Of course, we don't know yet what flavour MicroG is either, but I have my suspicions it's going to be a complete set of boys for us lot.

Bites I had leakage one day, randomly, and it completely grossed me out and I was then v.surprised at how grossed out I was. And yes it does spoil the effect Grin and quite possibly the trench coat too.

I drank so much gaviscon yesterday. I am now wondering what effect this will have further down the line if you get my drift. I suspect it will not be beneficial. Sink plunger, anyone?

MadameBoo · 08/07/2011 10:29

Oh I've been thinking microG is a girl, me. But then I don't have the best track record with gender prediction (as we know, my woo is overrated).

Ginfox · 08/07/2011 10:49

Morning folks.

Fours friends have given birth to girls in the last month, so for that bonkers reason I hope Foxcub is a boy. But really don't give a monkeys either way of course.

Hope everyone's balloon/haggis feet are better today. So far so good with mine.

My bump feels completely solid today, very heavy, and everywhere I prod is baby. Can't believe it isn't trying to get out yet, but still seems to be bungeeing. Hmm

BrownB · 08/07/2011 12:35

Hello there everyone. Have just spent bloody ages catching up with the past three pages - great to hear about GG's move going well etc, and still shuddering about Alp's PTSD.

Re testing - head in sand here. Booking in on Monday. Will discuss at this point. (I don't know what Edwards is, and am a little hesitant to google as am still worried about falling-out-of-teflon-womb syndrome. One worry at a time..)

Regarding the boys versus girls thing - my brother has two girls, my cousins all have numerous girls (in my family there isn't a single boy from the kids born in the 70's - that's 12 (13?) girls). My best friend has two girls and my OH wants a girl (he already has a boy from a previous...). I honestly don't care as all I want is a healthy baby.

There are four lays imminent - no? Grin

AlpinePony · 08/07/2011 14:18

I think I've got another boy here.

Walked in to beauty salon and she said 'there's something different with your face, what's up?'. So much for keeping it quiet. One of her clients had Edwards two years ago. :( found out at 20 weeks.

AlpinePony · 08/07/2011 14:19

PS things I like doing: a 2 hour fast hack over the hills in the sunshine. Things I don't like doing: cleaning out the automatic watering bowl because Einstein's pooped in it. :(

owlbooty · 08/07/2011 15:49

Oooh, Ginners I thought you were team blue, not team yellow - I bet it's a boy though.

Brownie I've been saying that same thing throughout. All I want is a healthy baby that arrives safely. You are wise to step away from the Google as I am still armed with the kipper Grin

Five lays pending in the next 4-5 weeks. Ginners, GG, Bitey, Macca and me. I'm sure Ginners will get there first as she has a head start on the rest of us but tis certainly going to look a bit empty in here once we're done!

LadyGoneGaga · 08/07/2011 16:03

Well, mine might be next week. Spoke to nurse today. She's not happy with my blood sugar. She mentioned putting me on insulin but when I pointed out I was nearly 38 weeks she said they might just decide to get the baby out instead. So I see the consultant on weds. Been on the EPO in any case. And if not will have to start going in for monitoring twice a week.

I don't know what am having. Have an inkling may be a girl but I thought that last time and produced a boy so hAve no faith in ny inkling. And don't care either way.

What is with the pregnant face thing? I totally have that too Alps.

Is going to be a fun few weeks in the Deli I think. Hopefully will leave a big Differ vacuum for the BESH to rush into.

38 weeks! Wow... I feel as if that went fast. My own journey however is dragging it's heavy feet. And today am trying not to worry about an ache in my lower tummy. I realise there is a lot of growing to do and that will cause aches and pains. But it feels like and squeezy bearing down kinda pressure (not cramps yet, but of that ilk) and it's freaking me out. AngrySad Someone slap me with a fish...

Sorry for posting that twice. Brownie try not to fret. You get all manner of weird pains in pregnancy, mostly benign. Am sure it us all good. How many weeks are you now? If you are worried could also speak to your midwife.

OP posts:
BrownB · 08/07/2011 19:08

I don't have a bloody midwife yet. Am 11+2 weeks. As predicted, the reassurance I felt after the scan last week was short lived. I'm so fucking zen. Sad

BrownB · 08/07/2011 19:09

(My booking in appointment is on Monday)

AlpinePony · 08/07/2011 19:21

Can you get to the EPU this weekend?

There are all sorts of pains it's true, I took a week off work at 17 weeks for the pain and was only given 'ligaments' as an explanation. Do you still 'feel' pregnant?

BrownB · 08/07/2011 19:58

Yes - I guess I still feel pregnant. Just weird pressure/ache (and a little backache). My nausea has been decreasing for about 10 days and have a little more energy now as well. I hope all is well and am aware that there's little to be done if not. Sorry to be neurotic on you all.

LadyGoneGaga · 08/07/2011 20:16

Don't forget that the placenta will be taking over the hormone production job now so you will start feeling better and, paradoxically, less pregnant. Hugs though, I know its a fucking worrying time. But you could even ring the epu for some reassurance.

