Fab123 · 28/03/2011 12:24

Heehee Twit, i've done exactly the same with MN and eBay. Also bit miffed that I bought a bundle for £6 only to have it arrive and it's all a size 8 and not nearly as nice as I had thought. It's going back on eBay as soon as I can be arsed take pics.

Fucktards is my fave too. Also the expression "Eeek, pass me the eye bleach!". I feel like that sometimes watching that head ping out with such force on OBEM at the intro...

Handyman is 30mins late and runs a severe risk of being garotted when (if he does) arrive. 'Spesh now the sun has peeked through the clouds here! I think a nice long walk is in order if he doesn't make it in the next 10mins. Men! Wink

Twit · 28/03/2011 12:34

ooh lots of cross posts Grin
Pesha that was me forgetting what week I am. hahaha
Aw, lots of poorly DC's, I hope it all gets sorted so you can carry on with things, it's not anything any of you did or didn't do, just one of those things.
I have had no offers of gifts/help or anything. People have either laughed or pretty much ignored it (the pregnancy). And me natch. In fact my mum and Step dad are currently thinking about moving to Greece. Grin
Hi Lynzi! I told the (locum) MW I wasn't getting on her couch because of my back - she tried to convince me it was necessary to measure me, I pointed out that I was 25(so I'm 26?27?weeks?) weeks and she gave up (her eyes widened though). Listened to the heartbeat from below with me stood up.

UPDATE: Have won the jacket

Twit · 28/03/2011 12:37

Fab that's why it was only £6...? Grin

And I have decided on fuckturd Wink As in that handy man is a right fuckturd for being late.

buttonmoon78 · 28/03/2011 12:47

It was me too Twit. It's a losing battle I'm fighting!

I had white linen trews last summer. And they're in the cupboard for another year so they can't be that high maintenance, right?

Ordered some in black however, from Next on Friday. Looking forward to picking them up tomorrow.

buttonmoon78 · 28/03/2011 12:48

Oh, yes and it's OBEM night tonight! I have more mint choc chip ice cream at the ready. And no DH as he's away so I can cry without hiding it Grin

Twit · 28/03/2011 13:01

I won't watch OBEM. Too scary.
I might give up and order some from next TBH, all this shall I shan't I only to lose isn't for me Wink
Although saying that I was VIP'd to the next online sale so was able to order some sale stuff early and am currently awaiting a parcel or several. (I try to order ready for the next year etc so not that bad of me).
And a snuggle chair for me so there's an extra seat.

I still need a pushchair, carseat, crib/moses basket and a rocker seat for downstairs (the type with a hard reclining back so LO can sleep in it). And some toiletries. I can feel myself going into denial again.

buttonmoon78 · 28/03/2011 13:02

Oh bollocks to the lot of it. I'm handing in my notice before I leave today. I won't get SMP anyway as I've not been here long enough. I'm sick and tired of my prude of a boss averting his eyes from the evidence that I've (shock, horror) had sex. My unmentionable varicose vein is throbbing in a way it has not at all over the weekend. The chair I have is crap for my back so I've just buckled and taken my first proper painkiller. And I'm fed up of being questioned when I put extra time down that HE asks me to do. And that's because he's so disorganised that there's nothing for me to do all day - hence the MN - but shed loads just before I need to leave.

I'm fed up of pretending everything's just peachy. It's not. It's shite. And for 10 silly hours a week I truly don't get paid enough to deal with this.

So there. Rant over.

Fab123 · 28/03/2011 13:17

Button I feel for you - I walked from my last job when it became clear that the guys downstairs were doing nothing, raking in thousands in commission and putting all of the clients through to me to deal with (my commission was a measley £7 per file!) and then my bosses had to go to the MD to try to get me the raise that the MD himself had said I would get at my interview after 3 months of working, at my yearly review. He denied ever saying it so, despite me having the best figures in the country and their profit nearly trebling whilst I was there I decided enough was enough and I wasn't going to be dogsbody. Wrote the MD a polite email before leaving thanking him for the opportunity and I hoped that the profits continued to peak as they had done since I had been appointed. They have since had to sack 1 person and 2 have walked out due to high workload and apparently are having the worst year on record Grin

Sometimes you need to stand up for yourself. It can feel remarkably good. (Spesh if you aren't going to get the benefits from not being there long 'nuff).

And yes, I will listen to my own advice now and stop being such a girl about Mr Fucktard. I'm marching out into the sunshine too Button!

buttonmoon78 · 28/03/2011 13:26

Wahey! Ladies of July unite!

