HI everyone, I know it is very early but I got a very faint positve line this morning, and another at lunch, and another at tea time! Was not due AF till Thurs but was meant to be going for a proceedure that involved radiation tomorrow so needed to do checks and here I am, and there I will not be! I have already got 2 and not told OH yet but need to tell somebody! Anyone else yet?

Morning all.
Talk about vivid, bizarre dreams...mine have started off a treat! So...I gave birth to a sausage dog. Yes, lovely. Then I put a nappy on the wrong way and tried to breastfeed it. I can't even bear to think about what THAT means.
I woke up laughing...
Is this what the next 9 months have in store, dream wise??!!

Someone tell me they have had something similar (maybe not the sausage dog...) or I'm going to be known as a freak in our birth club, and I don't want that...

DarciesmumandBump2 · 21/04/2011 07:42

Morning Ladies.

Bee glad things sorted out with your boss.

I woke up feeling bleurgh and still tired, and my boobs are starting to get sore yay. Other than that still don't feel pregnant but no bleeding so all good.

Haven't had any weird or vivid dreams so can't comment but a sausage dog aye?!

pixie04 · 21/04/2011 07:55

Morning all,

Jomouse I've had a few dodgy dreams too (not doggy dreams though) I read this link www.babycenter.com/0_whats-in-a-dream-during-pregnancy-a-lot_7569.bc I keep being told by my friends who have babies that they had really weird dreams to do with pregnancy and the anxieties surrounding it.

I woke up at 5am and couldn't properly get back to sleep, pee'd three times between 5 and 7 Confused .

Tjuice I had a pizza express yesterday as well! All that lovely food, I'm so jealous, I LOVE krispie kreme doughnuts yum. I'm about 1.5 stone (about 9.5 kilo) over my usual weight that I've put on in the last 6 months which makes me slightly overweight but to be honest I think it's the extra weight that@s helped me conceive. I'm not looking forward to being public property though, I've watched a couple of friends go through it recently and everyone seems to want to share their opinion on your size once you start showing, not fair!

jomouse · 21/04/2011 08:06

pixie that link is great, thanks for posting.
Sounds as though that dream is about being scared and a dog being being easier (and less responsibility) than a baby...
Phew! Feel slightly less bonkers now.

BlueCrane · 21/04/2011 08:44

Morning all...just been doing a quick catch up through the posts from yesterday! Glad everyone's starting to get docs apps and such...roll on the start of the scans!!

I also had an odd day yesterday - had my appraisal with new boss who I don't get on with that well....but it actually went really well and he was much better than i thought...though I did end up spilling the beans about PG as he kept asking me whether I was feeling happier this year (bad year last year) and what my thoughts/plans were for the coming year...I'm sooo useless at lying and didn't want to have a 'false' conversation with him to then go back in a few weeks to share the news! He was good about it though and has promised to keep it quiet, we also had a brief chat about what I might do if I go back PT (can't do my job PT) and he came up with an excellent solution so feel a bit more relaxed about that now...though DH wasn't too happy I'd told him even though he was pleased about the result of the conversation! Think it's made me realise I need to be really careful about not saying anything to anyone...I'll only be 7 weeks tomorrow so still early days!!

Really hope my MW would hurry up and call...want to go and see her asap as apparently we get to hear the heartbeat when we do which would be amazing!!

Right...off to work!!

LaWeasel · 21/04/2011 10:18

Hi, everyone!

Just found out I'm due 27th December, so seemed like time to check in.

I'm a SAHM to me DD who is 2, both sets of grandparents will be living a good 2/3 hours away when no 2 arrives and I'm already worrying about what on earth I'm going to do about childcare for DD when I'm in labour!

Otherwise extremely excited about my christmas baby.

Symptoms wise, I too am having very vivid dreams. Nightmares unfortunately. I could probably write an excellent horror film script on the inspiration from them. Hope they pass soon, I'm sure my dreams were much more relevant to the impending baby last time (I remember I dreamt that she would be kidnapped regularly?!)

In other news I got cramp in my leg in bed night. I'm sure this didn't happen until at least 8mths last time so am gutted to be getting the really rubbish symptoms so early.

