Am I the first? I can't see another November thread.

Ok, my stats, I am 32, have 1 dd (2.1) and edd is 03/11/2011.

I had a mc at Christmas but feel ok about this pregnancy, though I only found out 3 days ago so I may get a bit more panicked as time passes.

Anyone else want to join me in a November baby thread?

Oh Cep, really sorry to hear that Sad fingers crossed for you that its just a big blip and things settle for you.

Welcome Martha and congratulations!
Good luck catching up on the thread, I've been lost since it started! Grin

just tried getting onto fertility friend through your link Truffkin and its told me I can't register Sad
Love getting progress emails and such! Will have to look elsewhere now...

Today the super sensitive nose kicked in Sad, I feel rotten, everything smells horrid. Can't open the bin cos its making me wretch.
On the plus side, at least DH isn't here for the next 7weeks so I don't have to sniff his smelly feet constantly! Grin

cep · 16/03/2011 11:57

hi all,

dirge i don't know. if the 8 week was set up with the epu for bleeding reasons and they told you to come back then i would expect you to have a 12 week scan as well.

marthamay welcome and congratulations.

I realised that i have only been getting the blood (touch wood) after my fmu, is it just me or is that weird. I wondered maybe about a uti so i called drs and uti to dr over the phone, mentioned that i only seem to get this blood after fmu. he's sending off some urine and giving me some antibiotics (just incase as it were) should take 3 days for results to come back. (although last time they did a diptest in office and showed infection so don't know why have to send off this time.) They can then change antibiotics if needed.

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 16/03/2011 12:35

Truffkin don't forget for a cold you can take paracetamol. Just make sure it's paracetamol only as alot of tablets these days contain caffein/aspirin.
I also use Forehead, which gives great relief if you get bad sinuses (I do!)

Righton I shall be picking your brains nearer the time as I had a c-section with DD and I really want a VBAC and no induction. Just want to labour naturally. I'm not great at standing up to the medical profession, so may need some tips.

My biggest problem is blood pressure. It was slightly raised during DD's pregnancy and I was on low dose tablets throughout. There were no signs of pre-eclampsia at all but it made the drs v jittery so they induced.
My problem is that I have a bit of 'white coat' syndrome. When I'm relaxed, my bp is fine but at appts it shoots up due to nerves. I simply can't help it, despite everyone saying 'just relax'. Arrgghh.

I also feel my medication last time prevented my milk from coming in so I was unable to feed DD, which broke my heart. Despite doing some research on the matter, my drs insisted there was no link. T'internet showed research in USA showed otherwise..... how do you fight the HCPs?

WuzzAndBuddy · 16/03/2011 12:36

Hope you're right Cep, fingers crossed its just an infection that can be cleared up quickly x

rightontime · 16/03/2011 12:46

I know what my dates are due to only having sex once so can be 100% although not sure how quickly the sperm gets to the egg Hmm lol

You are right, a dating scan should iron any questions out (assuming they are right)does everyone get dating scan. I know we do where I am but had an idea that some people only get a 20 week scan.

I will wait for labour to start naturally. Just seems like everything is a fight sometimes with our HCP's

Loup23 · 16/03/2011 12:54

Morning all, have now spoken to the dr who has confirmed my hcg is way too low at 148 yesterday (6+2) and with all the bleeding etc it is definitely a miscarriage. I am waiting for her to call back with an appt at the EPU to make sure there's not ectopic etc. So that's me off the November stats. I really do wish all you ladies the best of luck and hope that there's lots of bundles of joy in November 2010 - will be thinking of you all and keeping everything crossed that I'm not too far behind you....

x

rightontime · 16/03/2011 12:57

Sorry I crossed posts with everyone as I was getting DS2 to sleep.

Cep FX that you are right and it is sorted quickly.

Truffkin Having a snotty nose comes with being pregnant sometimes. It certainly does with me. But if you have a cold a great tip I got for here when I was PG with DS2 was squeeze 2 pieces of orange into a cup and leave the pieces in. Add a spoonful of sugar and hot water and drink (when cool enough). Don't know if it worked or not but I enjoyed it anyway.

MrsA pick away. I just knew what I wanted and made it clear to everyone. The fact that I never considered another CS seemed to make them just go along with it. Luckily I was only 9days OD with DS2 so wasn't an issue with being induced in the end. They will try and pop your waters to induce labour first but your cervix needs to allow that and it doesn't always work especially if they are not letting you go over due to BP. With regards to blood pressure not sure if you are aware but if you take while they are taking it it will be higher. Only my GP ever told me this. The MW don't seem to realise.

rightontime · 16/03/2011 12:59

Sorry loup Best of luck for the future though honey.

MrsA I meant if you TALK while they take blood pressure it is higher.

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 16/03/2011 13:04

Oh Loup :(
So sorry. Take care.

Truffkin · 16/03/2011 13:08

Cep really hoping you have found the cause of your bleeding and everything settles down for you now FX

Thanks MrsA and if it gets bad I will take some paracetamol but I think as I normally go for the nurofen it doesn't tend to touch me! I also love Forehead sticks and use them for headaches, so will carry on with that.

Wuzz maybe try this link to my charts and then click through using the 'pregnancy tracker' link on the left hand side. If you chose the 'register now for free' option when it asks you to log in, you should be able to create a new account. There is also Baby Centre where you can register for email updates each week too if you like that sort of thing.

