Am I the first? I can't see another November thread.

Ok, my stats, I am 32, have 1 dd (2.1) and edd is 03/11/2011.

I had a mc at Christmas but feel ok about this pregnancy, though I only found out 3 days ago so I may get a bit more panicked as time passes.

Anyone else want to join me in a November baby thread?

cep · 15/03/2011 07:22

i've had bit more blood this morning, not bright red but a bit redder than pink. so am caving and calling dr this morning to ask for a scan.

deemented · 15/03/2011 07:49

Oh cep, will be thinking of you my lovely.

I'm 6 weeks today, and MS is here with a vengance. We haven't told our DC's that we're having another baby yet, and don't intend to for a while, but it's getting very difficult to hide the fact that i'm being sick from my DS2, whos 6. Last time manshape told him i'd eaten too much chocolate the night before (!) and thats what caused me to be ill. So this morning, after i was ill DS said to me... 'You've been eating too much chocolate again, haven't you? You know mammy, too much chocolate really isn't good for you and you should lay off it a bit' Grin

rightontime · 15/03/2011 08:07

cep i do hope that you get a scan quickly and it shows everything is progressing normally for you. I will be thinking of you.

deemented lol at your DS. They always know best don't they.

I kept a bowl of cheerios by the bed last night and ate some everytime I woke up and I actually don't feel too bad this morning. The worst thing is blowing my nose. It makes me want to puke. Confused

Made a huge mistake this morning. Thought it would be a good idea to cleanse, tone, moisturise. NO my face started burning and I had to go wash it all off. I hate my stupidly sensitive skin when PG. Hmm

Anyway. I am putting of the school run so really should get a move on.

Loup thinking of you too today honey. x

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 15/03/2011 08:08

Oh Cep I'm thinking of you. Fingers and toes crossed. Was looking forward to getting to know you as we sound similar.

Ochaye that's amazing, you being a doula. Tell me, why do women become doulas? It can't be for the money and it doesn't fit well with having a job I guess, due to unpredictability of labour!
I had a very complex, medicalised delivery with DD that ended with an emergency c-section. This time I am determined to have a natural birth with just gas&air and hope that having a doula present will help me fend off the doctors. Any tips from you about getting one?

Off to London on the train today ladies. Not a good traveller so spending most of the journey feeling sick!

busyboysmum · 15/03/2011 08:12

Oh Cep so sorry to hear that - will be keeping everything crossed for you.

We haven't told our dcs yet and luckily I've never suffered from MS. I think it's cos I just have boys and we are sure this is another one.

Hello to all the new people - wow there's loads of us!

Have a good day everyone

Smile
KnitterInTheNW · 15/03/2011 08:15

Morning all!

Ochaye... Hello!! There must be something in the air, fancy 3 of us being here together! Anyone else??

And Hello to everyone else too of course Smile

I phoned the hospital yesterday to change my pre-conception clinic appt to an ante natal one, and was told I had to do it through the GP. So phoned them and got a cancellation for the same day, I was shocked as we normally have to wait days to see a doc unless it's an emergency. Wheels in motion!

I'm struggling with my blood sugars already, they're really really high first thing in the morning despite everything I'm doing to try to remedy it. The one time you really need sugar levels to be ok, and pregnancy just makes them do odd things that make no sense!

The only symptoms I've got really are being very hungry and very tired, I'm only 4+2 though so fully expecting more in the next couple of weeks.

Lots of love to those who are having difficulties, I know what a heartbreaking time it is. x

clipclopclipclop · 15/03/2011 08:50

Morning everyone

Cep hope you get seen quickly, I bled on amd off during my first pregnancy, it's really worrying

Loup hope you are ok today

Hello to everyone else, hope you all have more energy than me! Taking my toddler to soft play this mornig in the hope that will tire her out!

Now this may be tmi, but I've got bad diarrhoea, had breakfast and felt sick but had a diarrhoea. Is this down to the pg??

bumpsnowjustplump · 15/03/2011 08:54

Morning all. I had horrific dreams about DD's and DS's birth last night. Both were so so bad and I thought I had got over them but seems not..

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 15/03/2011 09:19

Ooh clipclop you've reminded me. Nothing TMI btw.

I am feeling very queasy but no actual sickness. However, every morning when I get up I have to go to the loo for a No2 straight away and, whilst not 'the runs', it's probably the opposite of constipation! Not like me at all, so putting it down to hormones.

Am having a few wobbles about how we'll cope with 2 kids. DD will be 3 in Sept and won't get a pre-school place till Sept 2012. DP and I both with FT and I will go back to work after 10 months mat leave I reckon. So when I'm back to work with have to drop 10m old off at nursery and DD off at pre-school (or childdminders?) The school DD will go to doesn't have wraparound care, so expect 5 mornings a week will begin at 9.30.
Arrgghh - 2 drop offs and pick ups. How does everyone do it with more than one. Am worried now.

rightontime · 15/03/2011 09:45

Bumps can you get a debriefing from your hospital. They should be able to help you with some of your concerns. I would definitely speak to someone if it is still bothering you.

MrsA no help I am afraid as I switched to evening and weekend work after ds1 was born to alternate child care with DP. Should think I will go back after dc3.

