescribe it as it's a steroid but when he realised I was needing to take my ventolin every 2 hours during the day and a couple of times at night he decided it probably was required. My GP surgery is a training practice so we have a lot of recently qualified doctors who aren't yet GP's they're very thorough, but very cautious too. It does make you feel well looked after though. :)

Only 2 more days at work, although with all the coughing I've done today, and the number of people asking if I should be in work I might make tomorrow a short day and do some work from home. I have to go in on Wednesday though. I've made cakes!!!

BB3 no doubt the last thing on your mind now, and it may be too late anyway, but try Tesco for car insurance. They don't show up on the comparison sites, but for me they came out £200 cheaper than anywhere else, 15% discount if you have a clubcard.

We're also having storage issues. We have 1 chest of drawers for LO which is currently in DD's room with all the clothes we had for DD (we only ever used 2 drawers, and the top drawer is nappy changing stuff. The "nursery" is an office, and will be for about 6 months, then my Dad will build some fitted wardrobes.
1 chest of drawers was plenty for DD, that's still all she has... but we've been given so much stuff by friends who've decided their families are complete. I have 2 big Ikea bags of clothes... all newborn or 0-3... all neutral colours. Plus promises of more when we know what flavour it is. I'm drowning white baby clothes!

GroovyRach · 19/09/2011 17:38

Oh wow!! Good luck bb3!!! Our next October babies are on their way!! How exciting!!!! X

BB3 · 19/09/2011 18:17

Well I'm not in theatre and they are in no rush to do section just being monitored strapped up to machine for heartbeats and regular internals to assess blood loss. Get the impression they'd like to put it off until tomorrow or later and I'm starting to get more peed off!!!AngryAngry just get them out they are obviously ready for goodness sake! Anyway rant over!

37 weeks today...:)

Penelope1980 · 19/09/2011 23:47

Best of luck bb3, and hope all moves in the right direction for you too groovyrach. How exciting.

Penguin hope you feel better tomorrow. I am feeling a bit rough myself as well, suddenly the sleep has got really bad and it means I feel so much more pregnant during the day. Hopefully not long now ... or hope at least if it is going to be weeks, I perk up a bit from how I've been feeling the last couple of days - not sick, just really tired.

38+5 today ... 9 days until D Day!

sassy34264 · 20/09/2011 01:56

i best type quick as this is the 1st time its let me all day. i think its cos of the number of messages, so can someone start a new thread soon!

good luck to bb3 and groovyrach

ive been getting loads of sleep, so dont think mine is imminent. awake now cos been emergency docs with jacob cos his breathing was awful. i have to give him ventolin through a mask every 2-3 hours through the night. they dont think its asthma, just a cold and a viral infection (ive seen no signs of either) Confused and apparently he has a raised temperature.

hopefully i will be able to post eventually! esp when you start a new thread as i can post on other threads- damn these smart phones- i hate mine!

34+5

BB3 · 20/09/2011 04:17

Hey ladies I'm posting very quickly because I'm supposed to be sleeping while babies do although I think that is the most ridiculous thing to imagine on a baby's first night as all you do is stare at them!!

Anyway we have two gorgeous baby girls - baby girl one arrived at 00.44 weighing 5lb 11.5oz and baby girl two at 00.47 weighing 6lb 1oz. Both have fed well and are sleeping soundly (unlike mummy) but names are yet to be finalised. They're both good weights so minimal monitoring unfortunately I'm losing too much blood so am on half hourly obs.

Ended up having emergency cs after contractions started immediately at 3 mins apart and then raced to one minute intervals within an hour: was all very surreal but a nice experience all in all. Feeling starting to come back which is nice.

Anyway will post names etc tomorrow as soon as we have them firmed up. Hope everyone is well.

Good luck groovy.
