Anybody else out there?????
Very surprised, had only SWI once and I thought we had missed the window of opportunity. It seems not, BFP yesterday, royal wedding treat. EDD about 2nd Jan I think.

#2 for me, keeping fingers tightly crossed as had a bumpy ride before conceiving DS. Very excited and slightly terrified. :)

So sorry pixie

tummytickler · 29/05/2011 18:07

So sorry to hear your news Pixie .

Katy yes, Drusillas. It was sooooo busy, just stupidly busy, had to queue for an hour and a half to get in. Dc's ran round the animals at the speed of light to get to the play park as quickly as possible.
But Justin was great, but not dressed up as Mr Tumble, but dc didn't seem to mind. We did not stop to speak to him after his show as there was another queue of at least an hour - but we were in the front row for the show. Loved singing the 'Hello' song!

Got home to cramps and spotting though, so I have cancelled my night out tonight (dh has gone alone as it is a charity fundraiser type night) and the dc's are staying at my parents.

Great news for those with positive scans! Congrats!

MercyMe · 29/05/2011 21:09

Hi everyone

It has been a while since i've been on so catching up!

Congrats to katy - twins that is brilliant!

Welcome everyone else to the thread!

I had my booking appointment with midwife on Wednesday, should be getting my date for scan through soon. My dd was born with a rare medical condition which meant she spent the first months of her life in hospital having different operations. The midwives have assured me that this shouldn't happen again, but I am very worried. Hopefully will get scanned reguarly throughout pregnancy just to be sure, would prefer to know as much as i can -the shock of her being so ill was awful when she came.

Are you all managing to keep the news to yourself? I have told my family and best friend etc - dh was adamant that we keep it to ourselves but he phoned from pub on firday night asking if he could tell the news to people, promised to only tell a couple of people. Its so hard keeping this good news to yourself.

shonnomanom · 29/05/2011 23:02

That sounds like a crazy yet fun day out Tummytickler, hope your feeling better fx

Katy congrats on a good scan

mercy hope everything goes healthily this time round for you.
We told our families last weekend and our closest friends and my boss also knows. Hopefully will get to the scan(June) before we need to tell anyone else.

My dd is 3 tommorrow! I cant believe how quick its came around, where does the tme go?

Hope everyone is well
Sho x

DizzyKipper · 30/05/2011 06:55

Congrats on a good scan and twins katy. And weather has been pretty grim round my way.

Sounds like you had a good day tummytickler.

And mercy I'm sorry you must be going through so much stress right now, hopefully you can have all those scans to reassure you.
I was a bit naughty and told quite a few people straight away (immediate family, some of my close friends, and bosses at work). Regret this now as I'm so early on and worried about whether something bad might happen, especially since my dad passed away a few months ago - I would feel very guilty at having to give more bad news to my family, particularly my old brother who was the hardest hit by it and also seems to be the most excited about this. Lesson learned for next time though, will definitely wait until 12 weeks before telling anyone.

And happy birthday for your DD today shonnomanom, I hope you both have a great day Grin

Browncoats · 30/05/2011 08:46

LaBobkin · 30/05/2011 16:05

Hi all, just catching up, wow this thread is getting big!

Katy - wow- twins. I keep threatening DH with them due to my enormous tum but don't know how I'd react if there really were two of them.

Pixie - so sorry to hear your news. Thinking of you.

Am off to try to work out how to get a 'baby on board' badge for the tube / priority train card for First Capital Connect now. Have permanent nausea on trains and can do without standing up.

Thinking of you Pixie. Xx

Mummaroo · 30/05/2011 22:37

Phew... finally caught up!!

Hope everyone is doing well after a nice relaxing bank holiday weekend, I too have taken advantage of having DH at home, we've all had a very lazy day today as DS hasn't seemed himself, so has been happy to just stay in. Have had awful pains over the weekend, especially today, have my scan tomorrow so will find out what's going on then hopefully, just trying not to think about it too much at the moment, which isn't really working, but still!!

Tummytickler hope you are feeling better now, very envious of you seeing Justin, although I must admit as much as I like Something Special I absolutely love Gigglebiz, Keith Fit just cracks me up :o gotta love what children do to you!!

(((Hugs))) to all the one's who are worrying x

ghosteditor · 31/05/2011 09:38

sorry to hear about your pains mummaroo and hope the scan goes ok today.

