Will this be the final thread?!? I somehow think not, with more and more people starting on maternity leave, we have time for a good few more methinks!

I have no idea what's going on with the website for me but I can't see any posts at all anywhere! Needless to say I have no idea what's been going on but hoping you're all well and with a bit of luck I will be able to 'see' you all again soon!

sasamaxx · 20/05/2011 17:11

What is all this about wraparound robes???

sasamaxx · 20/05/2011 17:14

OK I've found Jasmine Photo Imaging but alas no bump pics Sad

NurseSunshine · 20/05/2011 17:42

OK can someone please post the link Blush ? My facebook does not acknowledge the existence of Jasmine Photo Imaging :(
Yeah no prob with the fee Kara RE the Entonox, are they bringing more than one bottle?

KaraStarbuckThrace · 20/05/2011 17:43

I don't know, just got one, will ask on Tuesday when I see MW how long it would last.

sasamaxx · 20/05/2011 17:53

Here is the link to Jasmine Photo Imaging but I can't find Millie's photo

PerpetualProvocateur · 20/05/2011 18:09

Quick question ladies, I'll be headed out of town to a wedding in Lincolnshire tomorrow and staying overnight. Hopefully this won't be an issue as I'm only at 36 weeks and everything's looking good, but I've looked up local hospitals just in case. Has anyone heard anything about St Mary's in Melton Mowbray, Grantham and District Hospital in Grantham, or Leicester General Hospital (especially the latter as the first two are just MLUs and I'm assuming if I need to go in suddenly it will be more complicated)?

milliemuffin · 20/05/2011 18:23

Hi, sorry about late reply. I've been far too subtle, sorry for the confusion. My bump pic isn't on that page because that's purely for photos taken by myself but you can find me by looking at the people who like the page and i think there's a link to me somewhere on there aswell. It's not a website so I doubt google would find it. I only started the course in September so I've a long way to go before I'm good enough to do anything professionally. And my name's Debbie :)

HalleLouja · 20/05/2011 18:37

Nice photo millie. Another local lady - are you booked into the hospital in your home town or the one down the A1? I am in the one down the road.

HalleLouja · 20/05/2011 18:38

PS nice taste in athletes - he is yummy and plays for a great team....

NurseSunshine · 20/05/2011 18:44

Lovely photos Millie :)

milliemuffin · 20/05/2011 19:03

Halle we're booked in for a home birth but my other 2 were born at the local one even though they were planned homebirths aswell. Are you in my town then or down the road?

Thankyou Nurse xx

HalleLouja · 20/05/2011 19:38

Am in a village down the A1 near the crooked chimney but am booked into the one down the road. Where I met someone else from this thread.... Good luck with the HB even if I wanted one there is no way I would be allowed one now.

KaraStarbuckThrace · 20/05/2011 19:58

Ow!!!
Just had my dinner and got up to take the plates back into the kitchen, and had this really sharp pain at the top of my pubis! Felt like someone had placed a huge weight on it! Can feel some weird wrigglings down there as well.
Pain has gone now but lasted well over a minute, wonder if is the head engaging!!

Joannezipan · 20/05/2011 20:11

Kara I had a few like that recently...I assumed that's what they were! I also had some delightful ones where it felt like the babbit was trying to claw it's way out down there! Confused

DH came home, gave a cuddle, decreed it was takeaway night, ordered and has now gone to collect it after doing the bit of my game I was stuck on for me. :) Now I remember why I married him! :o I really home I manage to meet some nice mummy friends, I'm not very good at being on my own. I think 2 days should be my limit!

crazychic141187 · 20/05/2011 20:12

nurse that's such a shame about your driving test but im sure you'll be ok on Monday :). Which test centre are you taking it at?

Millie lovely photos! I might be getting some bump pica done next week!

I got a lightweight dressing gown from primark which is actually really nice might not want to spoil it at the hospital!

I made some flapjack and an apple pie today made me feel all mumsy lol!

Ive been having some head fitting pains recently and got a really sharp pain at the top of my bump a bit ago like I'd been stabbed!

Doctor was meant to call me today telling me that he has spoken to the blood specialist but he didn't so I'm still waiting to find out what is wrong with me! I will have had the baby by the time they know at this rate!

I sorted out all the baby stuff yesterday and my mum gave me the things she has bought for me and it's made me feel like it's all happening and that baby will be hear really soon! Arrrggghhhh!!!

To all those who aren't sleeping I can relate coz I'm not sleeping too well either and it doesn't help that dp still isn't sleeping well because of his surgery recovery! He fell asleep watching emmerdale today so he is as tired as I am!

AlmightyCitrus · 20/05/2011 20:53

Sorry about your test nurse. Such a pita when these things happen.

