I had the old maxi cosi one for ds1 and used it again for ds2, can't remember what it was called now. I have the cabriofix this time as it came with my pushchair. I believe it is the Which No1 1st stage car seat so should be pretty good. I was certainly very happy with my old one, easy to use/fit etc and handy storage pocket in the back!! Also had maxi cosi Priori xp as 2nd stage car seat for both boys and very happy with that too.

Fab123 · 29/03/2011 21:17

Yes thanks - feeling much better after my epic sleep. Think painting the shed and ticking it off the To Do list has helped.

Oooh Emelia was on my list too - I like Silent Witness. Also had Lottie, Nadia and Annabelle on there and I think that was it. Good luck picking one. A friend suggested Orla the other day which I quite liked too. I had the same thing where you want it to be special - hence Otillie (I'm a little bit of a Francophile Blush).

I'm also looking to get a Cabrio so interested to hear all about them!

buttonmoon78 · 29/03/2011 21:20

I love Emilia! It was my girl name! Not Florence though. Reminds me of Florence and the Machine. Not a good connotation in my book!

Too late Pesha - I've got my lovely Loola now. Well, nearly anyway. I will have it when DH can pick it up!

DH likes Levi for a boy. I like it too but I like Luke more. I suspect it will end up Levi though as DH usually gets last call on names. A lot of people find that odd but he kind of adopted it as his job with dd1 and TBH, I rarely disagree with any of his choices!

Pesha · 29/03/2011 21:20

Oh, should add that the Which rating is only when combined with the isofix base, not sure what it gets without the base but I think the main reasion the base increases the rating is because it makes it easier to fit correctly, not because it is safer once it is fitted correctly iyswim?

buttonmoon78 · 29/03/2011 21:23

Thanks for Cabrio reviews people. I got the Windoo a few weeks ago Nic. It was absolutely immaculate. The description implied it had been used but mainly in the house and once or twice out. When I collected, it turned out that it had been used once or twice in the house and never out!

BTW, I keep calling you Nic. Do you mind? I'd hate for you to be sitting there gnashing your teeth if it's a pet hate of yours!

nicolamumof3 · 29/03/2011 21:32

no button, everyone calls me nic thats fine. Its Nicky that i don't like or get called anymore Smile

hilltop666 · 29/03/2011 21:35

Good to have someone so close to my date pesha everyone else seems to be well into July- have u much of a bump then?? I was small for ages but mine really started to show about 4 wks ago but is growing at a crazy rate now!

looking forward to going to 3rd trimester!! Wink

Pesha · 29/03/2011 21:36

Button thats interesting, my dp has pretty much chosen the names of both boys so far, obvioulsy I liked them and agreed but they were his choices really and it took me a while to get used to them. DD was my choice but she has a different dad and I never would have trusted his choices!!

Nicola - I love Luka and was very keen on it for ds2 but dp said no.

My dd is Maia (pronounced like the month of May, much debate on MN as to whether thats correct or not but I don't care, thats what she is!!), and boys are Nathan and Dylan. But atm I am struggling to get dp to even really talk about names nevermind think of any. He has suggested Cameron and Noah which his mum suggested to him, she wanted ds2 to be cameron too, but I always think of that annoying bloke from neighbours who had a thing with annalise [old]. And as much as I like Noah its just not for my child if that makes any sense at all, I'm not a Noah sort of person!

Pesha · 29/03/2011 21:43

My bump is huge!! Although the tubigrip I have for my hips does squish it in a little bit! Even I can't believe I've still got 3 months left! But this #4 and my tummy muscles are virtually non existant so its not a big surprise TBH.

I'm not sure why my face needs to look pregnant though Hmm

Can't quite believe I'm nearly at 3rd trimester already, this year is really flying by.

hilltop666 · 29/03/2011 22:07

Well I feel huge but everyone says im not but i really can't see it - but this is my first so im sure that helps. I've got a little kicker been going crazy since 17wks - its driving me mental!!

Anyone bought a m&p Sola- we put a deposit on one and I can't wait to get the LO into it! Grin

nicolamumof3 · 29/03/2011 22:09

i love the look of the sola hilltop, what colour? i was in dp the other week looking at bedding.

