Am I the first? I can't see another November thread.

Ok, my stats, I am 32, have 1 dd (2.1) and edd is 03/11/2011.

I had a mc at Christmas but feel ok about this pregnancy, though I only found out 3 days ago so I may get a bit more panicked as time passes.

Anyone else want to join me in a November baby thread?

Crikey its been quiet in here today!
Just got home from work, I'm having half an hour peace before going to pick DS up from nursery.
Been a loooong day!

Definitely LK, always around for a chat, bit of a dab hand at this forces-wife malarky now, 9years..... Confused
Was just going to ask how today went but its not happened yet has it!? Wishing the day away now... would love it to be bedtime!

Congratulations Daiso, welcome to the thread! I'm taking pregnacare aswell but its your choice, my friend took tesco own brand folic acid, I think thats enough really but its nice to get a good dose of vitamins anyway! Grin

Morning and congratulations to newcomers. I'm on No2 but as has been said, it's just as excitinmg 2nd time round (at least I know DD wasn't a fluke!)

My boobs have finally started to ache and my watermelon craving has properly begun :)

I think I've decided onm my hospital. There are no maternity units nr us sadly (in NE Wales), so it's hone or hospital.
I don't think they'll support a home birth so I'm changing my hospital from last time and going for Wrexham.
Going to book GP appt for tomorrow.

Hope all ok. cep great news about no blood today :)

welcome daiso congratulations. It's up to you, some take the pregnacare (i don't) i'm taking vit d which is a new recommendation to help their bone strength. don't worry about asking wrong things, we discuss everything on here, so ask away. Grin

deemented he has, we went from him using nothing, to having main light on (dimmer switch) to a torch that goes into a stand and becomes a nightlight. to a brighter nightlight. He just seems to be getting scared, when he was younger we used to have really bad nights with him (about a yr ago) i used to occasionally sit in with him during the early hours (still no light on though), and he got used to it so every time he woke up he'd tell me to sit down, and scream harder when i wouldn't. i just don't want to get into that. i may move his b/side light to the dresser so it takes away the shadows in that area, that's where he seems to be afraid of. Am going to go chat with the hv later at the clinic, although it's the baby one have just phoned they said it was fine. I'm going to get a sleep trainer clock as well hopefully that might help a bit.

Loup and Delilah really sorry Sad Fingers x'd for you for next time.

Hi Daiso, CONGRATULATIONS!!!! It's very exciting. I'm on #2 and it's just as exciting if not more. Have you told anyone yet?

I'm in the same boat, very early days so am not going to get tooooo excited for the next week or so. I got my BFP yesterday but then of course had to test again this morning just to be sure - BFP again and stronger line! My EDD is 25th NOV.
I took pregnacare throughout my first pregnancy and have continued taking it sporadically throughout BF my son. I'm sure you could do it cheaper but I found it comforting knowing that in one tablet I was getting all the recommended stuff, especially as all I wanted to eat last pregnancy was pancakes and sausage rolls Shock.

Timing is good for me. I finish my course next week, DS has one more month of nursery before he comes back home to me full time so I will get one month of long naps and sleeping in in the morning!!!! So excited, a good start to a pregnancy me thinks. I'm still up with DS 3 times each night so will need to catch up somewhere once those tired hormones kick in.

I'm feeling ok just a bit crampy and very queasy throughout the day.

Hope everyone has a good day and gets some napping and day dreaming in! Smile

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask but what do i need to do now? Vitamin wise - am currently taking folic acid as i was during TTC but do i need more now?

Hello lovely ladies, thanks for your kind words. After a good nights sleep I'm feeling better. wuzz i loved your story, thats amazing! Fortunately DP isnt in a war zone, but still as youi well know its really difficult when he's away...will be coming to you for more advice I suspect - we're struggling with the whole MQ debate ...
So I promise to let you all know how it goes tonight, and huge luck to others with appts ......

Good luck, rightontime hope theappointment goes well.

Cep - Good news!! Does DS have a nightlight at all? My eldest is six and still has one of those touch lamp thingys on the lowest setting. I don't mind because it means he sleeps through and if he does wake then he knows where he is.

No chance of a nap for me today - once i've dropped DS at breakfast club it's home to tidy round a little as i've a bloke coming to fix the toilet as it's leaking. And i'm waiting on a phone call to find out how DSS's op went.

morning,

deemented i know that feeling up at 2 then at 3:45 saying he's scared so i caved and let him into bed with us. i don't know what to do about this fear thing, especially at that time of morning, am i supposed to go it with him again? If i do he's going to expect it everynight, i used to do that a long time ago and then he started demanding i sat down with him everytime he woke up and i don't want to get there again.

anyway on a good note no blood so far. Smile

rightontime · 17/03/2011 07:47

So sorry delilah Sad

deemented sounds like a rough night. Can you have a little nap later today?

I have my booking appt at Dr's this morning. Very exciting but a bit nervous too. Not sure why.

DP has never come to a booking appt with me. He generally comes to at least the 1st scan and all subsequent ones that he can. I remember last time being very cross that they wouldn't give me an afternoon appt for my 20 week scan like they did with the 12week one. Apparently the 20 week one take longer so the only do early appts. I was not a happy bunny as DH couldn't come. Angry

Delillah, hang in there! It is scary when you have a bleed but it doesn't mean it's all over.

lk Totally understandable. If you've had bad news before, it's likely you will be bracing yourself for more. Fx it will be excellent news!Smile

Report
ochaye · 16/03/2011 21:40

Loup and delillah - I'm so sorry to hear your sad news. I hope you have lots of support. And cep - it all sounds very optimistic that you've found the possible cause of your bleeding. Fx for you.

iktoday5 - I feel the same as you. I've miscarried twice at 6/7 weeks. I'm just about 6 weeks now and feeling a big achy tonight. Had a gush of fluid tonight and was terrified it was going to be blood. But it wasn't thankfully. The down side is, I remember having something similar shortly before I mc'd last time so I'm still a bit on edge.

Conversely I'm starting to feel a bit more pregnant now so maybe, just maybe ...

Welcome truffkin - so good to see you on here!

Thank you so much for that link to ebay dirge. I was in tears reading it. DH thought I'd lost it.

MrsArch - what made me want me to be a doula? The miracle of birth. I know that some women have a really awful time, and I just want to be able to help if I can, to help them have the birth they want - whether it's assisted, natural or whatever. I'm not a "mother earth it's all got to be natural type". Quite a lot of the doula's I've come across are. I just want women to get to the other side without being disappointed or blaming themselves for things they had no control over.

lktoday5 how interesting.... my DH is in the forces and is away til May.... what a coincidence eh!?
I know how you're feeling, bloody hard isn't it?

I found out I was pregnant a couple of weeks after DH went away in October, had a miscarriage in November, was so hard with him away, dealing with it all on my own and worrying about him out there Sad
Then he went back after R&R and I found out a couple of weeks later (last week) that I'm pregnant again! Grin
Twice in one tour, gotta be a record!? lol

Hope tomorrow goes well, will be thinking of you xx

I have to agree with you 3rdTime, its a lovely little corner to come to and vent isn't it!? Can't believe we're all on this journey to November, really hope we all make some good friends and share the ups and downs of the next 8ish months together!
