Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
MooseyMoo · 18/03/2011 10:59

Oh, forgot to put my main symptoms at mo are:

sore boobs, all day nausea, weird dreams and constipation. I also get really breathless when walking, cannot walk my normal pace otherwise it makes me nauseous.

Can't remember who asked about constipation but I highly recommended tinned pears in syrup. Doesn't have to be pears (could be any fruit) but must be in syrup. It loosens the stool to make it easier to pass. Also, twiglets do wonders for me Blush

Right off to have hot choc and toast whilst DD is having her morning nap.

marthamay · 18/03/2011 11:16

HIya mooseymoo CONGRATS!!! How exciting to hear a heartbeat! It is absolutely amazing. You have a dc exactly the same age as mine - he was born in April last year. I'm so thrilled to have such a small age gap. Was yours intentional?

Do you know when you ov'd? Maybe that would help the whole EDD dilemma? It would really p me off if people kept on giving me different dates.

Congrats again!

cep · 18/03/2011 11:22

welcome moosey and congratulations. babycentre do a due calendar with adjustable ucl's. When do you think your edd is.

dirgeinvegas · 18/03/2011 11:47

MarthaMay I believe that fats aren't good for heartburn. I can't face dry toast though. Early heartburn is caused by relaxing of the smooth muscle from your mouth to stomach (oesophagus -sp?). In late pregnancy it's caused by your stomach being squashed by the baby. I think there are fewer remedies except finding ways to make space for your baby below your ribs.

I am also feeding and pregnant. DD is 2 and feeds a few times in the day and 2-3 times at night. I have read about it to death if there is anything you want to ask. My nipples are killing me and DD seems to have increased her feeding. Im finding it hard tbh.

MooseyMoo · 18/03/2011 12:17

marthamay Thank you! My DD was born on 1st May. I'm thrilled as well but also realise it's going to be hard work. Luckily both sets of parents live nearby so have lots of help at hand. And yes, it was intentional.

I Ov'd on 15th Feb and DTD 15th and 16th. My LMP is 26th Jan, and I think I'm due on 12th Nov.

cep Thanks, that's what I used to figure out my EDD. Lots of calculators use 28 days so took a while to find one where I could change the cycle.

Right, food time for DD and then me.

deemented · 18/03/2011 12:20

Hey Caz - lovely to see you Grin Can't believe we've got the same due date Smile

MarthaMay - LoveHearts sweets are really good for heartburn. I'm on my third pack in as many days. I'm also still breastfeeding DS3. He's 14 months now and is waking more in the night too - i think my supply has dropped a little, so that may be whats up with him. I fed DD all the way through my pregnancy with him and IIRC my supply did drop a bit in the early days.

chipmonkey · 18/03/2011 12:37

Welcome Moosey!Smile

Will someone slap me please? I am getting freaked out now because others have had early scans and seen a heartbeat when I had none.Sad The doc said it was early to see one but I am still worried.

cep · 18/03/2011 13:46

chip honey i'm sure it'll be fine. it can take anything from 5-7 weeks for the heart to start if i remember correctly. When are you going back again??

chipmonkey · 18/03/2011 14:15

Next Thursday. I will be exactly 7 weeks then. Also a bit worried about it as the obs himself will be scanning. I have more faith in sonographers than obstreticians but that is probably being daft.Blush

rightontime · 18/03/2011 14:31

martha that is awful about your cats. At least I knowingly gave my dog to my friend. Didn't realise she would pass her on straight away though. I could ask for the dog back but the thing is she was more than I could cope with really being a very energetic collie. I still have another collie but he is a little less manic. I would never have rehomed her just for the sake of it though. My friend claimed that she wanted to do agility with her and take her for 2-3 walks a day, so I thought I was doing the right thing. It is more the principle that she has been lying to me saying that the dog still lives with her when I know for a fact it does not.

Have had a nap today a woke up so hungry. Tried to eat and now I feel sick again. Sad Hate it when I feel rubbish all day. I suspect I need more fresh air.

Welcome to moosey

cep · 18/03/2011 14:46

chip why more faith in sonographers??? at least the obs would be able to answer more queries.

righton has she admitted it yet?

rightontime · 18/03/2011 14:49

I don't see her until monday. I work with her. Thought it was a bit odd that every time I try and meet up with her she has a sudden change of plan or something comes up. I will tackle her on monday a find out exactly what is going on.

cep · 18/03/2011 14:55

fx she had a good reason, but there'll never be a good enough reason for lying.

Woodifer · 18/03/2011 14:58

:( to the sad pet stories

I am not eating for 2 i am eating for 20!

Ridiculous appetite - today i have eaten - weetabix, orange juice, satsuma (this was the healthy start), bacon roll with 2 hash browns (work canteen), chicken wrap, malt loaf with butter (2 slices), mini pork pie....

i won't get a bump as i will actualy be a sphere!

Hollibobs · 18/03/2011 15:00

Hi, I've just found out I'm 6 weeks pregnant with my second child however I am not getting any symptoms!Apart from feeling constantly hungry I could forget I was pregnant at all.
I had sickness with my little girl for the first three months and sore boobs but this time nothing.
Anyone else experienced this? I'm wondering if it is because I'm carrying a boy this time.

Hollibobs · 18/03/2011 15:01

Oh and current due date is 11.11.11!

Woodifer · 18/03/2011 15:34

Congratulations Hollibobs!

That's the same as me (at the mo)

Got MW appt Monday - eek!

chipmonkey · 18/03/2011 15:47

cep, I just think sonographers are better at scans and tend to be more friendly but that's just my experience! My obs also is inclined to be a man of few words!

rightontime · 18/03/2011 15:48

Congrats hollibobs. I am not symptomless but They do feel very different to symptoms with my 2 boys so I am wondering if I am carrying a girl this time.

cep that is it exactly. Maybe she wanted to save me being upset, she knew I didn't want the dog back and she didn't want it herself in the end. still it is the lying and me finding out 1 year later that i am annoyed about. Angry

sorry I will stop my ranting now Blush

panpipe · 18/03/2011 15:56

Hollibobs I'm the same. I think I'm 5 and a bit weeks and other than period-type cramps (which I'm told are normal) I've got no symptoms at all. I thought I'd 'feel pregnant' once I'd been to the GP but it was such a quick and basic appointment that I don't yet. Booking appt with MW is 7th April so hopefully by then some sort of symptom will show up!

chipmonkey · 18/03/2011 16:21

Sorry, Hollibobs, meant to say Welcome!Grin

chipmonkey · 18/03/2011 16:23

Btw, anyone who wants my symptoms is more than welcome to them!Wink [self-pity]

CazandBelle · 18/03/2011 17:12

Have added to stats thread now. Forgot about that yesterday.

Had to run out of class today (I'm a teacher) to be sick. Luckily for me I work in SEN and have 3 other staff in the room so there isn't the worry about leaving the children on their own!

Now its the weekend Tuesday is feeling closer. I need this scan to put my mind at rest, if only for a while!

How is everyone else feeling?

cep · 18/03/2011 17:42

welcome hollibobs congratulations.

chip i was just being nosey. Grin i've only ever had scans by sonographers so i just wondered.

caz very very tired. Grin

Pipsbump · 18/03/2011 17:48

Hey Caz,

Good work making it out of the class. I had to leave work today at lunchtime, was absolutely shattered and that made me feel a bit ill. I need to remember that I am pregnant and can't run about like a headless chicken all the time.

Just glad it's the weekend, going to have a chilled out weekend and try and do as little as possible.

Hollibobs hello and welcome :)

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend. Take care :o xxx
