Of course you can join Chesire :) I am impressed that your DH is also pg Grin

I'm due 15th Oct so quite close. We told MIL yesterday, she was not impressed either, oh well.

It does seem like a long wait, but you will be glad of it.

PunkyBubba · 04/04/2011 19:20

Also had my scan today, and everything was fine. I haven't posted in a while as I had really managed to work myself up into a panic the last few weeks after reading up on the internet about 'partially septate uterus' and seeing things linked with it like 'recurrent miscarriages' and very premature labour as the baby runs out of room..

I asked the sonographer today about it, and she said if I hadnt told her I had a septate uterus she would not have been able to tell as baby has basically just pushed it out of the way, and the uterus is stretching as it should. I also called the midwife when I got home to tell her what was said and she has also helped put my mind at rest... so now think its all starting to sink in that its all ok (fingers crossed)!

The little 'tinker' as the sonographer kept calling him/her would not lie in the right way for the nuchal measurement though.. It didnt matter how much she made me jiggle my hips around (much to the amusement of DP as my jeans were lowered for the scan and so did nothing to hide my modesty at that point), or the food and fizzy drinks I was sent away to eat.. All in all we were there for 2 hours and she only got one measurement which she said "would have to do" though not ideal. I also had the blood test so we should get the results soon. New EDD is 14th Oct..

Am very happy everyone's scans went well today :-)

Good luck tomorrow rebel

Well I had success with the doctors and they have given me some anti-sickness tablets, which even after just two seem to be doing the trick! Actually managed to eat a proper meal for tea this evening and even did a bit of housework wen I got home from work this arvo! Am so glad the doctor took pity on me and gave me something, think it persuaded her wen I walked into her office and burst into tears before I'd even sat in the chair! Oh well it did the trick even if I was a bit embarrassed! Blush edwardoreric I know exactly what u mean about cbeebies, luckily ds is really into star wars at the mo so he is pretty happy watching that hundreds of times over (is driving me mad tho). I hope Ur gp sorts u out with something to help u wen u next see them! Xxx

dannid :)

chocolatehobnobs · 05/04/2011 08:10

Good luck rebel! Hope scan is lovely for you
I am rebelling today. Have taken sick leave as have been really tired and having dizzy spells. Lost 5 lb now. Have to admit its quite lovely pottering around at home though. At least I will have recovered by thursday when I start 4 13 hour long day shifts!

MamaMaiasaura · 05/04/2011 09:28

Still lurking here. Am feeling similar to alot of you, almost constant nausea and tired doesn't even come close. Feeling guilty for my little 3 year old as mummy just rubbish at mo. Am around 10+5 weeks and have dating/nt on the 14th. Not made public news yet, just very close family. Tho my mother decided to blab to some people grrr. Just don't want to share as after m/c and also that best friend had sad experiences, want to wait.

I'm going to ask to be tested for parvovirus immunity as my friend caught it a d baby died at 16 weeks :( my little one starts preschool in May and I'm so paranoid about it.

Agree re NT too, the result won't make me want amnio or change anything, just want to see baby.

I'm sorry that I'm not good at updating on here.
X

Crawling · 05/04/2011 09:50

Awen I know how much worry it can cause (as they thought I had caught it at 13weeks as Ds had it) try to remember that as it is in season now it is unlikely to be still around in May and most people are immune. Also if you are very worried and dont have immunity it is not as dangerous after 20weeks so you could hold DS back untill you are 20weeks.

MamaMaiasaura · 05/04/2011 09:58

Crawling - thanks. I'd never heard of it till what happened to my friend. I'm seeing dr today as ds2 is spotty and will mention it them. Not sure about delaying preschool as already delayed it alot so don't know if they'll hold his place (had one snce sept and long waiting list) glad u were ok and didn't have it. Surprises me how there isn't a check for immunity like there is for rubella.

becks130 · 05/04/2011 10:59

Hi all,

Can I join?? I'm due 22nd Oct with my 3rd and my dating scan is booked for Friday morning.

I have had two horrible pregnancies so everything is crossed that this one is good as my dd is only 14 months and a real handful Hmm

apples82 · 05/04/2011 12:11

Had my scan today, it was amazing. Little bean is 6cm long.