I'm also not allowed to be checked in to see a MW until 10weeks (true for people with first babies too) which seems really late. Oh well.

KateM77 · 21/04/2011 11:02

Thanks for the birthday wishes for DD. She was in nursery and I was at work yesterday, but doing a little tea for her tomorrow.

Bleurgh! Spent half of last night throwing up. Hardly any sleep and feel really rough so I've had take a sick day from work - only been back from last maternity leave 3 weeks. Really hoping this is a bug rather than a sign of things to come over the next 6 weeks or so as I'm not sure how I'll cope if this carries on. Previous pg I only ever felt sick and never physically threw up.

DD in nursery again today so I'm going to spend the day resting and keeping everything crossed that I feel a lot better again by this evening

BlueCrane · 21/04/2011 11:32

Owww kate hope you feel better soon that sickness sounds horrible! Make sure you rest...at least there's a few short weeks coming up which will no doubt help us all with the tiredness and other symptoms!

UntamedShrew · 21/04/2011 12:05

Kate poor you, get on the Polos - I posted a list earlier on in thread about things I tried when I was carrying the twins and puking 20 times a day. That was what 'worked' best for me, hope you get to enjoy your tea party.

Heavy lifting is something I can not avoid, both boys are well over 2 stone each now and will not take no for an answer when they ask to be carried. Luckily they are pretty good on the whole about walking themselves, it's just when they are tired. And how can I refuse when they ask to be 'mummy's baby' at bedtime? They love being wrapped up in a towel and carried up to bed while I sing rock a bye. 'Rod for own back' springs to mind!

I feel pretty queasy, but only when I am not eating. The thought of food is repellent but as soon as I get eating I feel fine again.

How long have you had to wait between seeing GP and hearing anything back from the hospital? I went over a week ago and I wonder if I should chase it up. Very impatient I know but we are away next week so won't know if we get an appointment or not.

Sorry to go on, this is quite long!

zambooloo · 21/04/2011 12:09

Hi everybody, I went to the doctor yesterday and had my pregnancy confirmed - due 19th December! Sounds like most of you have symptoms already - I have the achiest boobs imaginable and did have a bad back last week and early this week but fingers crossed that seems to have stopped! Also keep waking up really early (4.30 this morning) and can't get back to sleep - have any of you experienced this? I'm a teacher so loving the easter holidays at the moment - not sure how I'll cope when we go back next week!

Really looking forward to chatting to you all and sharing stories before we tell everyone else! First baby so still can't really believe it is happening!

Wishing you all well xxx

KateM77 · 21/04/2011 13:06

Thanks for the sympathy Blue and Shrew and for the tips. Will definitely try the polos!

I've also been finding myself wide awake in the night zambooloo. I remember being quite an insomniac at the end of my previous pregnancy and assumed it was body's way of getting ready for being up in the night with the baby, but don't remember being like it at the start too. Hope that doesn't continue throughout or I'll be a scummy Mummy rather than a yummy Mummy!

xstitch · 21/04/2011 13:45

I have just had a fight with DP. He said it wasn't normal for me to be so tired and sleepy :(. I said it wasn't my fault it was normal and the baby was taking up energy, He then said I should eat for 2 so I ended up moaning at him about that one Blush. I think to be fair he is a bit stressed about being so far away during the first few weeks.

BlueCrane · 21/04/2011 14:14

xstitch sorry you've had a disagreement, we've had a few too and it's so hard for them to feel a full part of it all and really understand what's going on in our bodies and emotions...we haven't even got a clue half the time! He probably is worried about being away and his concern just coming out in an unhelpful way.

