Wow all go in here today!

Fantastic news for Extreme!

Ski mahoosive congrats! Your two will be best buddies being so close in age and hopefully not ask questions like "do we have to keep her forever now?" like my eldest!

LGG sorry about the shite appointment, sometime these weight estimates can be miles out. Hope it turns out to be nothing to worry about.

and Barbie so glad the scan went well, you must be all smiley with the good news.

LadyGoneGaga · 13/06/2011 21:36

Fanks for the good wishes all. Bit calmer after differs yoga and going for a curry afterwards with a fellow differ. It wasn't actually FMU as I forgot until all the wee had gone. But I think I normally forget. Oh well, Monday will tell. And there are worse things that could happen.

MadameBoo · 13/06/2011 21:50

Hooray for Barbie'sbaybee!

Ariesgirl · 13/06/2011 21:52

Barbie's Baby is going to be called Little Kit. StarryCunt and I have decreed it. A kit is a baby beaver apparently.

ginhag · 13/06/2011 22:17

Grin Aries... I actually think Kit is a lovely name too!

Hooooooooooooofuckingraaaaaaaaaaaay for BB that is bloody marvellous mate. I would nekkid dance but it wouldn't be pleasant... Am :) and Grin Grin Grin tho.

Lady G, sorry for all the stress. Could just be sugar from non FMU (happened to me once, even tho it wasn't the only time I forgot FMU, it was the only time I had sugary wee.) Hope you get all the answers ASAP. And I was 10lb at birth, second baby, easiest birth of the 3 of us (easiest baby too :)) if that is of any comfort x

Scorpette · 13/06/2011 23:06

BB, so bloody chuffed for you, mate Grin Defo get yourself on the next Not List and try to believe it's really real

GG, I was tested one day and had v high glucose levels and they said baby was a whopper - few days later, it was normal again and so was baby's size. Now, that doesn't mean your situation will be the same, but these things can change again and again. It's so farkin' disappointing facing the possibility of not having the sort of birth you've been hoping for and working for (and after the last one being shite, you deserve an easy sneezy one), but, if like you say, you struggled with an 8 lb-er, all this could be for the best (hope that doesn't sound blithe; is totally not meant to)

Alps, congrats. The only ESH now licensed to post in the Deli and Spa!

Today was my first day alone with Mr T, as TYF has gone back to work. It was... okay. It would be nice if he didn't insist on ONLY sleeping on his back on my tum and didn't act like I was murdering him if I try to hold him facing my chest (for winding or putting in sling, which I haven't even tried properly yet as am still in a daze), would let himself be swaddled or didn't try to grab my nip with razor sharp baby-talons (I'm using the baby nail file so often on him that I ought to open my own salon!) then pull said nip into a corkscrew shape with his mouth but just one look at those chubby cheeks and rosebud lips and all is forgiven - even when, earlier, he was BFing and stuck 2 fingers up at me with one hand, punched me in the boob with t'other then did the stinkiest shit in Christendom! Hmm

Anyhoo, he's finally zonked out in his moses basket, so night-night, y'all!

Ocarina · 13/06/2011 23:24

Orchid (and anyone else who uses them) please please please please please don't rely on the Doppler if you're feeling reduced movements. A baby that's not moving much but has a heartbeat could still be in trouble. Reassurance = good, but complacency because of it could = disastrous. I'm NOT trying to say you should be worrying - only you know how much movement you usually get and whether there's a significant difference, but if there is a big difference do go and get it checked out. All is probably well and baby's just having a lazy day but better to be safe than sorry.

I realise I sound like I'm trying to scare you, and I'm really not (and I'm more than capable of doing paranoid about reduced movement but doing nothing about it so really ought to listen to myself more) but I'd hate anything to happen to anyone's baby that could have been prevented. Hope you've now had plenty of kicks and wriggles and are happy that all is well.

Ocarina · 14/06/2011 00:06

(I've also realised I could have sounded immensely patronising, which also wasn't intended.)

AlpinePony · 14/06/2011 08:20

barbie fabulous news!

I've had a miserable night, JB and I appear to have the lurgi and spent the entire night shitting & puking. I was hoping not to feel sick for at least a week and a half. Are you fucking shitting me? Hmm I hope to god this is just a bug and not the start of ms. :( Sorry, I'm feeling very woe is me right now.

LadyGoneGaga · 14/06/2011 08:59

Well done on surviving the first MrT alone day, Score. It gets easier and you'll soon be in a little routine with him before you know it. Try and give the sling a proper go sooner rather than later. I found it a godsend for being able to do stuff with my hands free. But miniG was a very clingy baby who wouldn't be put down so I would have starved to death without my Moby!

That sucks, Alps. If you were both puking AND shitting and it was the both of you then prob not MS yet, surely. Doesn't mean you feel any better though. And at least if it is MS you know to get the drucks sooner rather than later?

MrG and I had a good chat about the whole GD thing last night and feel a bit better about it. Baybee has to come out one way or another. And no point fretting loads before teh ackshul test. And at least it's not like an exam - I can't revise for it or owt.