DH feeling a little like you do about the job he lost in Nov. Apparently his boss has lost 3 stone since DH left as he had failed to realise how much work he did! When they downloaded the last 6 months emails, it filled over a dozen discs. Suckered!

Not said anything yet but am going to today. Feeling better just for having made the decision!

Twit · 28/03/2011 13:28

Hurrah!
DO it, what a load of fuckturds there are about.

Am off into the garden now with DS3.

buttonmoon78 · 28/03/2011 13:33

Envy me? No.

Much.

nicolamumof3 · 28/03/2011 14:40

oooh afternoon ladies we've been a chatty bunce this afternoon Grin

well i walked up to docs with ds2 and 3 all uphill and on their scooters. We have abandoned ds3's pushchair now as i was struggling pushing him in it. He's not really that big at all still in 2-3yr clothing but at 3.5yr feel need to out him now while weather good and before baby arrives. Well it was a struggle rushing there i can tell you. I had a stitch and felt sick and we were 10mins late. DS2 has impetigo, he has a day off school he's overjoyed Grin

Currently he's upstairs on our bed with dh watching how to train a dragon wrapped up in my dream genii pillow Hmm

Dropped ds3 at nursery came home made lunch then did big sainsbo's shop im waddling good and proper now, can barely walk at all normally these days i've done too much so a bit of mn can't help before i go for my pedicure!!

Pesha im so sorry your dd has been treated like that by her father it makes you feel so sad for them doesn't it? I split with ex-h in 2000 when ds1 was 15m old it was traumatic to say the list. He was a shit dad too. But the split eventually was the making of him. DS1 continues to be his only child he's amazed that i've gone on to have 'so many' as he puts it!! But he is very much involved with Tom, despite me not agreeing with lots of the ways he does things he's remarried and settled and all is as good as can be expected i think. I remarried in in 2009, after the birth of ds2 and 3 naughty girl that i am!

buttonmoon78 · 28/03/2011 14:43

Oo you loose woman Nic. I think I'll be joining you in the great SPD whinge soon. I'm getting so much more movement, esp of the audible sort Sad

Oh well, the sun is shining, my washing will be dry and blown crease free in the wind so no ironing again. Got spicy pasta for tea followed by ice cream and OBEM.

And a whole night in bed with no DH wrinkling up my clean sheets Wink

And lots of loolas to watch on ebay Grin

nicolamumof3 · 28/03/2011 15:12

sounds like a good evening to me button, yep last OBEM tonight boohoo.

i just got up to answer phone...rang off before i could make i refuse to rush, im sure i might (sure/might?!) have a hernia it really pulls and feels uncomfortable in certain positions. I certain can't rush getting up. MW on wednesday tho. Remember that hard lump that took me to the hospital few weeks back? its getting bigger!!

SpannerPants · 28/03/2011 18:00

I'm loving the use of fuckturds ladies, seems to fairly represent the arseholes involved!

I think I'm developing SPD as well as my back giving up, I feel really sore at the front now, like I've been riding a horse! I'm hoping the osteopath can work her wonders tomorrow....

I've got my 25week appointment with the midwife on Wednesday, I've suddenly realised I need to sort out my maternity pay this week and I have no idea where to start Confused I'm meant to be repaying £1800 of tax this year so I need to ring the tax office and see if they can give me a bit longer to pay it over or I'll be completely skint once I'm on maternity leave - I hate being the main earner!

But on the plus side, the house is completely redecorated, the kitchen is being fitted and the carpets are coming on Friday - and DP is taking me out for dinner as we have no cooking facilities and I'm sick of takeaway!

Twit · 28/03/2011 18:06

OOh that sounds nice. We put new cupboards up in our kitchen and now have a tidy clean kitchen (unless you count the floor) 'cos I can reach it without bending over or crouching. Everywhere else is a shithole TBH. It's embarrassing.
I have checked my notes and am 26 +6 weeks (27 tomorrow) I think. Hang on it is Monday today isn't it..?

scarthy1975 · 28/03/2011 19:24

Evening all.

Sorry to hear your stories pesha and fab but at least we've got a great new word out of it 'fuckturd' is ace - can you apply for words to be put into the english dictionery?? Meaning would be name for useless and waste of space ex partners!!

Finding baby is moving lots at the moment but all very low down. Part of me hopes he/she will be breeched and at least that will solve the c section/vbac dilemma i'm in at the mo.

