Anybody else out there?????
Very surprised, had only SWI once and I thought we had missed the window of opportunity. It seems not, BFP yesterday, royal wedding treat. EDD about 2nd Jan I think.

#2 for me, keeping fingers tightly crossed as had a bumpy ride before conceiving DS. Very excited and slightly terrified. :)

Hello hello
welcome newbies and congrats

Last time I told my boss at 11/40 only because I couldnt keep my mouth shut until the scan the folowing week. This time I hope to get as far as the scan. As im the sole employee at my work I feel I need to give as much notice as possible. This also makes me feel like I cant take the whole 9months mat leave, only took 4months last time.

Definatly feeling pregnant these last few days. Nausea kicking in big style.

Found out today that 2 three bedroom houses in the village I grew up in are going up for sale in the next month! Very exciting! Just need to figure out how the hell im going to be able to sell this flat first.....

Nanny01 · 11/05/2011 13:25

Hi
I have booked in today with my Midwife I won't actually see her till 16 weeks! I actually can't believe it and I am appalled I have received less care with each pregnancy even with my High BMI. Yes the fat word has been mentioned already. Now just have to convince hubby to let me see an independent midwife

supadupapupascupa · 11/05/2011 15:24

OMG!!!

Just POAS and got a BFP WOOPWOOP

Explains the moods over our holiday (just got back)

I'm sat here with my toddler not knowing what the hell to do with myself! Have just rung DH and we're sooooo happy. Have been trying for 4 months and already have a super duper 21month DS.

So i've have folic acid, whipped off my nicotine patch and packed away the IBS tablets sad

Guess i'd best get on with the hoovering then!

If you know me, PLEASE keep schtum. I don't think anyone does, but just incase.

If a thread already exists (I can't find one), please link me and i'll update on there.

OMG!!!!
grin

supadupapupascupa · 11/05/2011 15:25

copied previous post from another thread....please ignore the link me bit Blush

milkyway07 · 11/05/2011 15:37

Hi all! just thought I would give an update here! Feeling VERY bloated and hungry and constipated Blush. Not much tiredness yet. Also have a achey stomach that comes and goes. Also very slight pangs of nausea, but nothing else. It's hard not to mistake these symptoms for the start of my period, even though I am now 1 week and 1 day overdue!

How many of you are feeling the nausea yet? I am 5 weeks along and nothing so far.

ghosteditor · 11/05/2011 16:39

supadupa that's awesome news, congrats. Rest assured that I do not know you! I've been trying for four months too but just got my BFP last Friday - feels like forever ago already, but here I am, still only 4 weeks and 2 days (according to my shiny new app) Grin

milkyway I had a bout of nausea for three days but I'm fine now - DH says it's psychosomatic after the BFP. Thanks for the support, dear... of course it could be the enormous amount of eating I'm doing that's keeping the nausea at bay.

SlightlyScrambled · 11/05/2011 18:08

I retested today and sure enough, the line was definite this time. So rang my MW and she's booked me in for a scan at week 7, just for a look. She said she'll then book me in for all the proper blood checks, etc. a few weeks later.

I think it's because of there being no periods to go by so this scan will confirm that I'm not further along. And then I think it's also because I'm living in a small town and she's never too busy!

Has anybody else ever had a scan so early, and if so, was there anything to see?

I've no symptoms either, other than sore breasts so far. Last time round, I got morning sickness at 5weeks and 5days, so I've still 3 days left (I'm hoping!)

Fubble · 11/05/2011 18:25

So tiredness has kicked in good and proper now....felt totally exhausted the last two days and nauseous. Have told best friends and dh's husband....starting to feel more real but still feeling quite scared of what lies ahead.

DH asking at dinner tonight did I remember feeling this tired last time but I'm really not sure.

Think I may write more stuff down this time, just so I have some record when baby brain fully kicks in!

Hope you're all coping and doing ok.

SlightlyScrambled · 11/05/2011 18:56

Fubble I was thinking of doing the same. Wish I had written more down the last time. I thought at the time that I'd never forget it, but I have!

Fubble · 11/05/2011 19:42

Also just realised I wrote dh's husband rather than dh's family!!

Stupid iPad corrective text - it's not baby brain yet......I hope :(

shonnomanom · 11/05/2011 20:18

nanny thats terrible having to wait to 16weeks to see a mw!

I put on my swim costume today for the first time in a while, then took it straight back off again. By god I'v got a bump already, that aint all just cake!! So I went to Dunnes Stores on an express shopping trip and they have fab costumes with built in boob pads for extra support (very much needed right now, thanks 002).

Congrats supadupa!

A pregnancy diary would be great idea ladies.
I think I'm on par with most symptoms compared to my 1st pregnancy. Most due date calendars say im 6 weeks (one said I was due jan 13 even though 4 others have said jan 1st Hmm ) and we were getting suspicious at 6wks last time due to the sore boobs, in reflection we thought the tiredness was due to me working 2 jobs and having just moved house, that might of been a small factor Smile

Sho x

Browncoats · 11/05/2011 21:48

Well I'm now starting to panic as I don't seem to have any pregnancy symptoms today. I haven't really felt sick at all and I have much more energy. I'm never happy, I was never done moaning about the sickness and tiredness and now I want them back Grin

Hi everyone

I am still not having a huge amount of symptoms either, but never did with dd. I was very lucky and had no morning sickness, but I agree with others really wish that I'd kept a pregnancy diary of last time to compare - think it would help my worries.

