Very surprised, had only SWI once and I thought we had missed the window of opportunity. It seems not, BFP yesterday, royal wedding treat. EDD about 2nd Jan I think.

#2 for me, keeping fingers tightly crossed as had a bumpy ride before conceiving DS. Very excited and slightly terrified. :)

Just put myself in with my edd, will probably change after booking in and the 12 week scan though!

Just had a look at buggy's but as I think we're going to just go with a buggy board on our Britax Vigour couldn't get excited, however changing bags, oooooooooohhh!! Found so many amazingly lovely one's will have to do much research into them!! Weird as with ds I was perfectly happy with the free one from Boots, maybe it's because I know I won't get as much new stuff with this LO :o

No, not much stuff the second time round, and probably even less the third time!! I am determined to have a bugaboo bee this time round though, even if it's second hand...it will be mine!! I have started looking at cloth nappies too, I've already got some, but you can never have too many :) Have you looked on Etsy for changing bags...I love Etsy!

Wow falabalamb I had never heard of Etsy, but just been on and even only a very brief glimpse I can see it's amazing, going in for a deeper look now, thank you!!

We looked into cloth nappies for ds, but never got round to it (or have the funds for the main outlay as had so much other stuff to buy) but will look into it a bit more this time and discuss with DH, so I'll be looking out for everyone's advice and experience for using them on this and other threads!!

tummytickler obviously you must get the buggy you want :o but just to let you know we have the Loola Up and have been v happy with it. I don't find it rickety, it maybe is a bit lighter and flexible but that's a bonus as it's not too heavy and folds pretty smallish. Works with the maxi cosi car seat, and the thing that swung it for us was the very adjustable handle. I am 5'3 and DH is 6'5, so a compromise on handle height is difficult. The Loola Up makes it easy for both of us. Think I will get a buggy board for it.

Anyone looking into nappies, we have used itti bitty delish snap in ones since DS was about 2 months. They are v cute and have lasted well, still wearing now.

spagbol that's really interesting - thank you. I guess I will have to look at both! I can't believe I am thinking about this already! I am even worrying about whether I can hang a changing bag on the handles, but then decidded to get this and wear it as a bag, as this is the style of bag I use anyway, and would use it for myself afterwards.

Correcting my details

Keep an eye on TK Maxx for change bags. I got a lovely big bag about a year or so ago and it was the talk of playgroup. Its big enough that I can get new baby stuff and spare change for toddler as well as my own junk.
The biggest problem with TK Maxx though is its your luck on the day what the have. But we'v got plenty of time.
Also check out here they have some lovely bags

Speaking of prams though, my sis inlaw just bought this and I instanly fell in love with it. Its light weight and folds compact and free standing, also comes with everything you need. Bonus

Hello ladies, another new recruit! How nice to join a community of such lovely sounding ladies... I just found out a week ago after 2 yrs of TTC, went to the docs yesterday and now waiting to hear from the MW about my scan. Getting married in 4 weeks, so I guess it will have to wait until after honeymoon!!

Gosh all a bit overwhelming, I'm delighted obvs but struggling to get my head around it (first pg) and have so much on for the next few weeks it's all a bit much. Don't really feel pg, although I am cold too - got my hot water bottle out of the drawer tonight! But didn't connect it with pg until I saw I wasn't alone... other than that I just kind of feel a bit achy in the lower belly, so I guess that's what a growing embryo feels like!
Think my EDD is around 20th Jan, but that's tbc for now...
I've not gone crazy and bought anything yet, but did just order a 'blokes guide to pregnancy' from Amazon - hopefully he will thank me for it and will actually read it too!!

shonnomanom I 'm thinking of going with the new Graco Fusio to as it has a v-good all inclusive package. I'm in a tricky spot as this is baby no. 5 for us. The old cot died on us after our 4th child finished with it ; to be honest it was questionable if he was going to have it. We sold our last pushchair a first gen bugaboo bee which was great. I will have to get new clothes as most of the newborn stuff went through 4 babies ; so can't complain as I got my monies worth. Ditto for the cloth nappies our last stash was used for 3 kids ( cotton Totsbots and some mother ease one size).

Can highly recommend cloth nappies, we will see wether we use them from birth as with no.5 being January my washing cycle with the 7 of us will be at it's worst. Got my last set at the baby show in London and got a good deal on them and spoke to the founding partners of totbots, so helpful. Really like the look of the Easyfits for ease of use but will be looking at reviews later in the pregnancy.

I am looking forward to this weekend as it is only me and ds2 the others are at camp. We have a few nice pre-school activities planned and a ladies lunch as dh is at Wemberly hopefully to see his team win the play offs with half of Reading there to.

Nanny I am in exactly the same situation as you - number 5, and everything worn out or passed on! Have to buy everything again, except a few pieces of clothing and an Ergo!

Hi girls, will update myself in a minute with all the goings on in this thread. Just right now a bit worked up and upset, took another FR today and the line doesn't seem to have gotten any darker (took one 3 days ago and it was a definite BFP but faint). Naturally had to google this as I was concerned about hcg levels, cue reading about MC and ectopic pregnancies. Been crying and worried I might lose it. Anybody able to tell me I'm just being silly and not to worry?

I can foresee this being a very stressful, worry-filled pregnancy.

Morning dizzy sorry you are feeling rotten. I think it could just be the dye in the test, some have more than others. But a feint BFP is a BFP. I think retesting will lead to madness in the nicest possible way of course!
Try not to worry, and stop testing. There is nothing you can do but wait, which is frustrating, but you will make it worse by testing a lot, and fretting.
Could you pay for an early private scan at 8 weeks or so? For gawds sake do not google. Google is your enemy is these situations

How much do scans cost? I don't think I could pay for one really (we're moving in 4 weeks and have that to pay for), I had been hoping my current GP might agree to an early scan anyway as I should be in my 9th week when we move and I'm not sure how long it would take to get sorted out with scans afterwards.

DizzyKipper I'm so sorry you're stressed today. Please try not to worry too much. I know exactly how difficult that is. Go and see your GP on Monday and try to convince him/her about the 9 week scan. They'll understand you're stressed.

I meant to say that I'm sure it's actually fine but the GP will hopefully put your mind at rest

Hidizzy my dating scan will cost £80. Agree with tummytickler repeat testing will drive you crazy. HCG levels vary a lot between people and at different times of day and with how much you have drunk etc. Some people get a bfp quite late on compared to others. If there is enough HCG there to support the PG and suppress menstruation then there is enough there, and if there isn't then you will get bleeding and theres not a lot you can do. The waiting is horrid, but really it's all you can do. From what I have read, after my own MMC, in most cases of miscarriage, the problem is with some problem with the baby which is incompatible with life, it isn't to do with HCG (although it can happen). So really waiting and scans are the only way of knowing that things are progressing normally unless you have a specific problem.

It's hard, but try not to worry. Cos when you get over this bit, there's just a whole new load of stuff to worry about :)