Pesha your dc's names are lovely. Im finding it hard this time too.

hilltop666 · 29/03/2011 22:30

Haven't actually picked they colour they said I can do that just before its delivered was thinking truffle so it would do both but have only seen in on internet so really need to c it in the shop as I dont want it to be too brown and yucky, but see a denim one online which might be nice too rather than boring black.

buttonmoon78 · 29/03/2011 22:31

Bugger. I think ds has threadworms Sad He's wriggling around and not even thinking about sleep. I thought I had some stuff in but it seems I was wrong.

Off to the pharmacy first thing!

buttonmoon78 · 29/03/2011 22:32

If it's the truffle they used to do on the luna then it's nice. A sort of charcoal grey. My friend had one and it was v stylish.

nicolamumof3 · 29/03/2011 23:04

truffle is kind of purply brown i'd say. Deffo unisex, out the two tho i saw the denim the other week and that is lovely!!

oh no button, thats one ailment we seem to have avoided...to date!

buttonmoon78 · 30/03/2011 07:15

Def threadworms. Ds was still awake and crying gone midnight and saw some of the beasties on a couple of occasions. It's totally hideous and means a full scale clean down.

Just when I feel like death too. Didn't get to sleep until nearly 2 and as I'd left ds in my bed I had him whinging and crying in his sleep all night.

Then at about 3 I had to dash to the loo as I was sick (think it was just acid) and getting out of bed so fast wrenched my pelvis nicely so am v sore today.

And now have a major headache. But too worried to take paracetamol as my stomach still feels well gippy and I don't want to put anything in which is going to hurt coming out - just about managing weak tea at the moment. I have to say at this point that I am almost phobic about being sick.

Think plans for today are going to have to wait. Will have to get to pharmacy on the way back from school and then go back to bed.

SpannerPants · 30/03/2011 08:30

Hope you can sort him out quickly Button - that must be grim when you're feeling rubbish!

I've got a maxicosi cabriofix in a really nice soft denim/khaki, along with the isofix base, I wanted something really easy to get in and out of the car and that seems to tick the boxes. It seems huge though and it's quite heavy even without the baby!

I feel huge but this week people have been telling me that I have a "neat bump" - better than last week when they were saying it seemed to be growing in front of their eyes!

As for names, we're thinking Charlie (after my dad), George (DP family name) or possibly Oliver. I love Maia Pesha - that was the only name we could agree on if it was a girl! It's so pretty.

maddyer · 30/03/2011 08:46

I had the Luna in truffle for last baby and it was nearly black! most people couldn't tell it wasn't black! I have got a second hand bugaboo gecko this time and can't stop staing at it! have always wanted a proper pram and this time (prob last baby) I got one! the hood was a bit fadded and found these people on Fb called poshbugs who customise buggys make new hoods liners etc but they were very expensive! so I stole there idea and made my own! it is fab so so happy with it! button my ds had that at xmas time horrendous! we all had swine flue at the time so the effort to sort him out was epic! hope you manage ok and he's all clear real soon! I have picked Travis for a boy and dh has picked Lexie for a girl but we'll see! my ds1 is Ethan(8) and ds2 is Harry(2)

buttonmoon78 · 30/03/2011 09:22

And just to top it off I've just been rude to someone in the playground. And sworn at her. To be fair, she deserved it. Conversation went like this:

Her: I've just heard you're having a 4th? Are you a total glutton for punishment?
Me: I guess I must be.
Her: Was it planned?
Me: Yes, thanks.
Her: Well, I think you're mad.
Me: (beginning to get a little wound up) No, I'm just happy.
Her: Seriously, I think you're mad.
Me:
Her: If I got pregnant now I'd terminate.
Me:
Her: Did your husband plan it too? I bet he's not happy about it. It's not normal to have so many children.
Me: Fuck off. If you're normal, then I'm glad I'm not.

inbetweener · 30/03/2011 09:35

OH.MY.GOD......button that is SO SO rude. Im so glad you put her in her place. I thought I had encountered some sarcasm about how I will "cope" and where we are all going " to fit " etc but thats disgusting. Good for you xx
Oh and as for the worms, my eldest DD had them last week Sad my wash basket still hasnt caught up after the huge deep clean we did. I dosed up the whole family, apart from me obviously and hopefully thats the end of it.

