Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
SnoozleDoozle · 18/03/2011 19:11

Hollibobs I have very little in the way of symptoms too, and it does sort of freak me out a bit. Very tired though, crampy pains, and hungry. But very little sickness or anything. With DD I vomited steadily for 9 months (although this may not have been morning sickness, as I was diagnosed with gallstones part way through, so it could have been that) Anyway, straight after giving birth I was a stone lighter than I had been before being pregnant. Naturally I was delighted to be leaving hospital in my ordinary jeans, but it was a bit of a drastic weightloss programme, and not one I'd want to repeat...

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 18/03/2011 19:58

Congrats Hollibob! I have similar symptoms to you - ie not much. Felt quite queasy at the start of the week, now nothing. Have very little appetite and get full very quickly (given my weight, a good thing I think!).

Can I be controversial and say at this moment in time we are all carrying girls! I think (and I accept I may be completely wrong) that all embryos are girls and are not sexed until later on in early pg? Or am I talking runnish Grin

Woodifer in my first pg I CRAVED maltloaf with butter (and watermelon and crumpets). The watermelon craving has begun already - currently halfway through a whole one bought on Tuesday!

I saw my GP today. I'm only 5+2 but she gave me the midwife number to call and I have an appt Monday! I brought up the possibility of home birth on the phone and she was encouraging but I she hasn't read my notes yet as I'd be a HBAC! All may change on Monday!

pod3030 · 18/03/2011 20:17

evening all. MrsArch i think that's right that all embryos are female until a flood of testosterone determines the sex later. think i saw it on 'child of our time' with that bloke with the big mustache Grin

i saw my gp today too, for all of one minute. she yawned for half of that minute too! pregancy must be very boring to her.
made an app for midwife (a group one!?) for 8th april.
i am having soy sauce on everything. finished a bottle in three days (low salt version) mmmmmm

Truffkin · 18/03/2011 20:30

Another one with no symptoms here too. No sickness, boobs feelnormal and although I've been in bed early the last few nights, that's down to my cold rather than tired sympoms! I know you aren't supposed to say things like this but I'd love to have a little boy Blush

I have my GP appointment on Tuesday morning. I called the surgery for them just to make a note that I'm pregnant but they said I needed to come in to see a GP. It had better be worth it now! I've also booked a private scan for next Friday when I'll be 6+1 so am excited for that now!

Is anyone else watching Comic Relief? I keep welling up, what a wuss!

Truffkin · 18/03/2011 20:31

P.S I forgot to present Wuzz with this shiny golden trophy for getting the last post on our previous thread Grin

busyboysmum · 18/03/2011 20:45

Congratulations and welcome Hollibobs

That's the same due date as me as well - 11/11/11. My eldest son was born 20/02/2002 so another interesting date.

I went to see my MW today and she just confused me about what they do here now as she was just helping out for the day so had no real idea how things work at my particular practice. Apparently I now wait for a pack to tell me what happens next.

My symptoms are not strong - all my pregnancies have been boys and I've never had real sickness, I just tend to bloom in all ways! I could do with a bit of sickness to keep my weight down! (not really and apologies to those who are suffering)

laabama · 18/03/2011 21:02

Evening all! A day without posting and we're onto page 5 of thread 2! Welcome to all the new people - November is getting busy. I'm so glad that other people don't seem to have too many symptoms too. It is a little disconcerting although I realise that I should just be grateful for small mercies! That said, I have spent most of yesterday and today feeling really queasy, so am now hoping that that's not going to last... No pleasing some people!

I did read somewhere that few symptoms tend to indicate boys. Any truth in that or just an old wife's tale?!? Confused

PS - I'm loving the 11/11/11 date!

chipmonkey · 18/03/2011 21:03

Refer to my previous post ( on the old thread?) about being violently ill with all four boys. I also know another MNEr with four boys and she was sick on all of them. Another who has four girls and just recently a boy and had hyperemesis on all of them.

A friend with "one of each" had identical pregnancies all the way through and was shocked when what she was expecting to be a dd2 turned out to be ds!

Folicacid · 18/03/2011 21:26

Yoohoooo

I've been lurking here for weeks on and off, but have been too scared to post. Felt like tempting fate or summan. I'm 7 weeks and have had an early scan due to bleeding. All seems to be growing in the right place though, so feel a bit more relaxed.

Pregnancy has turned me into a pensioner. I'm in bed by 9 ish most nights and sleeping instantly and up at about 6.30am. That's when I'm not snoozing on the couch.

Boobs have exploded, and queasy in the evenings. anyone else queasy evenings rather than morning? Should have said, this is my first so I know nuthin!

Also have to feed self every couple of hours but have a horrible sense of fullness. Haven't eaten any proper dinner today, just snacking. Feels weird as I'm normally a three square meals kinda gal.

