Hello! I've just found out that I'm pregnant and due on the 23rd March! I'm 29 and live in London with my husband, dog and cat. So far at 4 weeks things are going very smoothly! I'm very excited about going to the doctor (even if they don't care) as feel it will make things more real!
If you're expecting in March too please join the thread and share a bit about yourself and how your pregnancy is going!

knitterati that definitely sounds like the baby to me Smile

Have fun casperella we are off to Dubai tomorrow morning ourselves - eek!

Jozam how lovely to see baby again, lots of scans for you! I have to wait another 5.5 weeks for my next one Sad

NotFromConcentrate · 23/09/2011 20:27

Happy Friday all! Wine

Total nightmare week thanks to work, so am grateful to be able to switch off for a few days. I have read all of your latest news, but but the time I logged in and went to post, I'd forgotten who I was going to say what to!

Hurrah for everyone feeling baby flutters Grin

Carlitawantsababy · 23/09/2011 22:42

Yes, knitterati that sounds like what I've felt too!
Jozambia glad you can come home and do some shopping and that you got to see your nugget again!
I've posted 13 week scan pic if anyone wants a look!

Carlita - I'm 13 + 6 and I've started to feel flutters in my tummy this last week too Smile. The books and web are brill but I do think they're catering for the masses so can't entirely get it right all the time.

Knitterati - we are also planning a European break in October/November! We're thinking maybe Berlin (we conceived in Hamburg so taking our bump - called hamburger, naturally! - back to germany!) but we'll see what deals we can get on flights and go from there. Where are you thinking of going?

It's so exciting to read everyone's experiences on here! Grin I love it! Can't believe I'm finally on MN as a mummy to be rather than wishful thinking!! Grin

Hope you're all having a good weekend.

feekerry · 24/09/2011 17:17

carlita nice pic!!! weird that even now they all look different!!

Carlitawantsababy · 24/09/2011 17:43

Ah broody what a lovely post! Germany trip sounds great.
feekerry yes, I was amazed at the difference in the baby between 11 and 13 weeks, incredible! Our 11 week scan pic is totally different. At this scan the baby has been laying on his back but turned away from the camera just in time for the photo, still kinda cool that you can see his spine and nose etc. I wish scans were weekly, feels like ages ago already! Smile

Morning ladies

Is anyone else still feeling dog rough??? I'm 16 week and got up feeling great, cleaned the kitchen, living room and bedroom and started ironing but now I feel so sick almost line a hangover, has everyone else started to feel better??? X?

ZhenXiang · 25/09/2011 12:59

Yup 17+6 and have been feeling better from 17 weeks, so hopefully you have only got a little longer to go x

Yay to all those feeling flutters, it is lovely isn't it!

Have to say though that I am not looking forward to when our bubs get that bit bigger and start doing the fanny kicks, ouch!

feekerry · 25/09/2011 13:15

I'm 15 weeks and starting to feel better. Def feel more human and less tired. Even started wearing make up again! Who fancies a bit of gender guessing then? I'm sure i'm having a girl. Will be very surprised if its a boy. Just have a feeling. Anyone else? X

ZhenXiang · 25/09/2011 14:24

Sure I am having another girl too, would be very suprised if I have a boy, especially as out of 13 children born to DH and his siblings only one is a boy.

NotFromConcentrate · 25/09/2011 16:34

Stogan I'm 15+5 and feeling much better (thought I was literally going to die of tiredness!) but I think the secret is to not suddenly start overdoing it at the first sign of the energy making a comeback! I'm trying to take it fairly easy, mainly due to lots and lots of work stress, and it definitely helps. Having 2 other children does limit how little you can do, mind you!

I'm certain I'm having another boy. I have no idea what makes me think that, but I'd be really surprised if it was a girl. DH is convinced it's a girl... One of us will be right!

broodylicious · 25/09/2011 19:46

Stogan - I'm with you, hun! I'm 14 weeks today and still rough rough rough Sad I'm tired all the time, being sick often and just can't guess whether one food that made me feel good yesterday will still be good to me today!! So confusing!! My sister had three or four weeks somewhere in the second trimester when she felt brill but she was sick the rest of the time so I'm prepared for this to go all the way for me too Sad

Don't let it get you down though - many people have said to me that sickness is a sign of a healthy pregnancy as it shows our babies are happy in there and our hormones are doing their jobs Wink Hope you're feeling better soon xx

Carlitawantsababy · 25/09/2011 19:48

I've been convinced all along it's a boy, I'll be really surprised if it's a girl though have no preference. I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels so certain! Maybe we could add our guesses to the stats to see if we get it right? Grin

knitterati · 25/09/2011 21:04

broody that's so weird! We were thinking of Berlin too! DH has a work conference thing, so we were hoping to tack on a few days to ourselves!