So, sorry I havent been on for a bit. Im 23+6 today Grin so im looking forward to the 24 week milestone tommorrow ! I still really need to get organised though, I havent really sorted anything !

Had a horrible weekend as my wonderful, lovely cat was killed by a car on sunday morning and we are all so upset. He has left such a gap. Poor DH is devestated. Sounds silly I know to be so upset about a cat but I really do miss him Sad

lovely suggestions of names on here. We cant decide at all !! After 2 girls having to pick a boys name is just weird Grin. I still cant get over it you know. ME !! a mum to a boy lol !!

Right I have a day off today after a very late night at the Royal Albert Hall watching DD1 perform and sing so I am off to bed for an hour to catch up Blush poor kids are at school. Guilt anyone !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pesha · 30/03/2011 09:52

Oh Button, I think I love you!! Thats the sort of thing I would think about saying but more than likely wouldn't and then spend the entire rest of the week day wishing I had!
I was once chatting to a mum at the school when another mum came over and started talking about how she had given 'Miss opinionated' (I realised after that she was referring to a friend of mine) a piece of her mind and then finished her rant by saying 'at least all my kids have the same dad' Shock Right in front of me, knowing full well that actually mine don't and to my shame I just stood there and said nothing, I was so shocked and in my defence she walked off a few seconds later. But I'm still mad at myself for not saying anything!
I hope you manage to get rid of the threadworms, that is one thing we have managed to avoid so far and I dread it, partly because they're bleurgh but mostly because of the deep clean of the entire house that is required to get rid of them, my house is so messy cluttered upstairs that it would be an absolute nightmare. I hope the sleep helps and the sickness and headache don't last.
I am off to bed soon too myself, been awake since I heard dp leave for work at 5 this morning and hadn't gone to sleep till gone 12.

Maddyer - I really like Ethan but much too similar to Nathan, I also like Harry but dp says no. He says no to most things TBh Hmm

I made the mistake of taking trousers off standing up last night and did a sort of slightly sideways step which sent a searing pain shooting up the middle of my pubic bone and it has been twinging quite a bit on the school run this morning. Hoping I haven't done anything too bad.

nicolamumof3 · 30/03/2011 11:58

button im so bloody angry on your behalf the rudeness of some people defies belief honestly. I have encountered this so many times. I now reply, "yes and we are trying for fifth straight after this one is born". Usually shuts them up Grin

I hope you feel better button take it easy its the best way, like i had to yesterday. I feel so so so much better today its amazing relief. Just going to make me and ds3 some yummy lunch then off to take him to nursery and me to midwife.

buttonmoon78 · 30/03/2011 12:54

Oof. That's better. Slept solidly from 9.30 til now apart from when my neighbour came to the door to see if I was ok (I must truly have looked like shit this morning!). She was being v kind so I couldn't be rude, depsite the fact I had been sound asleep. If it hadn't been for the dog barking I don't think I'd have noticed. Certainly didn't notice the 3 missed calls on the phone!

Anyway, still feeling fragile but a bit better so must do a bit of work now. And I'm hungry Grin which has got to mean I'm feeling better!

Thanks for being full of righteous indignation on my behalf, guys. Normally I can't get my words out when I'm really angry like that and fail to say what I want to, thinking of the right thing hours later, but this time the gods were smiling on me I think. Some people are just plain rude and I can't imagine how she has a DH or friends at all!

Inbetweener sorry about your cat. I must admit, I used to think 'get over it - it's an animal'. Then we got our dog 2 years ago. I'm still not soppy like some people - it's an animal after all, but I truly love him and I miss him when we're on holiday. He really is part of the family! So I understand how you feel about your cat. I think DH would be devastated too if anything happened to the mutt. It's his buddy - they wrestle together and everything!

Hoping DH will be picking up my Loola tonight on his way home from work. Yay!

buttonmoon78 · 30/03/2011 12:57

Oh, forgot to say yesterday - this will make you all laugh...

In school, we've started a new book about a Hindu family. I madethemistakeand said I'd got a sari at home as some of the kids had never seen one (we've not got a large Hindu population round here). So the teacher asked if I'd bring it in. Of course, I said yes, thinking I could put it on some of the older girls.

No - she wants me to wear it! Can you imagine my belly in a sari?! Good job it's adjust to fit...
