Huge congrats Mummywilliams and welcome to George :)

Qwerty hope all is going well for you

Labella sounds like half term might be hectic :( can you draft anyone in to help, or can the kids be araange to go out with friends if anything happens?

Jbells this just gets scarier!! We live really close to the 'Tele' and its been our local for years!! Guess we will definitely recognise one another :) we normally invade at the back by the dartboard! We were there on Tuesday for the quiz actually (first time in ages) :)

Got to tidy up today, before i disappear under the mess, and i want to have another play with the pram. We had our last ante natal session last night and got given our green 'birth to 5' books, so will have a look through that too :) I am now 39+1 and quite eager to meet the little one. Saw midwife yesterday and she said i am '3/5s palp' in my notes, so he has moved down a wee bit further.

Friend's 30th meal is all systems go for saturday evening, so its wait and see to see if we get there :)

Take care all xx

Hurrah, many congratulations mummyw! Glad all ok (and great choice of name, not that I'm remotely biased Wink ...)

qwerty thinking of you, sure everything will be fine but hope the induction doesn't mean it's horribly painful.

Ooh congratulations mummyw

Hello everyone else.

Off to mw in a min - how on earth are you supposed to collect a sample with a giant beach ball stuck to your front Hmm. Am sooooo uncomfortable - can only describe it as feeling like I've been kicked really hard in the fanjo Blush was in tears last night as I couldn't sit, stand or lie comfortably :( marginally better this morning so am trying to look on the bright side that it hopefully means lo has moved down a bit more.

Found out yesterday a friend had her twins - a boy and girl both over 5lbs which has made me excited to meet my little one now :)

Congratulations mummyw!

That's good news ilove - very reassuring. I'm bigger than you but I like your mantra anyway as it's something I worry about in my moments of worrying about everything!

Congratulations Qwerty that's brilliant news and worked quickly a well!

When I'm on the laptop next I will update the stats.

Very excited now that instead of 6 x 12 hour shifts over the weekend now my DH is going to be on call rather than at the factory so I will get to see him more [cgrin]

It's not long now for you Bonkerz I wonder how many more babies we will have over the weekend?

Hi, I didn't post here very often and now don't belong as my baby was on Saturday at 38+6. It was a surprisingly quick labour. Woke up at about 3am when waters broke, contractions started after about half a hour but were only 4-5mins apart right from the start. We went to the hospital at about 6am and she was born at 9.30, weighing 6lb 12oz. She is beautiful and we are very lucky, but I truly haven't known tiredness and overwhelming emotion like this.

ElfOnTheTopShelf · 28/04/2011 20:15

gosh, it makes it all really real now, doesn't it, all these babies arriving! Congrats to those with the new arrivals :)
Supposed to be going to the coast tomorrow (80 miles away). Will take my notes just in case! Am not expecting to go into labour early, DD was early but by planned section, and only six days before, and this baby still feels really high up.

cowboylover · 28/04/2011 20:18

Thanks Loopy I was about to look that up.

JBells I am seeing my consultant on Tuesday for the mode of delivery discussion and I have got to go on my own as everyone else working. Not sure how it will go or even what my preferred option is! It swings from wanting a natural birth to something planned so I know what is going on and when! So hard not being in control for once!

Congratulations stegosaurus that was a quick labour! I hope the tiredness passes soon and you can enjoy your little girl x

jbells · 28/04/2011 20:29

Cowboy. I feel exactly the same even during day to day im just not sure whether natural delivery is best or elcs i gues i will have to make my mind up anc get usdd to either idea soon. That is unless mother nature intervenes b4 nxt thurs

Congratulations QwertyQueen. Thanks for letting us know so soon. Looking forward to hearing about how it went. :)

And congratulations too to stegasaurus. I think you do belong here because we stay on this thread until the last one pops! (ready to be corrected by somebody who knows better) :)

I will be 38 weeks tomorrow. I have to keep my legs crossed for a couple of weeks because hospital stuff is not ready at all (like still got to go and buy nighties, thermometers and goodness knows what else style not ready), DH is starting a new job on Monday and he is going on a business trip for a day the following week (didn't want to say no due to new job), and I haven't washed any of baby's new clothes yet!

Report
runningmonkey · 28/04/2011 20:56

Congrats stegasaurus! Do stay with us if you want to :)

v v twingey here don't think it's contractions though... Still bouncing on ball :)

Keep bouncing running :)

Loopy yes i.will definately b discussing that. My main fear is them trying to turn the baby agen or use of forceps :( its getting scary now. Half of me wants to go into labour b4 i c cons so that the decision is taken out of my hands

Congratulations, MummyW, Qwerty and stegasaurus! It's really started to happen now!

I bought loads of evening primrose oil today at Holland & Barrett, it's half price at the moment. Not sure if I should start taking it now or wait until next week... DH asked earlier if I fancy having a curry this weekend... I wonder if he might be up for something else as well Grin.

Had a Mother-to-Be treatment at Clarins today, it was faboulous, shame it couldn't go on for longer. Back to painting skirting boards tomorrow, sigh...