My EDD hasn't changed for the stats thread, i'm still 17th October, so currently 12+1. Smile

Bluetinkerbell · 05/04/2011 12:14

yay for your little bean Apples

rebelwithoutababy · 05/04/2011 12:22

Unbelievable! Was on tube on way to work this am with a badge on saying "baby on board" so commuters get that they might want to offer me their seat...not only was it completely ignored by several men, none of whom had any reason to be seated, but another, more pregnant woman then got on, and I offered her the seat that had just been vacated by a man getting off, we then ended up arguing between us about who needed it more, all whilst everyone else in the carriage ignored the two pregnant women trying to work out who needed the one seat more!!!! people are sooo rude!!! Angry

rebelwithoutababy · 05/04/2011 12:24

oooh, apples our posts just crossed: congrats on your lovely scan!!! Was thinking of you as I knew we both had scans today. So pleased yours went well...three hours til mine....xx

elgoldenflower · 05/04/2011 12:51

Hi all,

Not posted for a while as I've been mega busy. I'm 10+6 today. Lovely to hear of exciting scans. My 1st scan isn't until 18th when I'll be 12+5 which feels ages away so I'm very envious of you all. Envy

Meanwhile the MS has been full on (probably due to the above mentioned busy times) but rescued somewhat by fizzy water which I usually loathe. My bloat belly is growing and my hip pains are getting worse (I have physio clinic on 21st as I'm not supposed to have these problems in first tri - what a joke - I'd like them to have a listen to my clicking hips and see me attempt to get my leg over my bike!!).

Anyway we've told a couple more people as I went to visit my Dad last week and he went round telling the whole village (nice that he's proud) so it felt awful to still be keeping it a secret from close friends. DP's Mum has been really lovely and gave me a 'you're going to be a mummy' card - extra special as my own Mum died when I was young. We're still not completely public so roll on the scan and fingers crossed for a healthy bubba.

BabCNesbitt · 05/04/2011 13:04

Can I ask when those who have bumps started showing? I'm 10+6 today (snap, elgoldenflower! :) ) and no sign of anything yet - I'm starting to worry that it's not growing properly or something like that... Irrational, I suppose!

(And hello to the new folks on the bus :) )

elgoldenflower · 05/04/2011 13:53

Hi BabC Smile

I started showing with bloat only really early on and it's getting worse. When I feel around the flab and bloat there's no solid baby bump yet, just that my tummy's a bit pushed out by a couple of inches only. Been reading up and we're supposed to 'pop out' (when uterus pops out from behind pelvic bone) around 12 weeks. As this hasn't happened to me I'm hoping it means I'm not having twins as the thought is quite overwhelming but I guess we'll see.

Hope that helps.

Also hello to the newbies

apples82 · 05/04/2011 14:17

ooh rebelwithoutababy let us know once you've had your scan!!!! Smile

apples82 · 05/04/2011 14:18

BabCNesbitt my bump seems to have come on overnight. I'm 12+1 and I swear it has popped out overnight!Smile

mpops · 05/04/2011 16:02

Lovely news about your scan, apples. Woo! rebel, all the best for yours! Let us know how it goes.

happymummytobe · 05/04/2011 16:04

apples - We have the same dd! I have my scan on Thursday morning and can't wait. I'm impressed that your bean is 6cm - that seems amazing!

Haven't posted for a while as have been moving house and life in chaos. Very excited about my scan but not 100% sure what it'll involve. I know they will do the nuchal fold measurements but not sure what else they check or how long I can expect to be at the hospital.

Trying not to worry but it's tough isn't it?! Hmm

My nausea has calmed down and I have more energy now (although I'm very happily in bed by 9am). But my emotions have gone into overdrive which is tough on DH!

Amazing to think that this bus is heading for the second trimester - when is that anyway...? 13 weeks?

xxx

Crawling · 05/04/2011 16:20

Anyone still being sick in after 13weeks?

PenguinArmy · 05/04/2011 16:32

becks My DD is 13months so similar ages. She still wakes up at least 3 times a night (normally more).

I've also noticed that my milk supply is now dropping, which I think is actually helping DD's sleep as she knows there's not much point in waking. As a result we've had 3 and 4 hour blocks of sleep this week.

I suddenly didn't feel pg until this week. I have a little tummy (permanently look like I've just had a massive meal) and a bit nauseous and heartburn. I've had 6 weeks of having to do 2 x 12-14 hr days (plus regular other 3) but that's over now so maybe it's because I can afford to relax. FWIW I was a mess in the 1T of my last pg, extreme fatigue.

No maternity jeans just yet, but I had just got to the point where I was very happy with my figure post DD, so am mourning the loss the little bit and want to get my money's worth out of these clothes Grin Damn MAP failure

PenguinArmy · 05/04/2011 16:33

sorry that was all about me Blush I'm at work and quite bored as stuck in the X-ray room today (not people, samples)

BabCNesbitt · 05/04/2011 17:45

Thanks for the replies, apples and elgoldenflower :) Definitely got the bloated belly going on here, but I assumed that was because I've been stuffing my face with crap for the last 6 weeks...

PenguinArmy · 05/04/2011 18:00

I have had terrible munchies. Yesterday I ate a big bar of chocolate, a clif bar and a bag of crisps in addition to my 3 meals. Up to this week I hadn't put on any weight.
