CANT, I feel for you, it's a really topugh piositon to be in. My dh has bouts of depression and takes to his bed/retreats emotionally. It's one thing kniowing you should be sympatetic, but another kleeping your temper when the kids are screaming and he's in bed at 2pm on a Saturday afternoon. Hopefully the ADs should kick in soon, though be warned it can take some time to get the dosage right. Good luck! Oh and thanks for birthday wisehes, though is dd1 not ds Grin - 10 today!
KAYZ, thanks for the reassurance about heart beat. Had been worrying a bit liek you did that something was wrong, but other than hearing the placenta even my google-obsession can't detect an issue. She did say that the heart rate was 128 up to 145 which she said showed 'good variability', and she wasn't worried - just me! Good going on the potty training - that's great!

Kayzr · 27/07/2011 14:11

Cant, that sounds like a horrible situation for you all. I imagine half of you wants to moan at him to help you but the other half just wants him to be better. I hope he's feeling much better soon.

I've just been looking at what fertilty friend is predicting for my cycle. It looks like the first time I have a chance of getting pg is the start of October due to DP being away from work. It's so annoying.

GingerbreadGiraffe · 28/07/2011 07:02

Morning Grin

Cant- sorry to hear your DH is not well. I hope the meds kick in soon and he is feeling better.

Kayz- hooray for another plan of homebirth. I will too, although I also had a big baby last time so hope that doesnt exclude me from HB in the future.

Hi everyone else.

Kayzr · 28/07/2011 08:32

Can't - sorry to hear about your DH. Hope the meds kick in soon - must be very tough to see someone you love change like that. Remember - he's still in there!
Diege - sorry for posting and then not being around earlier in the week. I don't know how to do private messages on here, but if you want to inbox me on FB with your address, I'll get the trunks posted asap - glad for them to have a good home Grin
Just having a short break at work - best get back to it!

Diege · 29/07/2011 14:27

Hi! Star have messaged you with my address (I think...) Thanks again - will mean ds is sorted for his holidays!
Kay hope you're feeling better today x
Hi Tinks how are things?

tinkbig · 30/07/2011 15:45

hi diege - good thanks - havin a good wknd with my parents

Kayzr · 02/08/2011 08:10

Morning

Cant Hope you are ok and your DH is a bit better.

AF has buggered off so I suppose now we had better GOF lots. But I don't expect it will happen this cycle as fertility friend predicts I'll ovulate on the 14th and DP will be going back to work around the 10th so not looking good.

Hope everyone is ok.

Diege · 02/08/2011 13:27

Hello! KAYZ you never know if you have a good sesh on day 10 that might do the trick, esp if you ovulate a day or 2 earlier than predicted. At least you are actively trying now and I'm sure will get a bfp pretty soon, despite dh's work getting in the way!
Hi TINKS, nice to have parents over for ther weekend - makes it all seem easier somehow!
Well, I am the proud owner of a Phil and Teds Grin. Got it off e-bay for £300 (second hand) which includes raincovers, newborn cocoon, cosytoes, pannier, windshield etc etc. Very pleased as it looks great and the seller was kind enough to bring over to the house for free. I have also bought 2 new buggysnuggles to tart it up a bit, and very impressed with how easy it is to push. Also got a M&P moses basket, stand and bedding, as our trusty basket rotted in the cellar Blush. I think you would be proud of me TINKS Grin
Hope everyone is ok - oh and STAR have messaged you, but thanks so much for the shorts (arrived today). How is dd getting along?

Kayzr · 02/08/2011 13:39

Diege ignore my awful memory but do you know what sex the baby is? I'm sure you've said but I can't remember.

Diege · 02/08/2011 14:42

Yes we did find out and it's boy! Smile

Kayzr · 02/08/2011 14:59

Diege · 02/08/2011 15:30

Hee hee, I do like my even numbers...Grin. No, 5 is it for me, don't think my 41 year old body could take any more if I'm honest!

Moosy · 02/08/2011 22:43

Diege, which model did you get, is it the dash?