BarbiesBeaver · 14/06/2011 09:36

I think the pollen count must be very high in my office this morning . I get to tell my parents tonight - keeping the fact I've been off work for a month from them has been a bit tricky to say the least.

Alps I think that really is taking the piss to have a puking bug. Make sure you get thee to the dr's as soon as the first sign of ms rears it's ugly head so you don't fall into the habit of puking. I think that's what happened to me the first time around.

LadyG fingers crossed for Monday.

macaroonmum · 14/06/2011 10:47

Orcs How are things today? hope you and mini-o are ok.

oca it's such a headfuck isn't it? I get lots of frequent stretching-type movement (like he's trying to stand up) but only get proper thumps and kicks at certain times during the day and then, one day he goes mental, and the other he's all quiet and I have to prod him. It's so true what you say though and my midwife always said to me that you should never feel embarrassed about going to get any doubt checked out.

GG sounds like the right attitude - che sera, sera and all that. Glad you are feeling better about it all though.

Alps I'm assuming it's a bug, unless JB has serious empathy towards your pregnancy. Hope it's one of those 24 hr ones... and ms doesn't decide just to hang around afterwards for convenience.

BB ...little kit...

owlbooty · 14/06/2011 12:47

Occers and Maccers I'm having quiet days and active days too. You do feel like such a prat when you end up at the hospital and then the baybee tries to boot the monitoring equipment off. I've had two quieter days on the trot now but I am pretty sure it's because he's turned back to front so I am not getting the feet under the ribs any more, they're buried in my stomach instead. Mmm, reflux. The anterior placenta also does not help as when I did get monitored, he was shifting about all over the place and I just couldn't feel it at all. In summary; damnit.

Alps hope you are feeling less grotty soon, that is extra-horrible that you've both got it. Hope Bear escapes unscathed!

GG glad things are looking a bit brighter. It's shit when you get a spanner thrown in the works like that and you're not expecting it.

BB I bet the wiggly scan has made all the barfing worthwhile :) My office also appears to be rather dusty today

Orchid12 · 14/06/2011 12:56

Occs thank for posting re the doppler and movement, I def. didn't take it as patronising, just helpful concern (would do smiley here but on phone and can't). It's a good reminder to not be complacent. Squidge has been moving more today and a bit more ovenight too so I'm hoping was just a quiet day. I'll keep an eye on it but think it was a blip. You're right though, it's all too easy to not want to bother people when perhaps you should.

GG glad you're feeling better about the GD stuff. You deserve a nice sneezy birth this time but eyes on the prize and all that. Will be keeping my fingers cossed for you my lovely.

Scorps glad you survived yesterday! I can remember being quite scared about having mini O by myself but like GG says, you quicky find a routine (said in the loosest of terms!).

Alps sounds like it's a very ill timed bug. Hope you feel better soon. We had a very disturbed night with mini O last night too. He's picked up a cough and cold and it's making him fractious and stopping him sleeping. He came in bed with me at 11 last night as he was hysterical. Helpfully we didn't find the calpol for a while, which didn't make matters any easier. I of course didn't sleep well after that because I kept cheking he was ok and my hayfever was playing up. Hence I feel a bit worse for wear today too. I'm hoping he's better before I go into labour as he only wants me and I also would prefer to feel a bit less hagged.
.

LadyGoneGaga · 14/06/2011 13:24

Hey, I forgot to mention earlier but I had an "interesting" run of Braxton Hicks last night. Thought, blimey I'm getting quite a few and then happened to notice they were coming every 4 minutes! Went away when I went to bed in any case. Handy for freaking MrG out with though Grin

B'ah to bugs, O. It's the last thing you need now.

LadyGoneGaga · 14/06/2011 16:14

More bad news. First our buyer was playing silly buggers about move date. Had it sorted. Now it's the FUCKING SELLERS!!!! They don't want to move until w/c11th July earliest so they have time to do some work on their house in advance. Well, how very nice for them. I am this close to pulling out. AngryAngryAngry And how nice they only just mentioned it. CUUUUUUNTTTTTTTTSSSSSSSSSSSS AngryAngryAngry

If I Have got GD and they do the standard two week early induction...Oh FFS.

Ocarina · 14/06/2011 17:19

Oh FFS GG, that's ridiculous. Would threatening to pull out get them to change their minds or do you think they'd call your bluff?

Alps that sounds miserable - here's hoping that's it for this time, and you'll sail through ms-free. Hope you, JB and mini-O are all better v soon.

LadyGoneGaga · 14/06/2011 17:54

Have sent a very emotive email to our solicitors, heavy on the emotional blackmail with an underlying nod to pulling out. She's a smart cookie so will let her decide how she wants to play it with them. I am tempted to drive up there tonight and let them see with their eyes just how fucking pregnant I am. And hopefully break my waters all over the floor.

On the plus side I sold some shitty old tiles for £100 on ebay today Grin. So every cloud, eh Hmm
