Very surprised, had only SWI once and I thought we had missed the window of opportunity. It seems not, BFP yesterday, royal wedding treat. EDD about 2nd Jan I think.

#2 for me, keeping fingers tightly crossed as had a bumpy ride before conceiving DS. Very excited and slightly terrified. :)

hi guys i might be leaving this group, went to the docs yesterday and they said i feel about 9 weeks whch would put me due in december. will stay in this group till my scan. X

DizzyKipper[ I just had a private scan the other week £75 I had a little bleed and even though we saw the EPU at the hospital they were so pushed for time that I really couldn't see the baby. At the private scan I had my own screen and she was able to enlarge the image so even though bean was small I could see everything including the sac yolk sac and the beginnings of the placenta. I am going back at week 9 to as she said it will be more recognisable. I had 2 nice prints that I can look at which are reassuring and now I am relaxing and have finally stopped knicker checking . I'm on my own this weekend with ds2 as every one else is on camp so we are doing lots of fun stuff that he and me enjoy and tomorrow of to the Big church day out. A bit nervous as I haven't driven that far but will have a friend with me so not to bad.

congrats on the twin news Katy i was convinced by my gp im having twins but with no scan date yet i will just have to wait! baby boom in london so expect big delays! when i had my mw appt i was booked in for 12.30 and not seen till after 1.40 and got out at 2.30- so couldnt get into work! just taking my appt slips as proof because i guess i will have a few more appts in this pregnancy and dont want anyone saying anything to me!
my cheeky mw booked me into "croydon university hospital"(mayday) with no thought of my wishes! how rude!!!!!!!!!! had no problems with there but just wanted a choice! now you can pick your own hospital! fingers crossed will move by then! MW confirmed EDD 29/12/2011 but will find out more at scan!

Just got back from early scan, all is well. Saw heartbeat flickering away. They put me at 8+1 which is less than I have calculated, EDD now 6th Jan. But i am not going to worry about it. It's there and looks ok so far, that's the main thing. I know nothing's certain, and when I had MMC the baby stopped at 11 weeks or so following a good 8wk scan. But the stats say we'd be very unlucky for that to happen twice, so I am focussing on that.

Good news about your scan Spagbolagain

I'm fed up of the worrying and have caved in. Private scan booked tomorrow morning, so hoping to hear a heartbeat. Wish me luck!

nanny if our pram wasnt in such good condition i think we would be getting the graco Fusio as well. Iv had a few plays with it, and its only con is that it doesnt collapse if the baby is facing you. So if you need to collapse it for say public transport then you need to have the baby facing away from you. Other than that its a great pram.

Dd had two new cousins before she was 1 so we gave away alot of her baby clothes, I did however keep a wee stash for this time round.

Wwelcome newbies-my goodness theres a lot of us now-reckon we'll make 50 before the month is out?

I am still feeling utterly shite, I am so tired I could just sleep and sleep. My poor dd is getting roundly ignored at the moment I love her so but I am so cranky I cant face her mental three yr old ness. I keep falling asleep on the sofa. I'm off to bed again in a minute.

I have become the most boring person in the world :)

Thanks everyone for the words of support and advice, I will try my best not to be a stressy mummy and chill as much as I can - I know there's not much else I can do. Your pictures sound amazing Nanny, I would love to get pictures like that even at this early stage - I've been googling everyday to look at pictures of fetal development - I just love to see what my little one looks like right now even.

Me and OH also decided to go shopping still yesterday. I got the cutest cheeky monkey newborn booties, OH got him/her his footie teams sleepwear lol

Morning all!
I am just popping on quickly before I take my 3 year old and 5 year old to meet Mr Tumble at the local zoo! I am so excited! I love Justin. I might try to sneak him home in my bag! Well worth the £50 it is going to cost me and 2 small dc to get into the zoo. Luckily dh is taking the older two dc to play football or we'd need a mortgage to get in to the zoo!

Missed out on today's day out as ds2 was sick last night and just didn't want to chance a long trip with a child that was off colour. My kids all liked Mr. Tumble to when they were small. The play dough is out so at least he has stopped saying he's board.

I can't believe how quickly time is going at the mo and half term is next week fortunately no one has guessed my secret.

Morning all. Been craving sugar this morning, just scoffed a sherbet fountain I found in the cupboard. Was really old, sherbet had actually solidified, but tasty nonetheless.

I too was amazed by the clarity of the early scan. The place I had it done was trialling a new machine, and even at this stage the head was really clear. Sonographer said she could see the beginnings of the spinal column, but was a bit fuzzy to me tbh. She was really delighted, said it's not often you get such good images at 8 weeks so she took lots to use for demonstration purposes with her colleagues :o

Just got back from scan, and feel really reassured. Saw the heartbeat fluttering away and the sonographer said our dates were about right, and everything looked normal. Sooooo relieved and going to try and chill out now!

Spagbolagain that's amazing, she could see the beginnings of a spinal column? Wow. Mine looks very bloblike but I'm 7 wk + 4 according to the scan.

So she said. She called it something I can't remember, and when I asked what she meant she said it would be the spine.....but hey blobs are beautiful :)

I'm afraid I have to leave the list now. My scan confirmed that my pregnancy is not viable. I hope everything goes well for you all.

I would LOVE to see Mr Tumble tummytickler. Dont worry Dizzy you will be fed up of Mr Tumble and loads other tv characters in about 2 years time. Mr Tumble is on Something Special on Cbeebies.

All my symptoms have dulled down the last few days. Just feel more flu like than anything else, well excluding the boobs. Been knicker checking constantly. Im 9 weeks today.

I had ny private scab in Friday and babies look like they are in Separate sacs!! But she booked me in for a couple of weeks to double check!