WuzzAndBuddy · 15/03/2011 09:54

Morning all,

Loup, thinking of you today xx

Cep, hope you get seen quickly, keep us updated xx

MrsAR, wish I could help, its thinks like that that keep me awake at night!
I've been fretting about DS starting school in September and how I'm going to work drop offs and pick ups and then I found out I was pregnant and started fretting even more!
He starts in September so I'll only have 7ish weeks to find childcare for then I'll be on maternity leave and will have the year to fret about childcare for 2!
Could you not take both 10m old and DD to childminder? That way there would only be one drop off....?

chipmonkey · 15/03/2011 10:11

Good luck for today loup

You too, cep hope they see you quickly! Sorry this pg is so worrying for you.

Er, busyboysmum I have four boys and have been sick as a dog each time! That old wives tale needs to be knocked on the head!

cep · 15/03/2011 10:26

loup sorry meant to say good luck for today.

pod3030 · 15/03/2011 10:27

cep hope all goes well xxx
morning all,
bit of tiredness yesterday afternoon and today. It was a struggle walking home up the hill yesterday. This morning put my jacket on to leave for work to find the cat had wee'd on it.Angry he's been acting strange around me for a while. wonder if he knows.

pod3030 · 15/03/2011 10:28

loup thinking of you xxx

TerrysNo2 · 15/03/2011 10:39

cep thinking of you and hoping your scan goes well.

DirgeInVegas · 15/03/2011 10:41

Oh Cep I am so sorry but good to get it checked out. Will keep an eye out for you today and fingers crossed that everything is fine.

Terrys will also be looking out for your scan news today. Hope everything is going well.

MrsA I have decided not to return to work after mat leave for exactly those reasons. It's so hard to juggle working with children, not to mention the cost of childcare for two! I already teach at weekends so I plan to increase that and be with the kids in the day. It's terrifying me though, the thought of actually leaving the security of a salary and just work for myself .

However, I imagine we'll work it out. DD will be 3 next January but we have her on a waiting list for pre-school and she will start in just before her birthday. It will give me a bit of time to catch up on sleep and be with the baby.

I think Wuzzys suggestion of childminder might be one solution? Our childminder used to take kids for breakfast and then do the school run, dropping the older ones at school and nursery. Perhaps that's an option?

Woodifer · 15/03/2011 10:48

oh loup and cep - thinking of you both

felt a bit queasy when i woke up - but managed to quell it with weetabix

then - riding to the station this morning got a nosebleed (but couldn't stop as i would miss the train) - so was riding one handed holding my nose and sniffing a bit

i have started pooing on waking too - i am putting this down to sheer volume of food i am eating

had another disturbed night - having a wee and not really getting back to sleep, then having really vivid dreams.

lol at "eating too much chocolate"

also impressed by the psychic powers of little children out there :)

busyboysmum · 15/03/2011 12:08

Woodifer I am the same - am having terribly vivid dreams.

I suffer from REM Disorder and usually self-medicate with melatonin. However obviously have come off this for the pregnancy and am having terrible nights as a result. My problem is that I act out my dreams, my hubby is terrified I am going to fall down the stairs one night as I get out of bed and wander about!

I think I am going to speak to the midwife when I see her on Friday and ask if there is anything I can do about it.

Anyone else feel really hungry but don't actually fancy anything? Am having real problems deciding what to eat that is healthy.

Chipmonkey you poor thing, I honestly thought it was girls that made you sicker, mainly from RL experience so what a bummer for you. Have you had any sickness with this pregnancy so far?

Smile
TerrysNo2 · 15/03/2011 12:36

busyboysmum I never ever know what to eat anymore, I could literally walk around all day not knowing. BUt I am feeling so sick if I don't eat regularly. I have eaten some blueberry cake at 9.30am and chocolate cake at 11am (ok, not healthy but it was someone's birthday!) and I feel so sick and hungry now as I haven't eaten for an hour!!

KnitterInTheNW · 15/03/2011 12:54

I think I was really lucky when I was pg with DS, even though I got the nauseous when hungry thing a lot, I was never actually sick. And that's a good thing because I hate being sick! Well... I suppose no one actually likes it do they, so what a silly thing to say. Sorry!

I was doing weightwatchers for a month before I got my BFP, and I'm trying to keep eating the same kind of things that I have been, just more of them really and not counting points. I'm having those breakfast biscuits for breakfast, easy to eat. Today I had a wrap with houmous and salad for lunch. I'm making the most of being able to eat good for you things before the aversions kick in!

Loup23 · 15/03/2011 13:04

Morning ladies, thanks for all your supportive messages. Some of your stories have made me giggle which is great!

The dr has taken blood for HcG as the blleding had stopped, but it's back.... I have another blood test thursday to see if the levels are rising and that's all they can do at the moment. Fx but I think I'm bleeding too much for there to be any hope.

Cep hoping the dr is able to refer you fort a scan. Thinking of you.

Good luck to all x

DirgeInVegas · 15/03/2011 13:05

Can't they scan you Loup?

OP posts:
bumpsnowjustplump · 15/03/2011 13:17

Oh loup you poor thing, can they not do an early scan. Sending you lots of sticky vibes for your little bean. Lets hope everything is ok and its a false alarm.

Cep and terry how are things with you.

Still feeling really sick and tired but not actually being sick. I just wish i was and maybe i would feel better.

I am going to discuss my problems with my midwife when I get there in a few weeks. See what she suggests.