I am looking for some help! I am a bridesmaid for my sister in 6 weeks and need to find a very big strapless bra! Got measured last week and am 30/32J. Does anyone know of somewhere that makes strapless bras this big? Tried bravissimo and no luck. Anyone got any ideas? I am worried I'll be even bigger by then, all being well!

Mama5isalive · 12/05/2011 07:40

hi all-sorry for all who are feeling sick, and excited for us all who can feel our clothes getting tight already!
mercyme - u may have to tuck the straps in maybe the makers thing if they r that big they should have support from the straps.
Congrats - supad - 4 months of trying the result well done!

  • im feeling really tired when i got in from work,i headed straight upstairs for the kids and my dh to pamper me and was served my dinner in bed! lazy abit but it felt so good, i can really get use to this! comparing how i felt at this stage is a hard one i kept a diary for my ist,and my 3rd and no mention of anything at this stage so i guess im on par with them! i also calculated my edd and its telling me 31/12/11 ??Confused
GiraffeAHolic · 12/05/2011 07:40

Morning girls.

Nausea has definitely set in here, but no actual vomiting still so hoping I'll get through unscathed. I'm just so damn tired all the time, when I was carrying Dd I was working full time and long hours and I still don't remember being this tired.

There is a pampers pregnancy diary in the bounty notes pack for those planning to record this time, I planned to last time and never did. I do plan to take bump pics this time though.

I'm going swimming this afternoon, be interesting to see if I look bigger in a swimming cossie. Fortunately I've told my Aunty who we go swimming with as she lives down the road so can be called on if I need anything and I trust her to keep quiet :)

Mama5isalive · 12/05/2011 07:47

morning -anyone who has a iphone or a smart phone there are some lovely free apps to track this journey, i go through my notes all the time from my last one its just so strange, the tired factor is new but i guess never had a active 16m ds and a very busy job!!!!!
oh boy time to get in the bath to start my day- bye for now!
PS- Thank God for Maxi dresses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Grin

ghosteditor · 12/05/2011 09:40

mama5 you're right, I'm using the sprout app on recommendation from MNers and it's lots of fun! Though it doesn't really have space for symptom spotting.

giraffe I'm the same - nausea is creeping back on again, and the smells... ug, smells. Last night I was all creeped out by the smell of a banana milkshake DH was drinking (not good with milkshake at the best of times) and I think his coffee habit may be a problem for me too. Very oddly, I have this permanent taste of soap in my mouth which is probably what's making me feel a bit sick!

I'm all about the jersey dresses at the mo' and was horrified to discover this morning that I can't fit into any of my trousers (at least not well enough to sit down at work). Admittedly they were getting a bit tight after the 10lbs I've put on in the last year, but I must be really bloated as they're awful over my stomach. Yuck. Think some shopping may be in order this weekend, but I don't want to buy too much.

fifitrixabelle78 · 12/05/2011 10:31

Hey ladies! I'm with wombat on the 24/7 nausea. No actual vomiting yet and please God won't come to that. nothing seems to appeal and even books smell too musty to read. Aaaagh! Heading out to Mothercare to see about accupressure wrist bands. I'll let you know if they work.

GiraffeAHolic · 12/05/2011 11:08

Fifi I wore travel sickness bands for the whole 49 weeks last time and although they didn't cure the nausea, they definitely took the edge off. Also have a look at PreggyPops, some women seem to swear by them.

GiraffeAHolic · 12/05/2011 11:09

Or the whole 40 weeks even Grin

ghosteditor · 12/05/2011 12:29

[picturing giraffe carrying an enormous 49 week infant who's practically talking already]

shonnomanom · 12/05/2011 18:49

Oft! I am a walking zombie with nausea!!
Started at work at 7am today and im done in completely. WOuld love to get an early night but my 10pm bedtimes all week have prevented me from being orgainsed for this weekends Brownie camp. My boss has also just asked if I can come in at 0630 instead of 0700 tommorrow morning as well [aarrgghhh]

As well as the nausea iv been a bit dizzy today, but that might be the tiredness.

mercy I was going to suggest Bravissamo, really surprised they dont do it. Maybe something with a clear strap would work? good luck

oh giraffe you made me gasp there with the 49weeks!!

Dp has cooked dinner so best be off x

Buttertart · 12/05/2011 19:35

Still Envy of all of you with nausea. Only get occasional waves of it. But bloated? Got that hands down. I'm also v hungry, and am totally indulging myself Blush. As with DS, I had just got down to a weight I felt v comfortable with when I got my BFP, and a few weeks later, poof! I'm gigantic. But all for a good cause Grin.

mercy, have you checked out figleaves? I've heard good things about them from friends.

That sprout app sounds great, but I'm on Android. Anyone know any similarly good apps?

MabliD · 12/05/2011 20:13

I've told my boss, supervisor and one of the girls on my floor already, but that's because I work full time in retail on the delivery shifts, so am usually expected to hoist 15plus kilo boxes about all day. If something were to go wrong, I wouldn't like to think that it was my fault because I should have stopped carrying those sort of weights, and if I just refused to do it without a reason I'd soon be out the door!
