ledkr thanks alot for kind comments. I am planning on having an epidural - it's the only way I think I can get through it! So, assuming it works, I'm just worried about the bit before that as my friend was telling me she was in labour in hospital for 12 hours screaming for an epi before they gave it to her as they said she wasn'y far enough along
Come home from parentcraft class. Have to say though I don't really think I leaernt anything new [smug clued up emoticon] and I was by far the furthest along from anyone else there - they were all due in march /april so I felt like a whale in comparison and was the only on in joggers/top with food down it (didn't realise until got out of house - whoops) and slip on scruffy shoes as they are the only ones that go on my fat feet. I felt really
about what a state I must look compared to those in lovely mat outfits and full make up
I'm really suffering now though - had to leave 45 mins early as got in too much back pain/so exhausted. Is it normal to come home and feel so tired that your body aches like you've got the flu and you can barely move? I jumped straight in the bath and stayed there for over an hour as I could not get the energy to get out. I'm now in my pjs in bed and feel like I could sleep for Britain and have a killer headache. Please reassure me if this is normal as for me I had quite an exhausting day, especailly as I slept so badly and could barely stand up to make my breakfast this morning anyway.
Re: placenta - I'm asking not for injection for same reason as needto but was wondering after what they said in class today how much you have to push it out and how much it just sort of happens without you realising. Does it make a difference with the injection on that score?
suzy I saw some nice changing bags by Cath Kidston on ebay a while ago.
needto hope you feel better soon and the ribena does the trick. when I had a head cold I did steam inhalations 4 x a day and it really did help, as did calpol saline nose spray (suitable in pg). Not as good as the hard stuff like night nurse but better than nothing.
