I really dont know. Backache is still niggling but stomach pains have gone. Sister got quite cranky with me but i swear if i was truely in labour i would never cope with the pain and whilst i was crying during the pains this morning i hadnt collapsed under the pain (which is what i did when in labour with DS, i was a HUGE WIMP!)
im rubbish in the heat which doesnt help and despite having a fan on me all the time im still too hot. i think ive just had enough of being pregnant and i dont like to fuss so will grit my teeth until waters break or i collapse lol.......although thats what the midwife told me not to do as that would probably mean EMCS instead of ELCS!

Hi all, just a quick check-in. Haven't disappeared (or popped) but Mum is here visiting and so we've been out and about a bit.

Happy birthday brillo hope you had a lovely day and happy birthday to your DH loopy

I am sooooo fed up now, just want this baby to arrive - even resorted to a birthday treat Wink for DH in attempt to kick things off with no luck so far! Am convinced I will be ringing my Mum as she is halfway home to turn around and come back as I am in labour or I'll be still whinging in 3 weeks time before being induced again!

Will come back tomorrow for a proper catch-up hope everyone has had a lovely Easter weekend x

...Oh and bonkerz my money is on you for next thread baby :)

Congratulations perpetuallypregnant sounds as if it went well. Its very exciting now that the may babies are coming Grin
I've been having lots of cramps but they don't seem to develop into anything which i'm now just finding frustrating. Considering trying the evening primrose oil tomorrow not desperate enough for the castor oil yet.

kiwigirlinlondon · 25/04/2011 23:59

Congratulations PP! Glad you feel well now and she's a good size and beautiful.

Loopy am very jealous of your back to school. Mine not back till may 4th :0(

Soft play today with lots of mates who will do the running around for me and I'm waiting for garage to ring about the gearbox and possibly clutch for car. Gonna cost them £2300 if they want out!!!!!!

Woke with headache but a wriggly baby just hope the niggly back ache stops soon or I know I will be escorted to hospital by my lovely friends. Lol

Bonkerz · 26/04/2011 08:45

Also can we perhaps have a new thread for this popping stage please as this one takes forever to load on my phone!!!

Justtrying · 26/04/2011 09:36

Congrats pp. Glad it sounds like a good weekend was had by all. I've been enjoying the good weather and pottering. DH has been changing the windows in the nursery, which has delayed painting but is done now so i'm trimming mastik then applying masking tape hoping he won't be too late to night and might start painting. Have got fingers crossed that LO doesn't put in an apperance until its finished I think the weekend after next is a reasonable estimate when i'll be 38 weeks. I might as well be useful as his car died last week so whilst i'm on leave he's using mine. Hope his new one arrives before next tuesday when i'm in work for a few hours. Only 3 half days to go before maternity leave. Smile
MW tomorrow but other than that not much planned this week due to lack of wheels. LO is really active and having lots of Braxton Hicks which are sometimes uncomfortable other than that nothing to report.

JBrd · 26/04/2011 09:52

Loopy - thank you for all the links to the slings, that's great. I think that we might be running out of time, so maybe getting a second-hand one for now will be easier, and then get my mum to make one later. Guess you can never have too many slings Smile

We had a lovely weekend, catching up with friends and family - kicking off with an NCT group meeting on Friday, we are all so ready to pop, it's scary! Then on Saturday, DH had a cooking marathon and filled the freezer up to the brim with lovely yummy food for me to have once baby has arrived and I can't get my head around cooking. All I will have to do is decide what I want to eat and then go to the freezer to get it! DH works away from home 4 days/week, so I think it made him feel a bit more involved and contributory (not sure if that's even a word...).
Sunday was at the PIL with DH brother and sister and entourage - SIL1 really annoyed me because she kept mentioning how massive I am, probably bigger than she was with her DS - thanks, SIL1, because I just need constant reminders that I look like a walrus Angry. BIL greeted me with 'you sure you don't have twins in there?', but did it with a cheeky grin (and got whacked around the head immediately by SIL2 - they've got a DD, so he knows what to say and what not). But other than that, it was lovely, had a nice family meal outside with lots of chitchat. Then to London to meet with friends yesterday, I'm trying to 'make the rounds' while I still can... They've all been warned we might have to cancel at the last minute!

I know I shouldn't say it, but I'm a bit relieved that it's not so hot today - I've been having elephant feet and ankles for the last week, I had to wear the flight socks even in the really hot weather, v. uncomfortable.
Today will be a lazy day, methinks... I don't think I can be bothered painting the skirting boards on the stairs and landing, I'd rather catch up with some TV watching and reading... I made the mistake of giving the Gina Ford book to DH, and he's really started getting into it, freaking me out talking about routines and how to top up the breastfeeding with bottle feeding etc! I was going to go for a 'let's see what happens and go with the flow approach', taking different things from different books - so I better make sure DH reads some other books, too.

Sorry for not name-checking, this thread is too active! What's everyone got planned for this week then? Relaxing is top of my list, for sure!

Richt, better go and have a cup of raspberry leaf tea...
