Anybody else out there?????
Very surprised, had only SWI once and I thought we had missed the window of opportunity. It seems not, BFP yesterday, royal wedding treat. EDD about 2nd Jan I think.

#2 for me, keeping fingers tightly crossed as had a bumpy ride before conceiving DS. Very excited and slightly terrified. :)

I've been having strange dreams and waking early. I'm an early riser anyway but it's about an hour early. I've been in bed by 9 most nights though. There now :)

I thought it was the light as it's about dawn but maybe it's hormonal then.

My sleep is all over the place, i keep waking early, and if i'm woken in the night it takes me about 2 hours to get back to sleep. The slightest thing wakes me.

Gah

I am hoping that tonight I will sleep as I have a house to myself.

shonnomanom · 10/06/2011 21:58

parsley I was on WW Pro-points pre this pregnancy and WW Points when I conceived DD. Both times I was told to stop the diet as the (pro)points are catered to you and not to you plus baby. IYKWIM
Also, its be proven that weight loss can help fertility. It was one of the reason why I decided on going to back to WW this year.

Im currently watching The Back Up Plan. Its about Jennifer Lopez meeting the love her live the same day she falls pregnant with AI. Its a pretty standard JLO film but its saved by McGarret from Hawai 5-0! Some pretty funny pregnancy incidents in it. You first timmers should definatly watch it . Infact everyone, its on sky movies this week, watch it. If anything it will make you laugh. Grin

ParsleyLion1 · 11/06/2011 08:50

Thanks shonnomanom. I'll definately check with the MW

Mama5isalive · 11/06/2011 10:32

Hi all - sorry to hear about the weight issues - isn't it awful that with all the other issues we have to keep and eye on in pregnancy weight makes it just so much harder! i have decided to go for smaller portions and to avoid eating after 7pm! been enjoying some chedder cheese and jamaican ginger cake its lovely! although everyone thinks its disgusting!!!!!!!Grin
went Asda last nite and was actually came across there maternity range which had some nice stuff so picked up a few bits!also a nice floral dress for me to wear for my friends wedding in a few weeks time so went up to ermm size 18 so it can cater for my expanding belly! need to move before this baby comes so something else to deal with - great!

Curlygirl72 · 11/06/2011 10:53

Hi ladies, been off the post for a week or so and tons has happened with everyone. I also think it's lovely that we're remembering the lost babies on the list, really sweet of everyone.
I'm also really struggling to get more than a few hours sleep each night, am totally knackered but really restless at night and also wake up around 5am!!
Am relieved that all my hen nights are now over, and I'm going to go to ground for the next 2 weeks before my wedding... other than work of course. Wish I could tell my manager so she'd give me a bit of a slack, but in week 9 and still no word on MW appts or scan or anything - really peed off with how long it takes and am feeling a bit neglected. So jealous of everyone who's had scans and stuff already, I can't wait to hear the heartbeat and all of that - plus it's my first pg so I'd just like reassurance on a few things and to feel like I'm being looked after.
But I'm feeling really lucky as I don't look any different and don't feel too different either, should still be able to fit into my wedding dress!
Will def try and watch that J-Lo film - OH is out tonight so I have the remote to myself, hurrah!!

Spagbolagain · 11/06/2011 19:22

I just weighed myself this morning, and it seems I haven't actually put much on, maybe 2lbs. So I really can't explain what my massive sticking-out stomach is all about, unless it's just air :o

Went to see Take That last night, they were fantastic, had a fab time. Unfortunately DS was up very early, so am now completely exhausted. Early night for me I think.

Mmm pampering, that sounds good. My skin is horrible, really dry, hormonal and actually quite sore. I wonder if a nice facial would sort me out....

shonnomanom · 11/06/2011 19:35

Took a nap this afternoon. Totally unlike me. And is happening more and more.
After I woke up I took my tightSad jeans off to put on my slack comfy joggers only to find that their no longer slack. Infact I actually had to take them off again as there were too tight. Its only been a few weeks since I had them on.
Fortunatly My scales broke so didnt replace them. I really dont want to know what wait I am....

blueeyedmonster · 11/06/2011 21:01

I weigh myself almost every day, habit from losing weight. I have lost 3lb since I found out I was pregnant and not put any back on. My jeans don't button up comfortably though and my tops are a little tighter so my tummy is expanding!