I've just also had bit of a 'to do' with DH about plans for his birthday next week as he won't let me know what he wants to do and I have no idea whether I'm going to have energy/no energy feel sick/not feel sick or how I'll be at all really!! Grrr...now he's said it's all too much bother and he doesn't want to do anything...but I really want to do something for him as it's a big birthday and I've spent hours researching and coming up with ideas (mostly before I knew I was PG though!!)

jo102jo · 21/04/2011 15:29

BlueCrane 26yrs old. Norwich. First child. Due 3rd December x

jo102jo · 21/04/2011 15:37

Hi all,

Just thought i'd catch up with everyone. I had a little bit of a scare the other day (pain and bleeding) and had an early scan (im 7 weeks). Extremely nerve racking but i am relieved to report that baby is extremely healthy and i saw the little heartbeat which was huge on the screen! Delighted and have my first scan picture to look at now, which to everyone just looks like a white blob but to me is my little baby!! :-)

The pain/bleeding was 'unexplained but nothing to worry about'. Just one of those things. Phew!

Scare over, just enjoying being pregnant again (except morning, afternoon, evening sickness)!

Hope you are all well,

Jo x

lalababy · 21/04/2011 15:39

Hi All - I thought I'd join in the coversation - I am due on 26 December. Sitting at work (pretending to be interested in work - HA) - completely unsure about what I should be doing. I went to a GP - assume he will refer me to someone...right?

DarciesmumandBump2 · 21/04/2011 15:43

Afternoon ladies.

So tired and hungry but not sure what to eat. DD is being good and playing in her room since getting home from work. Shes got swimming later on so just chill between now and then.

UntamedShrew · 21/04/2011 16:31

jo how exciting you saw it! We had an early scan with the twins as I too had bleeding. We thought DT1 looked like a slug so throughout the pregnancy they were known as Slug & Lettuce.

Congrats lala and welcome :)

Is it a craving or am I just greedy? I can not stop thinking about warm white bread with butter so thick you can see your teeth in it. Think I am going to have to stop at waitrose on way home.

BlueCrane · 21/04/2011 16:42

shrew mmmm...that sounds yummy!!

I'm really struggling with how warm it is in our office this afternoon, making me so thristy and so sleepy and been having more cramps and pains today than usual...and boobs sore...urgh...can't imagine how it will be in the actual summer though at least everyone will know at work so I can legitimately demand to be closer to the window for some fresh air!!

Just found out why DH all stroppy earlier - he's got a cold or maybe bad hayfever but not feeling good...mmm

jo102jo · 21/04/2011 16:47

UntamedShrew I LOVE their nick names, adorable!

Cherrypi · 21/04/2011 16:54

Ooh i really fancy some fresh bread now. Just had a homemade chocolate brownie though.

LittleBlueBoat · 21/04/2011 17:06

I think i'm weird i want noodles! and ice!

I keep thinking about the little hreatbeat on the screen , the little flicker that is my baby's heartbeat. Its so amazing to see it, i think i'm having trouble believing i'm pg Confused

DarciesmumandBump2 · 21/04/2011 19:52

Lala Congratulations - your due the same day as me Grin

Can't face eating anything makes me queasy :(

Littleblueboat ahh bless ya - it's so cool seeing it on screen for the first time, really hits home your having a baby :)

DP & me have had a row so feel shit & teary. It's like he doesn't understand and he doesn't say anything :(

GirlWithTheMouseyHair · 21/04/2011 21:12

hi y'all, can't believe how quickly this thread goes, have only been offline for 2 days!

Welcome newbies...boo to everyone having rows with their DH's, on and off at ours too, am getting sick of explaining to him I'm so kanckered I have to be in bed by 10pm at the latest so if he wants sex he needs to say so quicker, then he gets pissed off I'm not initiating it, because I can't be bloody arsed!

Having said that, I'm in France with my folks and DS til next Thurs then have 2 days with DH before he buggers off to america with work for 3 weeks, and miss him horribly already (and already exhausted at the thought of full time work +single motherhood for 3 weeks)

KateM77 · 21/04/2011 21:57

Finally feeling vaguely human again, really hoping for a good night's sleep tonight and that the horrible sickness was a one off!

Scan date has come through for Fri 27th May. Seems like ages away but it's good to know when it will be at least. Now in a dilemma with what to do with DD though as it says on the letter shildren aren't allowed to come. Appointment 8.30am so will be tricky to find someone to look after her. Hope we get something sorted out because I really want DH to come to the scan with me.
