Thanks for the tips score unfortunately I can not stand goats milk or cheese, don't mind sheeps yogurt / feta but haven't tried the milk (and rarely see it sold). My sis recommended the lactose free milk, going to give it a go but if its anything like as unsuccessful as the soya latte I had today i think i'll stick to toast for breakfast! Hope you can find some solutions to your migraines, lovely.

What puzzles me about baby clothes is the inconsistency between 0-3 month sized clothes, some look mahoosive and some tiny. Spose its no different to the discrepancy between size 12s tho.

muse afternoon tea sounds wonderful, what a lovely treat! But don't forget to take a donut shaped cushion with you Wink

PollyPoo · 23/01/2011 22:54

My god, it has taken me about 3 days to catch up with you lot! Just a quicky as I'm off to bed but wanted to say a massive congrats to Occers! Bloody brilliant news, I am so excited for you!

Bitchslaps and tequila slammers for the rest of you. Grin

Muser · 24/01/2011 10:12

I just considered ironing baby clothes for half a second. I need to reconnect with my violent, booze drinking side before it's too late.

Scorps you might be heartened to know that I spotted my first stretchmarks yesterday in the Mothercare changing room mirror (obviously more truthful lighting that at home) ? a parallel trio of them near my belly button (which is still an inny for the time being.)

I?ve noticed that about clothing ? a JL 0-3 months appears to be the same size as a Mothercare Newborn. I was working roughly on the rule that 7-10lbs = newborn, and 10-14lbs = 0-3months, but as that doesn?t take account of actual length, who knows!

laurielou · 24/01/2011 10:31

Ironing baby clothes? Have an extra poke in the eye for that!

Scorp I'm so sorry the migraine has re-appeared. Pliz to issue slappage if I'm being daft, but do drucks need a build up to work properly? Could migraine have been brought on by mammouth sleeping patterns (which I imagine was a pure relief at the time?) I realise I'm prolly clutching at straws but trying to help.

If sinuses are a problem this exercise may not be for you, but in yoga "alternate nostril breathing" is meant to help with headaches of all sorts. It may be worth a go..........

Cho Glad you're having better luck with the drucks.

Rocket Good to hear you have a plan of action to try & help with your probs too.

Blimey, whoever said diffment is natural & beautiful needs a swift kick in the chuff Grin.

Though having said that, at the risk of being set upon, I'm feeling fab! Have now managed 5 days without sickness bands, so can start to wear pretty clothes that don't involve sleeves down to my knuckles. I am tired, but I think that's more to do with general laziness. Bug is having a regular little dance around now, but goes vay still when Mr Loz tries to cop a feel. I reckon we have a mummy's boy/girl on our hands, Mr Loz reckons he's just a calming influence (oh, if only you knew him, the irony in that statement Grin).

CurlyCasper · 24/01/2011 10:37

occars!!!!!!!1111!!!!!! Grin

Scorpette · 24/01/2011 11:12

Ironing baby clothes? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Behave yersen, Muse!

YAY for Lozza feeling lots better! About bloody time, too :) Now I can sexually harass you without any guilt Wink Gertcha best togs on and look as good as you feel. The Laad does the same as Bug - play hide and seek whenever TYF puts a hand on my bump. Mind you, he's freaked out by the thought of feeling him move/kick; because it's apparently 'weird' that there's a baby in there. Hmm Yes dear. What did you think was in there? Trapped wind? Mens!

Actually, at least half of it is trapped wind. My bum alone could provide free wind power for the whole of Northern Europe at the mo Blush

Cheers for worrying about me, Loz and I appreciate your suggestions I just spoke to my GP and have sorted out an appointment for tomorrow avo. I asked about the cumulative effect thing but she re-iterated what the consultant said, which was that it's supposed to work straight away with no build-up effect Sad Said it sounded like I'd reacted badly to it and agrees we should change my reflux meds, investigate physio and so on. Feel like I'm moving forward now, which is empowering.

That yoga breathing thing is a good idea, cheers. When my bloody cold goes and nose unblocks, am going to give it a try. BTW, I only slept for ages the first night I took the drucks, so don't think it was that. The Lad is much more active since I stopped, so that has cheered me up.

Medee, sorry about your stretchmarks. Don't wish 'em on anyone else (well, apart from size 8 preggo teens at the bus stop smoking and drinking WKD). Are you on Belly Button Watch too? Is fascinating to see it slowly getting shallower and shallower every week (although is weird for me because my lap scar has gone keloid)!

Great baby clothes maths, ta. For those having girls, it's never too early to get used to the headfuck of being a different size in every single bloody shop!

Scorpette · 24/01/2011 11:17

'The Laad'? He's learning Dutch already, ahem Blush

owlbooty · 24/01/2011 11:56

Sorry, what is this 'ironing' of which you speak?