OP posts:
Muser · 08/07/2011 21:18

Just lurking around for potential lays. BrownB you really do get all sorts of aches and pains all the way through pregnancy. I remember some in the early weeks that had me doubled over trying to walk to work and freaking out big time. Let me give you a sneaky hug while slapping you with a nice wet haddock.

owlbooty · 08/07/2011 21:44

Aw Brownie lovely please do not fret - impossible I know. I had bloody horrible cramps and aches all over the place around that point and all my symptoms had completely vanished - twas v.scary but turned out to be womble-expansion and ligaments stretching. Really hurt when I sneezed/laughed/coughed too, are you having that happen as well?

GG bloody hell next week?? Thank goodness the house move has happened.

MrBitey · 09/07/2011 14:25

How are you today Brun? I had strange stretchy crampy feelings at around this time, they got worse if I stretched suddenly but sometimes would pull so hard when I got off a chair I would have to sit back down again sharpish. Can you go to the early pregnancy unit? They may be able to advise you over the phone too. Please try not to worry too much. Easy for me to say I know.

Crikey GG, next week ay? Hope you have a better time with the consultant on Weds. You might be snuffling by next weekend! Are you looking at induction or a caesar?

No further leakage but I was a bit shocked by how much came out! The seat belt must have been really pressing the right spot. Funny mixture of gross out and pride that buzzwams are gearing up.

Had my post-poned birth planning session with the MW yesterday. She is lovely and I think I may have a bit of a crush on her. All questions answered and clarified. The good news is that Bitey bach is head down, spine at the front and not the monster size I have been worrying about. On the bad news front, she did say that there appears to be some kind of cluster laying going on in the area and the birth centre and the labour ward have both had to divert people to the next nearest birth centre (30 miles) or hospital (50 miles) as they have been too busy! A few of her mothers have ended up deciding to stay in the house and have HBs instead. I do not want this. If I had wanted a HB I would have sorted a pool long ago. The FDH has promised he will get me where I need to go and if necessary in the back of the camper van so we can pretend it's an ambulance and I can lie down.

AAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh!

Oh yes, FamilyCar is in the drive, Isosix base in fitted, car seat has been practise transferred in and out at least five times by both of us. Was completely organised but realised the fucking cat had taken advantage of my distraction with the midwife to put himself and his muddy paws in the pristine moses basket for a sleep. He has waited 9 weeks but got in there in the end. I hate him Angry

Sorry about the essay! My broad band broke last night so had lots to say!

PS also have pregnant face. It is like the moon.

owlbooty · 09/07/2011 14:46

I haz just snorted my drink seeing that. Grin My moses basket is still in a plastic bag as I know damn well the minute it sees daylight the fucking cat will be in it like a shot. Ditto the car seat and the carrycot thingy that fits on the buggy frame. And the baby bedding. And anything else that is not supposed to be furry and covered in shite.

Most excellent news on the non-massive Biteybach and correct position; not so good on the clusterlay in the local area but tbh twas always going to be the case as we are stupidly having baybees in peak season along with all the muppets that got drunk having a Christmas shag. I believe, though, if you wait as long as you possibly can then pitch up at your chosen venue in full-on labour, they can't actually turn you away. Might be a bit stressful though so possibly not the way forwards. It might be worth telling them you are considering home birth so that if push comes to shove and you've got the choice between staying home and a 50 mile trip at least you are prepared and so are they.

I do not have a face like the moon but I do have a massive arse. I bought a swimming costume yesterday and the pants bit is just comical. If my arse stays this size after the Owlet arrives I will need a whole new wardrobe of massive-arsed clothes :(

FannyPriceless · 09/07/2011 14:59

Just popping in to wish you all the best LadyG. Glad you got the house move sorted in time. If you need any help or emergency supplies for the final stretch please feel free to give me a yell.

And owl - sadly I still have the comedy arse a year later. Grump.

macaroonmum · 09/07/2011 15:35

GG Bah to blood sugar but it's exciting that there's going to be a micro-g/ littlelady very soon Grin

There's a full moon on July 15th. Just in case anyone else believes that stuff. And on the 30th.

Brownie I'm sure things are fine - I had excruciating crampy pain in my belly when I turned over in bed for the first 4 months. And a sore back. S'ligaments and that relaxin hormone and other stuff I think

MrBitey Great news on positioning and loverly MW. It might be quite cool to do the hosp run in a camper van. As long as there's a mini-fridge with treats at hand.
I've been trying to keep thechild out of the baby's cot/pram as she insists on getting into it. Not as hairy as a cat though.

Alps someone, somewhere will have had a pregnancy with Edwards. It has no relation to you. Stop thinking about it.

I'm too hot and sweaty. Adds to my already gorgeous figure of hobbling, fat lady.

Ginfox · 09/07/2011 16:08

Macca I'd noticed we're expecting a full moon on 15th. Anyone who works in the NHS knows that the nuttiest patients come in to hospital on a full moon, therefore I would put money on the Foxcub insisting that I go in and join them.

Also my horoscope for the week (in the Scotsman) said my dreams will come true on Friday (dreams, nightmares, same thing). So that's settled then.

At least those on Cervixwatch can stand down for a few days.

Bitey I too have the pregnant face, which matches the pregnant feet, ankles, hands, and - of course - boobage. Am avoiding mirrors wherever possible.

BrownB hope you're ok. Sending virtual cake chamomile tea and relaxing massage for chillout purposes.

Medee · 09/07/2011 17:13

I had the super full moon a week after my due date and still nothing happened!

Brownie hope you are OK today.
