Oh Gaga what a total pita. :(

You were all right I think, just a little bug and seem to be coming out the other side. I've got drucks left over from last time and if I need to will be straight up to doc. No messing!

Ginfox · 14/06/2011 18:39

LadyG it's time for your solicitor to earn her keep. If they'd already agreed a date, they'll have to get out and find somewhere to stay until they can move in. Hopefully common sense/guilt will prevail when they appreciate your circumstances.

If not, send the PESH round to see them. We're hormonal, we haven't slept for ages, and we haven't had a proper drink for months.

rocketleaf · 14/06/2011 21:38

Gaga, so they move out into rented accommodation or a hotel. Them wanting to do work on their new house? Guess what? NOT YOUR PROBLEM!!! Fucktards.

Glad you are feeling less pony pony ;-) also hoping diffment is going to treat you a bit more kindly this time round.

BrownB · 14/06/2011 22:08

Hello everyone... I feel sick...

Congrats to Rocket, Laurie, Twinkletoes and all the others who have recent babies. Your birthing stories were all amazing. LGG - what shit stress you really don't need re your move. Hope your lawyer is able to sort this for you.

I've been a little hesitant to venture over to the Deli as I've had two mc and am only 8 weeks pregnant. But I feel really fucking sick and I'm a little hesitant to moan in the Palais. So, here I am. I hope not too early, and am hopeful this one might stick...

I am despairing slightly today In spite of having recently discovered nausea every waking hour, am noticing my waist is already getting bigger... What a weird and unpleasant feeling this morning sickness is. Envy (for the colour, not the emotion..)

rocketleaf · 14/06/2011 22:17

Welcome brownie did I miss an announcement from you or has my sleep deprived brain just forgotten? Congrates in any case and commiserations on the sickness. I suspect the waist thickness will be bloating from the oukiness. I had a similar thing early on. It'll prob ease off a bit when the sickness does and then thd proper differ belly will take over.

Ice pops are your freind. And tums for the bloating.

BrownB · 14/06/2011 22:30

Thanks Rocket - I think you were otherwise occupied when I was prevaricating about whether I was announcing or not.

Tums huh? Thanks for the tip. Will check it out tomorrow.

Alps - hope you're feeling a bit better.

Rie - just in case you're listening Hmm - hope you get three lines and an egg or something...?

Medee · 14/06/2011 22:35

Welcome and congrats BrownB!

GAGA, you're really going through it. Have some nice ham.

I ordered from LoveItx3 yesterday and they arrived today - so nice I had to share, really good quality and reduced. Can't wait for EA to be big enough (and yet at the same time I want to keep her tiny!)

This www.loveitloveitloveit.co.uk/product/positively_organic_short_sleeved_flowers_baby_vest/ and this www.loveitloveitloveit.co.uk/product/duns_sweden_ladybird_romper_suit/

AlpinePony · 15/06/2011 05:18

Oh that's gorgeous Medee and a great reduction. There's nothing on this earth would have me drop 20 on a single suit, but that's a great discount and the new baybee's going to need something right? Right? (Self-justifies)

AIBU for wanting a boy because they're so awesome or AIBU for wanting a girl because the clothes are so adorable. Maybe MOG twinz!

brown I'm afraid that's your waist gone for the foreseeable. I wasn't in maternity until 17 weeks last time but that was down to a large discrepancy between are and waist. I do not expect to be so lucky this time.

Am filled with the lurrrrrve this morning and about to go to the office. Hope I don't lick anyone.

LadyGoneGaga · 15/06/2011 06:23

Lovely to see you in here, Brownie. I completely understand the fear, as you know. But really hoping this one's a sticker for you and the fact you are feeling so sick is a good thing (although doesn't feel like that). Hoping the first trimester flies by uneventfully. I had to start wearing maternity by about 10 weeks this time Blush.

Alps I feel like that. Boys are brilliant fun. But the girls clothes are just sooo gorgeous. It was lovely buying a little girls outfit for my new niece. We went for an unashamedly pink and frilly dress and little matching yellow embroidered cardie for M&P (I know, I know but was sooo cute). I was thinking i might have a girl in my belly but confirmation of enorma baby seems more boy like somehow!

Love those little outfits, Medee. I didn't even look at the price. But you're worth it.

Thanks for all the support. Still enraged but will wait to see what the solicitors come back with. MrG is his usual laid back fashion seems to think he will do all the work in any case and all I have to do on move day is sit on a chair and watch (probably with my TENS machine). We are having packers but even so. Maybe I should sign up for a spa treatment for the day after all. At least is taking my mind off the GD.