Diege · 03/08/2011 09:28

Hi MOOSY! You know I had no idea which model it was until it arrived Blush (but I suspected it wasn't the dodgy one you mentioned Wink). Turns out it's the E3, which I think was a precurser to the Sport? I am sooo pleased with it - it's navy blue and looks great with the spice (orange) coloured buggy snuggles I've bought for it. It's a shame I will have to use my pilko pramette too (I'm assuming the P&Ts would look a bit odd being pushed around with a newborn in the back with no child in front, so will need a single pram for newborn).
I can certainly see how people can get addicted to pram buying!
Off to playbarn today with dds and one of their friends. No doubt it will be hell on earth, but at least they are 'contained', and after a few hours we can go home Grin Sod's law the sun is out for the first time since saturday!
Hope everyone is ok and having a good week Smile

Kayzr · 04/08/2011 07:39

My fertility monitor is giving me a high reading today. I'm only on cd7 as was expecting it to stay low until next week.

GingerbreadGiraffe · 04/08/2011 12:31

Kayz

Maybe you are ready to for GOF!

What is the fertility monitor? sounds like good gadget.

Moosy · 04/08/2011 13:30

Diege, that's the one I've got, it's quite an old model but they do still sell the explorer which is pretty much the same, just a different name. You can use it with just a little baby in, take the toddler seat off the front so it's just a reclined seat. With the cocoon in it will look fine.

Kayz, are you ttcing this month or next? If it's this month then it sounds like you're good to go! How's the smoking-quitting going?

Can't, I hope you DH is getting better now. My DH had a similar thing a few years ago - he was diagnosed depressed and given ADs but didn't want to take them so as he knew that work was the problem, he quit his job and went self employed. I don't know what your DH does for a living, but if his job's the cause of the stress/depression is there any way he could change the situation or is he trapped?

Kayzr · 04/08/2011 13:30

It's the clearblue one. It's about £60 but they are always on eBay cheaper. We are in Brighton for a weekend so will make use of being child free.

tinkbig · 04/08/2011 16:41

diege sounds gd

good luck kay

Diege · 04/08/2011 16:47

Hello! Sounds like it's gof time then KAYZ Grin. I feel tired even writing it down...I'm Blush to say that poor dh has been deprived since the bfp...
MOOS thanks for the P&T info' - will try out the newborn position without toddler seat. I do have the Pilko to use too, but our utility room is fast becoming a pram garage!
Hi TINKS, GING, hope you're ok Smile

Kayzr · 04/08/2011 18:12

Well we weren't going to ttc this month originally. But we gof last night thinking it'd still be low and not any chance so now I think we are going for it anyway.

Quitting smoking is very on and off. I smoke about half of what I used too now. But I've decided tomorrow is quit day so fingers crossed.

GruffaloSoldier · 04/08/2011 21:16

Hi there everyone-

Sorry have been AWOL again. Lots going on as usual. DH on 6 week holidays so we are doing lots of stuff which is great but also tiring!

Diege- I have the new explorer for DS1 and DS2 and do use the main seat for little baby with the cocoon without toddler seat which is fine. It does look a bit strange but Im not that bothered. Also just a word of warning - not sure if its just this latest model but I find when DS 1 is in toddler seat on top if I have to keep an eye on DS2's legs as they can get a bit squashed! I have the car seat adapter which works really well and DS1 just hops in and out of seat at the bottom when he gets tired. However, not all models can do this but I find it really useful.

Kayz - how exciting re ttc! :)

CANT - sorry about DH I hope things get back on track for him soon!

Hello Ginger, Moosy, Tink, Star, Ses anyone else lurking...

Today we all went to Basingstoke shopping - first major shopping trip with all of us and it was CHAOS! I got some nice bits from H&M for me and GC and DH got quite a bit too. When I got home I ordered an Ipad 2 - can't wait for it to arrive.

Its rather unfortunate that retail therapy is the only thing that is working for me at the mo Grin

I am still very up and down after losing my Mum but I think its quite natural. I have a long way to go yet.

Hope everyone is having nice a nice evening!