I forgot to say that I joined the Boots baby club yesterday so I get double points on baby stuff whenever I shop there! I buy baby wipes and baby powder already but didn't realise the points count for pregancy tests as well! I should have joined ages ago and I'd be rolling in advantage card points Grin

Hello All,

Having been reading your posts for a few days but too scared to post myself!! I had a bfp on Tuesday.

I am 4+4 with my second child, I have DD who is 2 next month. We had IUI (same as last time).

I am really really tired and have metallic taste in mouth. I have also had dull pain in my right groin since last night, is that normal??

Feel really nervous, thought I would be better second time round but clearly still neurotic!!

Congrats to everyone else

Loup - so sorry to hear your news

cep - keeping everything crossed for you

Truffkin · 16/03/2011 13:10

So sorry Loup and my cross post was badly timed. Hope you are getting as much support and love as you need at the moment (((hugs)))

cep · 16/03/2011 13:27

loup am so sorry to hear that. if you need to chat there's a group of ladies on herewho are fabulous. Wish you all the best for the future.

welcome hopeful and congratulations.

WuzzAndBuddy · 16/03/2011 13:46

Oh Loup, sorry you've had such rubbish news. Hope the future brings good things for you xx

Thanks for that Truffkin, it worked that time!

Stuck home waiting for DH to call today, any one fancy putting a bet on what time he'll call? My guess is about 4.30 when its too late for me to go into town!

chipmonkey · 16/03/2011 14:20

Loup so very sorry.Sad Don't give up hope, hopefully you'll have another BFP before long.

cep that is the sort of think I get when I have cystitis, so Fx it is a UTI and nothing at all to do with the pregnancy.

Hey marthamay welcome to the November bus!Grin

Well, I vomited four times before breakfast so Envy to anyone who can actually get up at 5.30 and run! mind you, I've never done that when I'm not pregnant either.

Had a meeting about ds2 up in the school, about making the transition from primary to secondary. I am so annoyed! We are in Ireland and 2 years ago I got a letter from the school to say he no longer had to learn Irish, normally a compulsory subject. Had been assessed by an EdPsych and given an exemption. Well, he was rubbish at Irish so it did make sense to me and in fact, it was a relief because he simply couldn't manage the language ( He has SENS) NOW it transpires that the exemption was given, not to ds2, but to a child in the year below with the same name and ds2 WILL have to do Irish in secondary school, despite not having studied it for the last 2 years! I am so Angry that they didn't at least make sure it was the right child before sending out the letter! He will be so stressed out at the thought of it.Sad

cep · 16/03/2011 14:32

chip that's awful. how can they change thier minds after 2 years of not studying it? Does this other child have problems?? can you appeal the decision?

rightontime · 16/03/2011 14:47

I think I would try an appeal too chip No idea at the system there but that is not on at all.

pod3030 · 16/03/2011 14:53

(((loup)))

chipmonkey · 16/03/2011 14:58

Well, the EdPscyh that was there today, pointed out that because ds2 is in the top centiles for English, we can't argue that he should have an Irish exemption. Apparently to get one you have to present as dyslexic which he isn't, he has dyspraxia. His resource teacher has him for 40 minutes a day, mainly to work on motor skills but now, she is going to have to spend the time catching up on Irish.

I will try to appeal it but it doesn't look like I'll get very far as the error was the school's

Secondary school person that was there said they don't stream them in Irish in first year so he will be in a class of mixed ability students aiming for higher level. After that there is foundation level Irish which is way easier but they don't get to that till second year.

The new government here have plans to make Irish non-compulsory so I am hoping they will be good to their word.

cep · 16/03/2011 15:05

I would have thought if it was their error, would give you even more reason to appeal. It was a decision you agreed with at the time and it would be cruel to try and make him catch up after 2 yrs not doing it.

WuzzAndBuddy · 16/03/2011 15:09

Oh Chip, thats so unfair! Your poor DS, starting secondary school is hard enough without extra worries!
Hope they manage to do something to help him.

rightontime · 16/03/2011 15:26

I think I would argue that as he is using that time to work on his motor skills it is not fair that he should be catching up on something he was not expecting to do. If doing Irish is going to mean he doesn't have so much time working on his dyspraxia than surely that is an argument in itself?

goldmaple · 16/03/2011 15:37

lizzy I feel very light headed a lot of the time too.

pod I have been waking up earlier than usual and being very alert. I was like that when I was younger but for the past 7 years I've had to drag myself out of bed in the morning... very odd

truffkin welcome! I recognize you fromanother thread I think... not sure which? I got the baby bump app but I'm not that imressed with it. it has daily info tidbits and will track weight/measurements but not much else.

Welcome martha, deliah and hopeful

chip really isn't fair that they would make your DS catch up on 2 years!! when it was their fault! I hope they are reasonable and you can work something out.

cep really hope that the pink was from a UTI and nothing to do with your bean.

loup so sorry you are leaving us. FX for you that you will have a sticky BFP very soon!

bumpsnowjustplump · 16/03/2011 15:44

loup so so sorry.. Sad

Well I dont know what to think, sickness has totally gone today. I have been ultra hungry and a little giddy but no sickness.. What is going on???

On a plus note our new mattress is here yay.. early night for me tonight lol

I have my dr appointment and dating scan on friday, I will be 7 weeks so fingers crossed we see a hb.

suziechan · 16/03/2011 15:58