AlpinePony · 15/06/2011 07:14

LadyG My mum had GD and gave birth to a nearly 12lb (on her back, in stirrups Shock) girl. Wink

LadyGoneGaga · 15/06/2011 07:23

But what about my vaginaaaaaaaaaaaa?!

OP posts:
AlpinePony · 15/06/2011 07:51

You can always change your mind y'know, and not have this baybee. Pretend you're 15 and your dad's a vicar.

LadyGoneGaga · 15/06/2011 08:12

My maternal Grandmother had 4 boys, all 10lbers. She was only 4'11". Paternal Grandmother was rumoured to have had one weighing a stone (sadly died though). I should just WTFU.

How is the vomming this morning?

OP posts:
AlpinePony · 15/06/2011 08:36

Yeh but back then vaginas weren't for pleasure were they? Wink My mum once said to me "I'd rather write a cheque for the gas bill". HmmGrin

I haz not vommed this morning - so clearly it was a bug. Vomming to resume next week I'm sure.

MadameBoo · 15/06/2011 09:06

I had GD and smallboo was only 7ib 7. Although my vagina is still honeymoon fresh cos I was too post to push and all that. Take heart Lady :o

MadameBoo · 15/06/2011 09:07

7lb 7. posh. Tsk (goes to find a big wet fish for slappage).

AlpinePony · 15/06/2011 09:11

I assumed it was a typo for "pist" and thought you were "too pist to push". Wink

BarbiesBeaver · 15/06/2011 09:15

Glad to see you here Brownie. Although sick is not so much fun. Have you tried ginger biscuits?

MadameBoo · 15/06/2011 09:16

Yeah, that as well probably Alps after all the G&A, the meptid and then the epidural! :o

MadameBoo · 15/06/2011 09:16

Peppermint tea anyone?

owlbooty · 15/06/2011 11:02

You moan all you like, lovely. Muser was chief vomiter for a long time but I think BB has since inherited the crown. I'm sure she's longing to hand it on to someone else Grin I found sucking boiled sweets helped with the vague nausea but then I didn't get the full on barfing some people in here have had.

GG what absolute, absolute fucking twats. I hope karma rewards them fully in due course.

I am still worrying about the bloody iron levels. I just know it's going to end up with them telling me I can't have a home birth. Cluster-lay chums; do you know what your iron levels are? I have no idea if I should be worrying this much about it or not and Dr Google has been v.unhelpful.

Orchid12 · 15/06/2011 11:18

Great to see you Brown Owl.

GG hair strokes to you.

Owlie At 34 weeks my iron level was 10.5, which was classed as too low, needs to be 11.5 I think. I started taking Spatone and at 36 weeks it had gone up to 11.3. So, technically it's still too low, but MW was good about it and I will be tested again when I go on Monday at 38 weeks. So far I have avoided iron tablets and managed to get this up just with Spatone (I take two sachets every couple of days instead of just one) and eating more dried fruit etc. What's your levels like?

MadameBoo · 15/06/2011 11:18

Why is they always have ten squillion excuses why you can't have a home birth? Angry

AlpinePony · 15/06/2011 11:24

Oh god I've made a horrible mistake. I signed up to the Feb ante-natal thread. What a bunch of cunts. I'd forgotten how I had to leave the last one due to some dippy twat banging on about having nothing to do all day and then finding gristle in her M&S microwave meal. They've already started with the hair-dye/caffeine questions. I will carry my cakes on horseback with my head held high. [defiant]

What have "low" iron counts got to do with a home birth?

owlbooty · 15/06/2011 11:35

Boo I know!! Given that it is the cheapest option you'd think they'd be begging us to do it.

pone there's absolutely no evidence to support this but apparently the evil NICE guidelines state that under 8.5 you should have the baybee in a hospital and under 10.5 it's a bit borderline. It's something to do with PPH but is probably bollocks because they don't take into account how much your blood dilutes during pregnancy so the iron level can be lower in a sample because it's spread across more blood. If you see what I mean. And yes, I too have avoided the antenatal threads for the same reason Grin

Anyhoo; Orcs yours seems to be on the right side of 10.5 - so that is v.reassuring to know that the spatone did make a difference so quickly as I am also taking 2 sachets a day plus the odd ferrous fumarate tablet when I can stomach it. My levels were around 12 at 12 weeks then it slid to 10.3 at 28 weeks. So I am getting tested again next week on Friday and hopefully if there is improvement then I can just carry on doing that BUT if it hasn't and they have slid further then I suspect I am basically fucked as I will probably not have time to get the levels back where they need to be before Owlet turns up.

I know this is minor shit compared to some of the other things people are coping with in here but we have to take into account my absolute terror of hospitals, freakish resistance to anaesthetic of all sorts and the likelihood that my foof will clam up and refuse to allow the baybee out should I be forced to deliver in one. Gah.
