Anybody else out there?????
Very surprised, had only SWI once and I thought we had missed the window of opportunity. It seems not, BFP yesterday, royal wedding treat. EDD about 2nd Jan I think.

#2 for me, keeping fingers tightly crossed as had a bumpy ride before conceiving DS. Very excited and slightly terrified. :)

Hello Newbies! And Congrats!

parsley is it your CHI number they are after? If it is, you can get this from your gp surgery. Its like a I.D. code, its on everything to do with you at the hospital and gp. Give your GP a call if your not sure.

curly make sure your drinking loads of water, I find If I dont drink enough the dizzy spells get worse, that and make sure your having lots of regular food, even if its just a biscuit. Helps keep the dizzys at bay.

What a day.
We (mum, niece,2yo, DD,3yo, and myself) done the 5K Race for Life this morning. The girls were great, a real inspiration. Im shattered!
Also today we found out that my friends 13yo niece and her friend went missing last night. They were supposed to be home by 10pm and are always punctual and their mobile is also switched off. Its such a worry. Because they werent reposrted missing until 1am (parents were giving them time to be late as were supposed to be at a friends in the next town) the police wont launch a full scale search until tonight. Sad

Curlygirl72 · 05/06/2011 17:59

Blimey shonno that's horrendous, what a day indeed. My thoughts are with your family, and really wishing for the girls' safe return. Do keep us updated won't you?
And thanks for the tip about drinking water, I am really bad at that and need to get into better habits... am eating lots of sweets though!
Take care.

blueeyedmonster · 05/06/2011 19:29

Hi and congrats to the newbies!

I find if I don't drink enough I am getting a headache. I'm not usually too good about getting enough either.

Omg sho I hope she is found safe and well very very soon. That's awful you must all be worried out of your minds.

I have just had to order some maternity trousers. My jeans are all getting too tight and I need the button open because they are uncomfortable!

Bellakins · 05/06/2011 19:29

shonno that's awful. Fingers crossed everything is ok.

Big welcome to the newbies!

I've been feeling so tired today, the first day I could have actually done with a nap. Unfortunately we had flat viewings and had to pull myself together! I now have huuuge respect for anyone going through pregnancy when they already have little ones. Must be doubly exhausting.

Deesus · 05/06/2011 19:47

Hello and congrats to the all the newbies!

Haven't been on here for a week as went away for a week's holiday with DH's family. I'm so glad I'm home. I've cried more and been more stressed in the past week than I have when I've been at work. Don't get me wrong they're not bad people but they can be so overbearing and insensitive....and with me in a 'teary' phase, well, it wasn't the best combination. Sad

Just feel like I've wasted a week's holiday that I could've tagged on to my maternity leave. I've never wanted a Wine more...

shonnomanom · 05/06/2011 20:39

blueeyes I'm the same just now. I find if I dont drink lots then the dizzyness gets worse and the headaches are nasty. Keep your fluid levels up.

deesus there is nothing better than your own couch isnt there. Holidays are great but as you have experince they are sometimes totally not worth the hassle. Hope you start to feel better soon x

Thank you all for your kind words regarding the missing girls.

Surprisingly and totally uncharacteristically both girls arrived home tonight with out a clue that search parties were out looking for them.

Apparently the girls(both age 13y) heard of an older friend having a house party and decided to join it. We're not too sure of the rest of the details yet. But you can bet that their both going to be grounded for a very long time!!

Kinda of makes you glad of the toddler stage . Teenagers are whole different ball game!

Browncoats · 05/06/2011 20:55

Hello to the newbies!!!! Welcome to you all and I hope everyones weekend has been a good one Smile

shonnomanom I just heard about your friends neice on the radio tonight as I was on my way home! Are they the ones from Kilsyth? That's terrible. Their poor parents must be out of their minds with worry. I'll be keeping them in my thoughts and I hope they find them soon Sad

I'm absolutely knackered today. Really tired. I'm finding I'm really short tempered too, is anyone else finding that? I think with me it's possibly worry as my last pregnancy was a nightmare and then they found that I've been bleeding slightly during this one too. I haven't had any blood (new or old) when I've been to the toilet - which has been happening very regularly to check! So I'm taking that as a good sign Smile

I've got another scan this Wednesday with the Fetal Medicine Unit at the hospital so roll on Wednesday so I can hopefully put my mind at rest!

Hope everyone else isn't as grumpy as me tonight!

Browncoats · 05/06/2011 20:56

x-posted there!

Thank god they're home safe and sound, although I REALLY wouldn't want to be intheir shoes tonight!

Mummaroo · 05/06/2011 21:00

Welcome to all the newbies!! Not been on since last week, had HCG scan, they went up, maybe not as much as they would like, but still, up is better than down, so keeping fingers firmly crossed!! Have another scan on Friday so will hopefully know exactly what is going on then, have sore boobs, nausea and dizzyness agogo so they're all positive signs :)

Oh my goodness Sho, how awful, I can't even begin to imagine how your friend and the other girl's (presumably a girl?) parents must be feeling and I'm sure everyone who knows them must be out of their minds, my heart goes out to you all, I hope they are found safe and sound very soon xXx

Mummaroo · 05/06/2011 21:03

X posted as it took me so long to catch up!!