I am hoping to put on less than I did when pregnant with ds (3st) as I am more aware of what I am putting in my mouth this time.

An afternoon nap sounds like bliss to me. I am in bed by 9.30pm latest atm so I get enough sleep. If not I am grouchy which I hate being especially with ds around.

Mummaroo · 11/06/2011 21:10

Scan yesterday.... went really well :o saw the heartbeat [looked strong to me, but who knows??] She gave us 2 photo's of the little bean and I am 7 weeks today, so further behind than I thought but still due Jan [28th to be precise!!] Was a massive relief, I burst into tears, didn't realise how prepared I'd made myself for her telling me bad news until she showed me the screen and I couldn't quite believe it!! DH looked so happy and relieved I could see the stress leaving his face, bless him. Also had a consultant appt in the morning about my back and that was really positive too, she said I could go back to work with lighter duties, hopefully work will take that into consideration, I don't plan to tell them until 12 weeks as I've been off so long, feel very nervous about it all and although going to hate leaving DS know that I have to go back and it will probably be good for me Confused

Why is everything always so complicated? Everyone seems to have such contradictions and dilemmas, however, we are all carrying such precious little miracles and no matter how crap it makes us feel, we are incredibly lucky and it makes everything else seem so inconsequential :) xXx take care all xXx

Bellakins · 11/06/2011 21:20

Congrats on the scan Mummaroo. I had a scan when I was 7 wk 4 days and it too brought me so much relief. I'm 9 weeks 2 days now so know I'm not out of the woods yet but am now a lot less stressed out about the pregnancy, just counting down the days till the 12 week scan!

Strange question, but is anyone's boobs different sizes now?! I'm convinced my left boob is a lot bigger than the right one, hope it catches up!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Curlygirl72 · 11/06/2011 21:32

I think everyones boobs are supposedly a bit uneven, so maybe if they've got a bit bigger it's just more noticeable!
My boobs haven't grown yet, thank god as I'm a 32G already. Will try to hang on to my underwired bras for as long as possible...

Mummaroo · 11/06/2011 22:54

Thanks Bellakins I must admit I do feel so much more relaxed about it now, hadn't allowed myself to get excited or feel much about it really, but seeing that little heartbeat made me realise how happy I am :) like you said still not out of the woods but it has certainly helped relieve the anxiety.

Just having a look (!) I think my left boob is bigger than my right, but not massively, like Curlygirl says, everyone's are, but I'm sure it's not as bad as you think Bellakins!! I found some crop top bra things in Primark, a 2 pack for £4, feel they will do me until I absolutely have to invest in proper ones as for the most part my normal ones are ok, but these are nice for in the house!!

shonnomanom · 11/06/2011 23:55

Are boobs not like feet and ears? One is always slightly bigger than the other.

Dp is at a house warming/birthday party tonight. We decided it was easier that I wasnt there as it would be very obvious in that crowd that I wasnt drinking.
Anyway, 2 of our friends, who got married last christmas and have been trying to concieve since then, announced at the party that their pregnant and due Dec28th. They had their scan yesterday so you can imagine how excited everyone is for them.
Dp phoned me almost immediately to tell me. He is soo excited that one of his closest friends is having a baby at the same time as us.
Hopefully he wont get too drunk and slip up tonight!

mummaroo congrats on your scan and going to back to work.
Im 11 weeks tommorrow and have my scan 1 week on Monday. I cant wait to see this little wriggly bean. Even though Im feeling flutters I am still terrified that its all in my head.

fifi you asked last week if I was planning on going to the Southern. Im far enough east to be able to go to Forth Valley Royal Hospital. Stirling Royal is in the process of closing and ForthValley is the fancy new replacement. Super excited to see it!! Grin

fifitrixabelle78 · 12/06/2011 00:57

Hi sho - not seen the new site at Larbert either- it's supposed to be v nice. Was esp sorry to hear about browncoats as it sounded like we'd be at SGH at the same time.