I found your pic millie. It's lovely. I'm an ace facebook stalker detective!

motherofsnortpigs · 20/05/2011 21:55

Nice pic millie I quite fancy getting one done (tastefully) in the nude - I'm sure DH will oblige. He is dithering about buying a new camera. I wish he'd choose. He is in a bad place because he didn't get the job he applied for, despite being a member of the Great Western Society and everything. At least he does have a job and DD2 sent him to work with a painting of our goldfish for his boss. She knows how to charm :)

I'll swap you a piece of my banana cake for the carrot citizen

Nothing much else to report in the snortpig household. I sleep when I can but feel so much better than I did a few weeks ago, if I wasn't 37 weeks pregnant, I'd be scary Grin

KaraStarbuckThrace · 20/05/2011 22:35

Millie - that is a gorgeous photo of you!

Been feeling a few twinges still, hoping it is BH still!

DH is off to his concert tomorrow night with his DB and his mate, it is a once in a life time opportunity so it would be a shame if he missed it!!

neenewps · 21/05/2011 06:48

Found the photo Millie really lovely. My friend offered to do one for me but as I can longer fly from Wed I dont think that will happen now!

What a nuisance nurse I think I would have had one of my hormonal breakdowns! Have you managed to sort a car out for Monday yet?

My mum & her DP are staying for the weekend. She has brought up with her a lovely little cardi that she knitted along with a HUGE stack of clothes she has bought. Very lovely of her.

Also our pram arrived on Thursday so when we got back from NCT we then were up till midnight putting it together! So lovely to see it there and tried it all out, collapsing, putting up, carrycot on, car seat on...... you get my drift :)

36 weeks on Wed. Can't believe it really. Have a chalkboard in the kitchen which I have chalked the days on & it's currently on 32 days remaining - eeeeek!

Does anyone else have rib pain? Mines around the back, sort of underneath my right arm. Woke me up last night :( I thought that the ribs would have done all their moving about by now??

Hope everyone is well & have great weekends.

milliemuffin · 21/05/2011 06:55

I'm not the only one awake already then! Was hoping for a lie-in especially as both my DC are at their nan's. I've had rib pain about a cm under my right breast for about a month. Had it exactly the same with the other two and it's always worse in the evenings.

Can feel more pressure very low down today so pretty sure baby has moved. I felt surprisingly well last night but that could be cos the DCs weren't here. 34+2 so still about 4 weeks to go.

Have a nice day all and Thankyou for the lovely photo comments xx

motherofsnortpigs · 21/05/2011 07:44

Morning! I think pain under right ribs is squished liver - nice.

Hi millie gorgeous photo, I got my DH to take some the other night and I look dreadful, having a black backdrop looks really nice though, as does looking down. On all of mine I'm sort of nervously smiling at the camera worrying about how bingo-wing-esque my arms look :)
Sounds like everyone's bodies are getting ready!
I had a mw appt the other day and head barely engaged at all, only 4/5 which I think is negligible, had a lovely day with my mum yesterday and she treated me to a hair cut and lunch so aside from the rock hard skin on my feet (ewww) I'm feeling as preened as is possible at this point.
In terms of symptoms my feet are looking pretty minging now at the end of a day walking around and my ankles seem to have merged into my feet / legs haha.
I have been getting niggly cramps too although nothing significant. I have also been suffering from bad acid indigestion which seems slightly better today so I'm wondering if the active baby was wriggling downwards yesterday?! Who knows.
Have started on the raspberry leaf - bit late in the day - but worth a try.
Does anyone with cats - new mums or existing have any tips on getting them used to a baby, I love my furry babies to bits and am hoping everyone is going to get along well with the new addition! We have feliway plug-ins and I've tried playing youtube clips of babies crying (hehe) and they seem ok...just hoping they don't start marking everywhere - they've both been done but the male cat did pee everywhere when my husband first moved in a few years back.
Happy Saturday ladies :) x

millie, I liked your photo page (initials CG) but my facebook stalk skills are not as strong as I thought(!) as I can't see who else likes the page, or any link to your profile with the bump pic on.

I'm having a weekend of bad eating as we had a beast of a chinese takeaway last night (set banquet for 2 which could have generously fed 4) we had 2 attempts at it yesterday 1 for tea, and then when we got peckish around 9pm and we still have enough for a very decent sized lunch today. Then husband is taking me out to a new caribbean restaurant as a sort of last meal together before the baby is born. Think I will have to have a salad on sunday to undo the damage.

no baby news to report here, apart from the normal kicks and wiggles I'm not experiencing anything thst leads me to believe the baby will arrive before the full 4 weeks left now