That's great news Sho, I know they are in big trouble but what a joy to have them back safely!!

Mummaroo · 05/06/2011 21:17

Sorry to post again, but just wondered if anyone out there is suffering with excruciating hayfever?? With DS it got loads better, I didn't need to take anything, but this time, my eyes feel full of sand, my throat is constantly itching/sore and my nose is always running, can't remember the last time it was so bad!! Got nasal spray from GP but that appears to be all I can take :(

Browncoats · 05/06/2011 21:18

Oh good Mummaroo, I'm so glad they're going up! Also the fact that you're getting all the other pregnancy symptoms is great. I'll bet you'll not be moaning about feeling sick Grin

Some of us are going to have very well scanned babies Smile

Browncoats · 05/06/2011 21:20

Yes Mummaroo I've had that during my pregnancy with DS! It's a nightmare isn't it!!! Apparantly it can just 'come on' during pregnancy, but the good news is that I haven't had hayfever at all since I gave birth to him 2.5 years now so FX it's the same for you too. Yay for pregnancy niggles Hmm

Spagbolagain · 05/06/2011 21:25

Hi all, mumaroo I don't know if it's hay fever, but I have had a runny nose for the last 2 weeks!

Slightly embarrassing, but I also have a wart on my finger. Oddly, I had the exact same one when PG with DS, was a bugger to treat but went eventually. Now it's back! how weird, anybody heard of PG-related wartiness before? :)

Am sitting here munching a packet of thorntons ginger and dark choc cookies. Have told DH I must have Ginger, for medicinal reasons, and the lashings of choccy are a bonus!

Evening Ladies

Has anybody got a holiday booked this summer or been away whilst pg?

Got holiday booked for 2 weeks in Tenerife and starting to worry about how I'll get on? I'll be around 14 weeks so probably not as bad as being more heavily pg.

I'm not feeling nausea yet but having quite a few little twinges in belly and feel bloated already.

Totally feel like I've forgotten everything since pg with DS1, do I have to ring docs to arrange appointment for booking in appointment? Blush

blueeyedmonster · 05/06/2011 22:03

I'm glad they appreared safe and sound sho

Jillowan · 05/06/2011 22:08

Thanks everyone for the welcome! And congrats all round too :-)

Curly yes it's very much my first, so all very new and strange and amazingly exciting (but trying not to get too excited yet). If it was your hen do then presume you're getting married soon? If so double congratulations are in order!

Still waiting to hear about booking in appts and scans too - my Dr was only in last Friday and emailed me to say he'd contacted the hospital and they'd be in touch soon. Does anyone know how long it normally takes?

Mama5isalive · 05/06/2011 22:08

Browncoats yes that was the girls. Just glad their both safe. Good luck on Wednesday.

mummaroo glad your levels are going up. Sorry about the heyfever, iv never had it but dd and dp both get it

wombat hope you had a great birthday regardless of your dh and congrats on the scan

mama how sweet of your dh to book you a weekend away. Shame you have to reschedule though.

Got my 2yo niece overnight tonight, DN and DD are chalk and cheese, Dd is very laid back and usually quiet whereas Dn doesnt know how to just sit down and play. Should be fun with my hormonal short fuss just now Hmm

Hope everyone is well x

shonnomanom · 06/06/2011 09:20

heyfever spagbol I ust read in one of the pregnancy threads that the chemists wont give Piriton to pregnant women as there is no evidence to say that its completely safe. BUT they will give you it if your GP has prescribeds it. Also Acupuncture is supposed to work...

ghosteditor · 06/06/2011 11:17

gosh it was all go this weekend! Hope everyone came through ok.

I have my booking in appointment on Friday morning! Now, if I can only get through the rest of the week without falling asleep on my desk and eating everything in sight in an attempt to keep the nausea away...

d0gFace · 06/06/2011 12:53

hello!

Is anyone else having bra issues?Confused

Normally a 38D but a couple of weeks ago I had to buy a couple of 40 dd and now nothing fits. Currently wearing one of those tightish sleeping vest things as my biggest bra leaves painfull marks.

GiraffeAHolic · 06/06/2011 13:31

Hi all,

I'm with everyone on the poxy hayfever, I didn't suffer at all when I was carrying Dd and hoped I would escape again this time but no such luck!

I'm 10 weeks today, still vomiting but not too bad.

Was mine and Dh's first wedding anniversary yesterday :) we took Dd to an animal adventure park and had a meal together last night, really knocked me out though.

I have to go dress shopping this weekend for my dads wedding next weekend. I will be almost 12 weeks but don't want everyone there knowing so have to find a beautiful but camouflaging dress to hide the ever expanding bump. Chances are he won't see this baby so it's all a bit delicate anyway :(

Does anyone suffer from IBS and if so what can I do during pregnancy, normally rely on Buscopan but thats a no-go and had a few nasty flare ups with contraction like pain?
