ninah · 29/11/2005 17:16

I mean it, was desperately envious of your hair and general sang froid

ninah · 29/11/2005 17:18

gloves were in the Style section of the Sunday Times 'Luxury Items for Him' yes I pmsl too
they were supposed to have an edge of criminality and fetishism that makes them irresistible

dramaqueen72 · 29/11/2005 17:24

i might have to buy them now then.......
my hair??? oh my, its like a nightmare, glad it at least gave off the impression it was wellbehaved hairdresser type hair

bonkerz · 29/11/2005 17:52

Hi all, Done nothing today but still am in pain! Ds has gone to bed cos he was SO grumpy!
What is this burning sensation on top of my bump?! It hurts so bad! To top it all ive got bad acid reflux again and cant find my tablets! My back is painful and i have a headache! OH WELL Moan over now!
NEMO? WHERE ARE YOU? How did midwife go today? hope all is still on course for induction on 15th!
am going to go lay down again! Worse part is i have no milk in and really fancy a cold glass but cos ive been held prisoner today i have nothing in to drink except tap water!

sweetheart · 29/11/2005 19:04

OK ladies - some of you had better be about coz I need a verdict as to what has just happened?!?!?!

I felt a small trickle - a bit like I'd wet myself, but only a really small bit.

I went to the loo to check and other than some discharge (which I've had right throughout this pregnancy) and my knickers being a little moist... again there is nothing else there.

So..........whats the verdict have I
a) had a show
b) lost some of my waters
c) just wet myself

I've also got a very mild tummy ache but that may be entirely down to just eating Chilli.

Nemoinapeartree · 29/11/2005 19:15

SH put a sanitary pad in your nicks and if it is wet after half hour then phone hospital. This is what I was told when I was 34wks with adam and my waters were threatening to go.

bonkerz all went well at mw. Have to go weekly now but then its only another 2 appointments until baby is here . Was told am having a big baby which is no surprise as they told me that all the way through with adam to.

Hope everyone is ok.

dramaqueen72 · 29/11/2005 20:33

s/h most of my waters go like this.... its soooooooooo frustrating as you cant be sure its not wee....think you'd find waters keep coming, enough to wet clean knickers........and they can do a simple swab at the hospital.
thinking of you girl!!!! ((hug))

ei23mistletoe · 29/11/2005 21:06

hello again ladies!! serious preggy brain attack earlier on!! i was making me and dp's dinner and decided to wash the dishes so i put the tap on and forgot about it promptly flooding half the kitchen!! i felt like such a forgetful fool esp since i keep meaning to buy a new mop and keep forgetting to do that aswell!! oh well no harm done i just had to soak up the water with a few of my nice clean towels- gives me somethin to do tomorrow i suppose, washing i mean!! always a silver lining...

scully · 29/11/2005 21:40

sorry ei but that is funny at least your floor will be clean now
sh, maybe you're next?? I would find it hard to tell if my waters broke like that this time, as my pelvic floor is no use to me now when I sneeze
Last time my waters just gushed so it was very obvious....
Nothing major needed at the dentist, and I love the fact it was free I take dd on Thursday for her 1st visit, can't wait for that....not.....
Visiting the hairdresser tomorrow for a cut/colour, first time since June, so can't wait, as long as hormones don't do strange things to the colour
Sorry dq, bit uninspired about the dh present bit - I bought mine Sheryl Crow tickets for his b'day/Xmas, doubt he'll be getting much else unless he finds a job
Great idea about the camera sh, must remember that for dd. Have already bought her something from the baby and for the baby from her.
& some exciting news, my good friend who lives 5min away had a baby girl today They will be thrilled as they already have a son and her dh has 2 older boys as well. Her girl's name was going to be Kiana Jade, not sure if that's definite or not yet.
Hope everyone's not feeling too bad this evening?

katzguk · 29/11/2005 21:41

oo sweetheart i hope this is the beginning

sweetheart · 29/11/2005 22:32

ok, well I haven't had any more leaks so I'm really not sure what happened earlier.

I've had a bit of tummy ache so perhaps it might develop but I doubt it.

Anyway, I'm off to bed now. I'll check in tomorrow to let you know if anything has happened. Hopefully not tonight though coz I'm bloody knackered and could do with some sleep

dramaqueen72 · 29/11/2005 23:55

sleep well s/h.

sweetheart · 30/11/2005 08:34

well, nothing has happened over night. I'll be out most of today - I just wanted to pop in and let you all know so no one panics if I'm gone all day!

I'm a bit dissapointed as I thought I may be in the full swings of labour by now but never mind.

I hope everyone has a good day.

MINNIE1 · 30/11/2005 08:35

SH,
How are things this morning?

DQ,
I do get worried at times... but i have the essentials.. I'm more worried about a name !!

Flutter,
Hows little bubs

george32 · 30/11/2005 08:39

You never know SH, it might be a sign that things are going to start moving soon. Don't stray too far from home will you.

Hope you feel better today Bonkerz. I will try to find out more about this burning thing today as I'm seeing the GP.

I had a really cruel dream last night that I had slept right through til morning. Opened my eyes and it was only 2.00am - grrrr, what a mean trick that is!!!

MINNIE1 · 30/11/2005 08:52

george32
lol at your nights sleep, your another non sleeper, its a right pain in the a%%..

SH,
Lets hope its the start.. Take it easy..

Bonkers,
I have heard of the burning sensation at the top of bump.. Could it be bubs kicking ribs and leaving a burning sensation? A girl once decribed it as a raw pain...

Hope that makes sense!

Had the doctors yesterday and have to go on iron!! lucky me.. she said all is fine and bubs is cooking nicly..

Jaysfirst · 30/11/2005 09:28

morning,

bonkerz i have had that feeling a bit over the top of my bump and around the belly button, my MF said it was just the skin stretching on me...who am i to argue!
Woke every three hours last night, on the dot...god i will be so prepared for waking up and feeding wont i? tend to have a cat nap about 12 for an hour or so though just to keep up with it all!

Have to think about getting my bag up together, i was going to do it last weekend but with PIL here didnt get round to it! i have a few lists going on now

oooo SH def not long to go for sure, make sure you are in Marks and Spencers when your waters go, i heard they give prizes of some kind and you get your shopping for free!!

ninah · 30/11/2005 09:41

wow sh hope all is OK, when my waters went with L it was like Niagara but as I've never gone into labour naturally I don't know what to expect, I guess the pressure is building up so a bit of leaking is going to happen it may just be that (don't sneeze lol!)
can't sleep either! trying to train L to be dry at night which means waking him up for a wee at about midnight ... he's SO grumpy and his dad tried bribing him with jelly babies which has NOT helped grrrrr
really cold here today all the leaves blowing off the trees, L and I late trying to catch them, was fun
dq I don't have THAT pressie dilemma as NO i'm not buying for p this year! seem to be making up for it by spending loads on everyone else tho ...

Jaysfirst · 30/11/2005 10:14

anyone got any advice on baby changing bags? i do have a smallish bag that came with the travel system but i think i might need something else?
