Me too Curls - am driving myself crayzee with the symptom spotting.....back to where it all started, eh Grin

On the plus side is still 2 stone less than last time Score but I started a stone heavier - I was a real whopper with LC. Drs/Consultants are a real hit & miss, huh - this one sounds promising but must be pretty soul-destroying to be getting so much conflicting advice & opinion from the professionals

rocketleaf · 25/01/2011 20:37

god, score you do seem to have bad luck with your health care professionals. They seem to want to put you in pigeon holes you don't belong in Hmm Sucks about the migraine drugs, I really hope the new reflux drugs give you some relief from the headaches.

clucky sorry your stats seem to be on the high side :( hope its just a blip and everything goes back to normal asap. No early laying now, you are dead set for my birthday :o

boots and gaga I found12-16 weeks really tough as symptoms wane but you haven't heard heart beat or can feel kicks yet, the menkul never stops tho. Now I get shifty if Madam hasn't kicked me for a few hours. On that front it was lovely last night. She kicked really strongly 3 times just under my belly button and i felt it with my hand for the first time. :0 Is quite unusual as normally they are aimed at my bladder so cant be felt outside. Of course went totally still as soon as TB put his hand there.

And talking of dreams loz - I had my first weird baby dream the other night. I dreamt the first time TB gave her to me to hold I dropped her but she was ok. And I kept forgetting to support her head, she was half the size of a normal baby and was just a head with a translucent body and one large leg/ foot (no arms) I think that's because its all you can see on our 20 week scan pic. The weird thing was it wasn't weird iyswim, she was just ours regardless.

starnosemole · 25/01/2011 21:25

pssst; Older PESH- cockdodger hath appeared on Ancients of BooWoo fred

starnosemole · 25/01/2011 21:26

by older, I mean more longstanding, not just really old ones
As you were.

Scorpette · 25/01/2011 21:59

Gah, fell asleep sat up whilst reading - will have to watch BFGW on Ch4+1. What an old preggo gimmer Blush

Thanks, Rocky. Am used to medical peeps trying to pigeonhole me, as I have one of the most misdiagnosed/under-diagnosed conditions in the UK; basically poor adrenal function (don't want to write its fancy name in a public place, paranoid freak that I am). I end up having to explain what it is to every new medical person I meet, even consultants. Basically, they all seem under the illusion that you either have Addison's Disease (v serious, often terminal adrenal illness) or your adrenals are tiptop, which doesn't even make sense - for example, do people either have perfect blood sugar levels or they're going blind and having their legs amputated due to rampant diabetes?! And as it manifests as several small(ish) conditions like hypoglycaemia, chronic fatigue, allergies, etc., etc., all that confuses them further. Gah!

Sorry for boring mememe health waffle.

Chuffed for you that you've felt the kick from the outside. I can feel Me Laddo booting me about internally but nowt outside yet. Soon, soon... :)

HighPriestessBoo · 25/01/2011 22:02

I had a horrid baby dream once when I was diffed with smallboo. I was trying to breastfeed him but when I tried it was yellow like wee and I was afraid it would poison my baybee. Who only had one eye. It wasn't prophetic, luckily.

rocketleaf · 25/01/2011 22:15

Mmm sounds tres complex, score must be bloody tedious, makes you wonder why they bother keeping medical records non?

You will feel the kicks soon, think I was just in the right time at right place as haven't been able to feel anything since. I am also feeling very 'stretched' for the first time. Normal size meals make me feel like I have eaten 5 courses, not sure if this is to do with dodgy tum or running out of room in there or combo of both.

boo that sound horrid, eek. Glad to say mine was a bit WTF? but not a nightmare in that it was actually all good while happening in the dream. Only when i woke up did I think back and go Hmm

Scorpette · 25/01/2011 23:02

Love the new name, Boo... not so much the horrid dream Sad

I've had a couple of dreams where the baby is really small, like a rubbish doll, and I keep forgetting to check on it, interact with it, etc., like a 12 year old boy and a hamster he didn't really want. Must be 'useless mother paranoia'!

Rocket, medical crap is, well, crap but so long as they help me deliver The Lad well, all (or most) will be forgiven :)

HighPriestessBoo · 25/01/2011 23:26

The erotic dreams I had second trimester were much more fun. Had that at all? By all accounts it's very common.

Also dreams of giving birth to strange objects and shizz, especially towards the end.

Yes, am happy with the name change - less likely to be outed too as the old one is a known nickname pour moi in RL.