I'm absolutely exhausted after a very busy weekend - I did a hike with a friend on Saturday (I had to drive) and then went to watch rugby in London on Sunday (also had to drive) and then had friends over Sunday night into Monday, and we all went out on Monday for lunch and shopping, and then when they went home I had to go to another friend's party because hardly anyone else showed up. To round it all off, I had a very odd night's sleep and kept waking up last night.

I just want to crash out this morning but am unfortunately back at work. Thankfully I only have mild nausea and am not actually being sick (am at 7+1 now) - I guess I would have cancelled plans if I'd been feeling unwell. Next weekend is a similar sort of schedule and then I go on holiday for a week with some of my girlie friends. I'm pretty sure I'll have to tell them (at 9 weeks) otherwise they'll think I'm a bit lame with the non-drinking and need to sleep, so it felt very odd to be hiding it from them all this weekend, especially given the amount of chat about other friends who are pregnant or have young children.

Anyone else finding this?

Only a few more weeks of mad dashing about and then DH will be back and I can use him as an excuse just to stay at home a bit!

shonnomanom · 31/05/2011 10:30

Hope your scan goes well today mummaroo

I had a REALLY weird dream last night. Dreamt that we were having twins and so had to move out our flat. We decided not to buy a house but instead build one using blocks of cheese!! Weird!

Hope everyone is well.
Im absolutly shattered after a very busy day yesterday for dd's birthday

xkatyx · 31/05/2011 10:38

I'm 7+1 today also.

Good luck mummaroo on your scan today.

Hope everyone is well

MercyMe · 31/05/2011 10:48

Sorry to hear your news Pixie, will be thinking of you.

Hope all goes well today at your scan mummarooo. Let us know how you get on.

I'm the same katy boobs are fine all day until bra comes off. They are are getting really firm!

I was really sick this morning, so much for me thinking i had escaped morning sickness!

Browncoats · 31/05/2011 11:15

Good luck in your scan today mummaroo

I'm absolutely knackered today too. Really really tired. DP is off work with manflu and I'm trying to stay away from him so I don't catch it, it's much worse for us women!

tummytickler · 31/05/2011 11:38

Good luck today mummaroo

I have a scan at EPU on Thursday at 8.30am. The bleeding is still coming on and off, which is a bugger, but I am no more crampy than I have been for the last 2 weeks, which I am hoping is a good sign. I still feel a bit sicky, adn exhausted. I think I am clutching at straws a bit - I just so hope it will be ok Sad

In an effort to cheer me up dh and I talked about names last night.
It turns out if we have a girl he really, really wants to call it Joyce. He doesn't like any of our other choices any more, and none of mine. This is all he wants.
And this was supposed to cheer me up Grin Joyce!!!
I feel like it ought to go on the list, because our other 4 dc all have names from my original suggestions (and ds2 got my favourite name ever, which dh wasn't too keen on). We'll see . . . . . Grin

Hope you are all doing well today.

fishandlilacs · 31/05/2011 11:50

Pixie Just know were thinking of you, i'm so sorry.

I feel a little less tired today, it's quite nice. Sicker than I have been though.

Have managed to pick up yet more work-at this rate being forced to go freelance is going to involve me doing more hours than I was! I feel looked after by some unseen force, now if it could just strecth to a nice bit fat competition or lottery win i would be a happy lady.

Browncoats · 31/05/2011 15:58

tummytickler I hope the bleeding stops for you soon. I know it's worrying, but just try to take it easy. I think you're right to take it as a good sign that you're still getting other symptoms. Smile

Weevie · 31/05/2011 16:16

Hey everyone.

Haven't posted in a while, some plonker hit our car and drove off so iv been trying to sort that out and diffuse a grumpy DH.

So sorry to hear your news Pixie

katy congrats on your scan!

We have our scan on thursday ill be 6+6 (we had IVF so its just a scan to check everything is as it should and to see if there is one or two [they put 2 embies back in] my family keep winding me up thats its twins because i have a little belly. Im usually quite small but i think its just bloating!)

Hope you all enjoyed the bank holiday. We did apart from the weather! :)

SlightlyScrambled · 31/05/2011 18:22

Pixie, thinking of you and very sorry of your news. Take care of yourself.

trubble · 31/05/2011 18:44

Another newbie here. EDD 14/01/11
Just waded through the threads - have been lucky so far with no nausea - somehow it doesn't feel real without any major symptoms. Have booking in appt next week but I'm still waiting for a scan date. Am off on hols at 12 weeks so just know that that is going to be when scan is scheduled!