Anyway, nice to meet you

laabama · 18/03/2011 21:29

Thanks Chip!!! Feel debunked! :)

chipmonkey · 18/03/2011 21:33

Welcome, Folicacid! Good name, please post every day so I don't forget to take mine!Grin

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 18/03/2011 21:37

Hi Folicv! I too am more queasy late afternoon to evening. Was about the same with DD.

Bizarre craving tonight. Am desperate for a grilled lamb chop!! DP out to get one tomorrow!

Folicacid · 18/03/2011 21:38

Haha yeah clearly lacking inspiration when I joined. I suppose I should be grateful I didn't end up VitB6 Grin

Folicacid · 18/03/2011 21:39

MRs Arch, Great, I'm normal! It's a bit rubbish but in many ways good as not queasy at work.

WuzzAndBuddy · 18/03/2011 21:42

Woohoo! Arrived just in time for my trophy! Talk about timing! Grin

So... think we're clear of the dreaded pox... the spots had gone this morning... really strange as they didn't look like a heat rash but I'm assuming thats what it must have been... Confused
So he seems to be fine...

I, on the other hand, have felt like crap all day!
Took me 45minutes to get out of bed after my alarm went off, felt so sick from the minute I rolled over to turn my alarm off, hardly spoke to anyone at work all day, spent my lunch break curled up on the chair in the corner browsing twitter on my phone, was ready to cry each time my friend made the usual cheeky digs at the usual rubbish that we usually talk about... but today...grrr, glad its finished!

Tomorrows another day eh!?

Dee I'm totally with you on the Lovehearts for heartburn! They were hands down the only thing that stopped my heartburn with DS!

Does anyone else just love that moment after a long day when you're finally able to whip off your bra..... oooooh I've been looking forward to it all day! Blush Grin Wink

Folicacid · 18/03/2011 21:56

Ooooft I don't think I could manage to whip my bra anywhere...Wink

WuzzAndBuddy · 18/03/2011 22:03

Lol folicacid, well.... you know what I mean! Grin

Folicacid · 18/03/2011 22:08

Haha I know it, sort of like aaaaaaaaaaaah blessed relief. Then ouch ouch ouch.

Truffkin · 18/03/2011 22:10

I'm definitely not a bra whipper with my mammoth mammaries Grin Am quite concerned about looking like I have 3 bumps later on!

WuzzAndBuddy · 18/03/2011 22:21

Lol Truff, that would be too weird Confused

Fol, mine goes ... ooooooohhhhh ahhhhhhh.... eeeeeeeek! Ow, ow, ow... mmmmm bed, zzzzzz...... lol

TerrysNo2 · 18/03/2011 23:54

Evening all!

Wuzz so know what you mean about the bra, its like going to the toilet now too, as I always feel desperate, its like a sigh of relief!!

Dee going to have to stock up on some lovehearts, had really bad heartburn last time, I got through about 6 of the giant bottles of gaviscon [yuck emoticon]!!

Sickness has really started now, I feel sick all day, almost like I am hungry but even when I eat I feel bad. Was eating eggs today, liking taste but hating smell. Whats that all about?!!?

Right, to bed - going to Ireland tomorrow for the Six Nations game so it will be a long day. Back on Sunday so will catch up then!

OP posts:
chipmonkey · 18/03/2011 23:58

Hey, Welcome to Ireland, Terrys! Grin

pod3030 · 19/03/2011 07:49

morning! wuzz i concur on the bra thing. ahhhhhhhhh. set those babies free!

Daiso · 19/03/2011 08:02

Morning ladies

Welcome folic
Was fast asleep by 9.30pm last night so wide awake at 7am! Very unheard of for me on a weekend Smile

Sickness still coming and going (feeling not being) and no sore boobs at all - and am a big booby lady (32G!) So when it all kicks in will make holly willowbooby look small!!

Know exactly what everyone means re bra taking off - have always loved doing this!

I felt really guilty yesterday as I had a nugget happy meal at lunch and chinese for dinner but didn't eat much of chinese as made me feel ill. I'm really struggling to decide what I fancy to eat.

How's everyone else doing?

cep · 19/03/2011 08:24

morning all,

wow i missed a lot last night, bra whipping?? sounds kinda kinky. Wink

welcome folic congratulations.

truff you can have mine if you like, he's currently upstairs trying to persuade his daddy (who was asleep still not feeling great) that he didn't really have to tidy his toys up if he wanted to go swimming. Grin infact last night i would have almost given him to anyone passing, i had to put him on the naughty step about a billion times cause he kept getting off, while i was cooking dinner. but it is nice when he suddenly says i lub you mummy.

well no more bleeding from me this morning, so i seem to have gone to every other day, i just hope tomorrows isn't as red as yesterdays. i'm dreading monday.

hope everyone is ok.