Finally started thinking about buying for the baby now and bought all the accessories from the ziggy and friends range at Next. twit I completely forgot about the vip sale - registered and then didn't think about it again until next morning. Took advantage of the spring sale earlier though and bought a lovely dress for a wedding i'm going to in April for £15 - bargain!! Button i've also got the black linen trousers and can't wait to wear them when weather is a little better.

Lets hope the rest of the week is better than the start for some x

Lynzilove · 28/03/2011 20:36

Good grief, ladies all this stree is surely not good - although at least your getting it out on her I spose!

I have found that beign pregnant is the ideal time to speak your mind and be a bit more of a cowbag without having to worry!

Pesha, that iphone app is babybump - its brilliant, i like reading the weekly info on how big he is etc. DP gets an update every thursday morning as to what size is unborn son is compared to fruit and veg - this week - corn!!

buttonmoon78 · 28/03/2011 20:45

That's hilarious! I've visions of your DP going round Tesco eyeing up the strawberries, then the avocados, then the funsize bananas... I'm easily pleased Grin

Well, I'm off to bed as soon as OBEM is over. I tried to have a nice relaxing bath but ds was not yet asleep so it lasted 17 minutes - wow. He's really kicking off about bedtimes at the moment but as he's deaf I'm trying hard not to get too cross. Roll on next Tuesday when his op is to replace his grommets!

Have a good evening!

Eglu · 28/03/2011 20:56

the baby update on i-village.co.uk also does fruit and veg. My baby is a cantaloupe melon this week. Grin

DS2 is still not well. I have my fingers crossed for no vomiting tonight. DH has been great getting up with him, but I'm not sleeping anyway and feel exhausted. Everyone keeps telling me to take him to the Drs but I hate wasting my time going to the dr to be told it's a virus and them not doing anything. If it continues tonight I will probably take him tomorrow though.

Hoping I can stay awake for OBEM tonight as I'm so exhausted.

nicolamumof3 · 28/03/2011 21:10

OBEM time! Fab.

im exhausted too i couldn't get back to sleep after dh left at 5am this morning.

I am loving next maternity trousers they are short leg so wearing with my converse which i can only just about bend down to do up atm then with flip flops later. So so comfy the linen ones i mean. I lived in the white ones last time round.

I think my lump is probably a hernia now, i can't believe they never suggested this at the hospital as after looking up on google (as you do!) im convinced thats what it is. Not too bad unless i do too much or sit up from a particular position.

I have bought so many baby clothes now! I think the novelty of pink is to blame tbh. Just looking for some plain cotton cardi's now to go over sleepsuits.

Want2bSupermum · 28/03/2011 21:38

Hello everyone. Sorry to hear things are not good with work Button. I have also worked for crappy bosses and HATE being given work just before I am due to finish for the day.

I called in sick today which is something I never do. I have been feeling rather dizzy when up and about. The baby isn't moving around as much either. The obn put me on bed rest for today and they are going to check me again tomorrow. They were surprised that I didn't go to the ER over the weekend but I didn't want to make a fuss. I think my blood pressure is up because I have been working 70hr weeks since January. That doesn't include all the driving and studying I have also been squeezing in.

Have to admit that was really tough not to work today as I have so much to do. I hate American television and there is only so many accounting papers that one can read. I am 99% sure everything will be fine tomorrow and I will be back at work (with reduced hours).

highheelsandequations · 28/03/2011 21:45

Exhausting day, dance festival after work so on my feet till 8.30pm, not good. Think my feet and legs are starting to get swollen but hoping that they'll go back down if I don't have another 12 hour day!

Plus got told today that one of the kids in one of my classes has chicken pox, so have to phone MW tomorrow to check all should be okay. Had chicken pox when I was little so hopefully it's fine but work say I should get it checked.

Lynzilove · 28/03/2011 22:30

High heels - sure it'll be fine but when I got shingles a few years ago which is the grown up chicken pox I was told to go nowhere near pregnant women or children. Always best to check with me though. I'm crap at stuff like that. I'd worry for a few minutes, think about checking then forget amd go about my day as normal!

I have discovered I'm really bad a being pregnant! I have the odd glass of wine, the only food I've given up is pate, I run up and down stairs, carry heavy bags. dot even think twice about carrying boxes and stuff! It's only when people jump up and down or offer to do stuff for me I remember I'm actually 6 months pregnant!! I'd still be kickboxing if I didn't honk I as ruining my partners work out!!

Lynzilove · 28/03/2011 22:32

*think I was ruining my partners work out!! Goddamn typing on iPhone!