Just winding down from my brother's wedding today. Was fab but spent most if the day holding my tummy in as no one knows yet- 2 reasons: firstly cus scan and booking not till 23rd June and second cus I really didn't want to upstage his big day. Going to be really odd when we actually start telling family!

Anyway (yawns) - night ladies. Sleep well.

Very exciting news about the scan Mummaroo! I'm still waiting for my 12 week one - only two weeks to go now. It's going so slowly.

blueeyedmonster and sleepywombat, how did you get the reflux diagnosed in the end? From my parents descriptions, think I may have had that as a baby. Have always had problems with it, but have only recently been put on omeprazole permanently. It's made a massive difference to my life. I'm hoping baby avoids it.

I was doing well not telling people, but two women caught me throwing up in the bathrooms at work so I came clean. They're both people I wanted to tell and I know they'll keep it quiet. One is 16 weeks pregnant so slightly ahead of me. It's nice to compare stories. I've told our families and a couple of close friends. My best friend from my home town just had her 20 week scan so when she phoned to tell me, I was really excited and shared our news too.

Mum2be79 · 12/06/2011 09:22

My boobs are very pointy. My nipples look bigger but not darker. My belly is changing shape but I can still fit easily into my clothes.
My nausea was pretty bad yesterday - not good when trying to write reports. All I could eat was pickled onion monster munch crisps, little stars yoghurts and rich tea biscuits. I had a cheese toastie at lunchtime and it tasted incredibly salty, so I think I may be staying off the cheese as well as the meat.
I'm starting to feel a little more relaxed now that I'm 10 weeks + 2. I know I still have a few more weeks to go until I'm out the 'danger' period but every day is a milestone.
I keep expecting to feel a little bump or ball of mass low in my tummy but I can't (apparently my womb is the size of a grapefruit now) is that normal? It is my first and some people say that a bump will generally appear later than those who are on their 2nd plus.

shonnomanom · 12/06/2011 09:52

moobee is your doctor still allowing you to be on Omeprazole during the pregnancy? I was on Omeprazole before going on to the stronger Pantoprazole. When I started both I was told that if I concieved whilst taken them I had to stop imediately. I developed Helicobacter(severe heartburn) after having Dd.

Spagbolagain · 12/06/2011 09:57

I think with my first I started to show at around 15 weeks. But I never really had the sensation of feeling a ball or anything (too much flab maybe) :o
The midwife can obviously feel the uterus as they know what to look for, but for me it was all quite gradual. I got a bulge at the front, but really just looked fatter for I bit (but wore obvious maternity clothes to clear that one up!). Then the bulge started getting more rounded, stuck out more and started to creep further up. And that's when you start to look properly PG with an actual proper bump. I'm sure everyone is different and depends on your shape to start with, but for me this was about 18 or so weeks (I think)

With this one, I seem to be losing my waist and getting a bit of a tum, but I think its because having had one, your abs are much weaker and any changes show earlier. I also had separated muscles with my first, so I suspect mine are particularly rubbish!

Nanny01 · 12/06/2011 10:24

I have noticed that my lower stomach is harder now but no one but me notices as I have padding. I hope to be able to not tell for a while. If it was just friends I would tell all now but the mother in law and my parents are so negative. We have so much going on this year and they would say why are we doing this to them after they have helped us but to be truthful it wasn't planned and probably happened because the stress and anxiety. We don't know why birth control failed but it did again and we aren't going to make a blessing into a curse; even to indulge our parents. So now skulking around like naughty teenagers till we can summon up the courage to tell them.

I am also having another private scan on Wednesday just to reassure me as even though it's our 5th we are still really anxious.