Medee · 26/01/2011 08:18

I had a very horny dream a few nights ago, but last night's was v. strange; one of my oldest mates had another baby, and the present I took them was a new Yellow Pages (for my area, not hers) and two blue bath scrunchy sponge things. Hope nobody gets me either of those gifts!

Medee · 26/01/2011 08:52

Just spotted these [bsmile]

Anyway, I'm off for the next three days, so see you all soon. I wonder if Chocho and/or Kate will have popped by the time I am back...

rocketleaf · 26/01/2011 08:55

:o medee

Had proper alien belly moment earlier! Boing!!! :o:o:o

rocketleaf · 26/01/2011 09:21

x post meds have a lovely time!

Backinthebox · 26/01/2011 10:06

Med, Cluck better hadn't. I'm away for the weekend and supposed to be on Little Chick duty when she pops.

Muser · 26/01/2011 10:40

I am getting the weirdest sensations at the moment. I think it's Bob moving down, but it feels weird. And makes me want to pee a lot.

I have also just taken delivery of this: Skip Hop Pronto Changing Station It came highly recommended by a few friends who swear by it. And has the advantage of being chuckable in any bag I happen to be carrying.

OP posts:
ChoChoSan · 26/01/2011 10:59

Oooh, I haven't got a portable changey thing, Muse, looks like the online shopping will run and run. I was hoping to get designer bag in sales to use as changing bag, but no such luck...just a lidl carrier bag for my baybee.

No queue jumping Clucky, unless it's for strictly medical reasons. Still ZERO indications of imminent laying going on here, sigh!

Scorpette · 26/01/2011 11:07

Have a fab time, Medee - 3 days of loveliness and possible new baybees to return to: top stuff :)

Might be adding Muse to that possible list what with her weird sensations Wink

Muser · 26/01/2011 11:23

I am not doing any queue jumping until 37 weeks. After that, Bob can arrive whenever. But before 37 weeks NO BABY.

OP posts:
CluckyKate · 26/01/2011 12:28

Well, if you're going to dilly-dally about I might have to Cho Wink

Zero indications here too - not engaged, waters & plug still intact, lots of movement from da baybee. Have got Osteopath, Reflexy Lady & Midwife all coming next Thurs to work their magic so will be focusing on relaxing between now and then Smile

Ocarina · 26/01/2011 13:06

Owlie I'm glad it's not just me who thinks I might have imagined the whole thing. I'm hoping the scan will help with that, but at the moment I keep thinking "a baby, in there, really?". It's most odd.

My contribution to the weird dreams the other night was one where some HR person had found out I'm diffed and was explaining to my team leader about mat leave. He just looked bemused and I was cross because it was too early to tell people. The fact that HR is non-existent in my job is beside the point.... I suspect this reflects sub conscious worry about telling work people and how it will all work out.

Talking of which, how long am I likely to be able to go before people start looking at my belly and wondering? I want to leave it another month and a bit (complicated reasons) but want to get in before any rumours start. I realise this is a bit of a how long is a piece of string question, but wonder what your experience was?

CurlyCasper · 26/01/2011 13:08

Good purchase muser. I have a skiphop too. For anyone else after a portable changing mat, I also have one from here You can have them hand made in your own choice of cloth, with other bags to match (I have quite a few, purchased on a pregnancy whim).

LadyGoneGaga · 26/01/2011 13:11

Depends on you/your shape/what you normally wear, Occy. I got away with it at work til about 18 weeks last time with judicious dressing although some may have had their suspicions. This time, despite resorting to baggy cardigans, people came out and asked me straight by 11 weeks. As a first timer you'll prob be able to hide it a bit longer. Long tunic tops are your friend!

Excitement for Cho and Kate - getting close!

rocketleaf · 26/01/2011 13:14

Lovely changers in both those links, katy and muse I am toying with the idea of making one myself if I can find fabric that I like.

owlbooty · 26/01/2011 13:54

You wait til you see it kicking about in there, Occy , tis truly bizarre. I am 12+3 and it's completely not visible, v.disappointing really. Only one person I work with has guessed and that was only because I stopped drinking tea (couldn't even stomach decaff). I don't want to tell anyone else til I absolutely have to so I know what you mean.

I do however have a fine selection of baggy drapey-fronted cardigans which I have deployed just in case.

Rocket you are a sewing machine goddess.

Meds have a fabulous time away from t'internet :)

Milano have I remembered right that you have NT scan today? If so, hope it goes well.

Ocarina · 26/01/2011 14:20

Hmmm, going to have to think about dressing options. Might require some imagination which I don't have when it comes to clothes. Oh well, hopefully I've got another few weeks before it's an issue.