Muse what on earth were you thinking?? Come here and let me rub my knuckles into your scalp affectionately.

rocketleaf · 24/01/2011 12:20

lozzer Sprout does exactly the same thing!! TB thinks she doesn't like him :D I just tell him she is bloody awkward like her parents ;-)

I am glad you are blooming. had a funny convo with one of my BFs the other day, they are shortly to start IVF and she was getting opinions on whether to implant 1 or 2. Obv I said it depends on how she feels about having twins and she said she was up for it but her hubbie was worried she might not 'enjoy her pregnancy' as much. You should have heard my hollow laughter Wink Actually I am feeling pretty good too apart from the obvious so that's good. Glad you are feeling more positive too score! Do hope you and GP can figure it out between you.

Ironing? Eh? I have a massive 6 month old pile of own clothes that I can't see getting ironed let alone baby clothes. Thats some strong nesting madness you've got going there muse :o

rocketleaf · 24/01/2011 12:22

Oh and I meant to ask, someone mentioned about having 2 bellys a few months ago. I am a bit gutted (and gutty) as I thought my pre diff spare tyre might get stretched out as bump grows but no, its like i have a belly attached to a belly. Its quite funny but not very attractive!! But no chance of my belly button disappearing for a while, which is good as thought of an outy makes me want to barf :o

Scorpette · 24/01/2011 13:48

Oooooh, Muse is getting her swish hairdo right now then trotting off for posh afternoon tea! She has the right idea - we could all do with planning some lovely treats for ourselves :) I'm going to book a lovely hour-long massage that comes to my home... as soon as I can work out where she could put her portable table!

Rocket, my lady-gut has merged with my bump which might be good, but I look significantly more preggo than I actually am! Confused

The Lad just kicked v strongly as I typed - I have taken it as a sign that he wants me to pamper myself rotten. What a thoughtful child Grin

rocketleaf · 24/01/2011 13:52

I have a lovely few days ramp up to my birthday. I am going for groupon hair do with head and shoulder massage on Friday with 2 friends, then we are going for food and films at our other friends. Then on my b'day having another groupon pamper, 1 hr mama mio massage plus pedicure and manicure & then lunch with BF. Very much looking forwatd to it!

Scorpette · 24/01/2011 13:58

However, he's not thoughtful enough to move off my bladder - I have had to have a wee every single hour since last night (made for fun sleeping). I last went 10 mins ago and am already busting Angry

Scorpette · 24/01/2011 14:02

All my groupon offers are shite - what am I doing wrong? All I get is discounts for nonsense, booze or weight loss treatments (fuck you very much, groupon, you body fascists!). Angry

Today's offer is for indoor golf. Yeah, magic Hmm

Scorpette · 24/01/2011 14:03

Or the offers are for places hours away. GRUMP.

LadyGoneGaga · 24/01/2011 14:11

All the treats sound gorgeous. We're going to Centre Parcs in March with the family and I think they do a Mum to Be Spa thing which is a massage and a mini-facial I thnk. As MrG is going to be buggering off hill walking and mountain biking I think I am owed a bit of me time!

Baby clothes sizes totally depend on what shape and size your baby is. MiniG could never get on with M&S clothes, drowned him as he is a tall, skinny type. He is better with either cheapo Primark type clothes or really expensive clothes as they seem to fit a bit smaller. This is even considering his enormous cloth nappied bottom Smile

Counted up earlier. I have 89 working days left to work before maternity leave. Not that I'm obsessing about it or anything! Grin

LadyGoneGaga · 24/01/2011 14:11

What is Groupon?

Scorpette · 24/01/2011 14:26

www.groupon.co.uk Should give you money-saving offers on nice stuff in your (nearest) city.

laurielou · 24/01/2011 14:29

Rocket Once again we seem to be the same person. I also thought my spare type would just be filled with baby goodness. Instead that has just scrunched itself into a spare type under my ample norks, then baby tummy is resting underneath. Honestly, my body resembles that there Welsh Mountains! It looks quite comical, but thankfully Mr Loz still found me attractive over t'weekend Blush

Uh, anyone else had the most intense orgasms in the history of the world in 2nd trimester? Why does Mother Nature torture us so? Why couldn't I have felt this manic when TTC? Now I have comedy mountain-belly I'm chasing Mr Loz around the bedroom like a Benny Hill sketch Smile.

I'm vay envious of Muse today. Sounds like a fab day she has lined up. Mmm, I'm going to count how many weeks I have left before mat leave starts......

laurielou · 24/01/2011 14:30

Yikes! 56 days to work! That can't be right

Medee · 24/01/2011 14:30

I have some pampering booked ? Mum and I are off to a spa hotel on Wednesday for 3 days/ 2 nights of bliss. I am having a pregnancy full body massage, a foot treatment (like a pedicure but without the nail polish bit) and a facial. Cannae wait!

laurielou · 24/01/2011 14:31

Apparently it is right. That's not very long, is it? Yippee!

Scorpette · 24/01/2011 14:38
Muser · 24/01/2011 14:42

Can I be clear. I did not iron any baby clothes. I just thought about it and then got a grip.

I have shiny, shiny hair. Having a friend with a v popular and good beauty blog is ace. Shiny hair that should stay looking fab for 12 weeks without endless straightening. And all for NO CASH. I iz a model innit.