Still sometimes feeling dog rough - having good days and bad ones, because I've been so sick, I do think it's a girl Smile

Thanks for the advice on movements. Haven't had any since, but haven't been lying still and calm for a while either!

Hope everyone has a good week. Not looking forward to the 2hr trek into work!

Stogan · 26/09/2011 08:12

Thanks broody at least even 3-4 weeks of feeling good will be a bit of a break lol !!!
Feeling a bit better this morning buy haven't ventured out of bed yet !!! DH and I are off to Paris at the weekend, rfally hope I feel better and don't ruin a romantic getaway by moaning and sleeping !!!Grin

knitterati · 26/09/2011 11:25

Ooh! Stogan Paris! How lovely! Hope you have a fab time and feel better for it. I lived in Paris for a year, so I'm now off to get very nostalgic! Smile

Stogan · 26/09/2011 11:57

Oooo kniterati if u have any tips or places I must see then please do tel !!! Were going to the races and the moulin rouge and think I'll be shattered after that !!

Don't want to tempt fate but I do feel better today maybe because I saw our little heartbeating??? XGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

knitterati · 26/09/2011 12:43

Stogan Glad you're feeling better, maybe when you have something else to focus on, it's easier to forget how crap you're feeling sometimes? :)

As for Paris... For hot chocolate and the most amazing pastries, Angelina's: www.angelina-paris.fr/en/

I would have also suggested a visit to La Samaritaine, but they closed it down a few months after I left Paris for health & safety reasons - the shop was lovely to wander round and it had the best free view of Paris from their rooftop cafe.

If you want to go to a good French (food market). Bastille on Sunday morning 9-12noon. Lively atmostphere and amazing produce - veg, meat, rotisserie, cheeses, sausages, breads. You name it, even if you're not buying it's fun to watch the action!

umm what else?...there's a couple of restaurants I used to haunt, but can no longer remember their names or even if they're still there?!

Have fun - sorry for the thread hijack!

Stogan · 26/09/2011 12:56

Aw thanks knitterati that's fab, hot Choc and pastries sounds ideal to me. My SIL said about Bastille but we go the races at 11am on Sunday so will be pushing it as I'll need hours to dress the bump up lol Grin thanks again x

broodylicious · 26/09/2011 14:12

Oooh lucky you stogan!! We went to Paris last October- is it time for the l'arc di triomphe already?! The course is lovely, make sure you get a nice waffle, they're gorge Smile
we also did moulin rouge - some hate it, some love it...we had a great night so hope you do too. Only pain is not being able to take pix inside.
Have a fab time hun xx

knitterati · 26/09/2011 15:20

Carlita Lovely scan pic btw - only just got onto a proper computer (rather than iPhone app) to have a look :)
Tried uploading my scan pic and failed 3 times...might have to e-mail MN to add mine?!

EsmeMrsP · 26/09/2011 16:19

Hello everyone, I'm 30, from North London and I'm due on 20th March (first baby!). Would be great to chat to other soon-to-be-Mums. My circle of friends don't seem to be anywhere near having children yet so don't really have anyone close by to share the experience with.

Congrats to all of you! Smile

ZhenXiang · 26/09/2011 17:51

Welcome EsmeMrsP congratulations:) I am 31, also in London, West, having baby number two. I completely understand, it can be hard if everyone you know is not ready to settle down and start a family. Priorities really change when you have kids and I find friends who do not have children find it difficult to understand why you can't go out as much or as late.

All this talk of hot chocolate and pastries has made me hungry :) Enjoy Paris Stogan.

Stogan · 26/09/2011 18:27

Thanks zhen

Welcome esme x I'm having my first too and due 10th march, scary but exciting stuff isn't it !!! GrinGrinx
