Hi

Still whispering the good news but is there anyone else out there wishing they had made the most of the Stilton this Christmas? [Wink]

Good luck to all of you with scans next week!

I'm utterly miserable. Stomach bug gone but nausea returns. Also really tired all the time. Lost half a stone but sure it will come back quickly. Back at work tomorrow and so not motivated with that at all. Really is the hard slog at the moment and roll on 25 feb when I have my twelve week scan and hopefully the end of this continuous sickness.

Sorry for the moan, just really hacked off with it all today. Early night I think.

yoshimigalloway · 31/01/2011 09:29

Hello,

I've been okay for the last week. I'm 6+4 and since last thursday have been feeling nauseous (sp?) last week i just felt sick b4 lunch, i was more or less okay over the weekend. (funny that, some link with going to work) But this morning feel awful, and really bloody tired.

I got a letter through from the midwife, I have to go to an appt at the Grange in Petersfield. It says it will be on the 18th feb, so i'll be nine weeks. It's not my booking in appt, it says it will be with other pregnant women to go through what to eat and not and other things like that.

Hope everyone else is doing well x

MandaHugNKiss · 31/01/2011 12:46

That sounds like a good initiative, yoshi - I always thought it odd that booking, generally, isn't until around 10 weeks and by then the fetus has gone through its most 'crucial' stage as far as development is concerned so shouldn't women be getting advice earlier than booking? I mean, plenty of savvy women will do their own research but I suspect a decent proportion of women wouldn't know there were things to avoid, or things you should increase let alone to research which is which.

Yup, DC4 belgina. We're both crazy, huh? I've been following you on another thread I've been lurking on - really hope everything turns out ok for you.

belgina · 31/01/2011 13:07

Thank you manda. Sadly my scan was bad news. The gestational sack and yolk sack are still exactly the same size as 2 weeks ago and it's officially a failed early pregnancy. All the bleeds I've been having are probably my body starting to gear up for a miscarriage. So I'm really unsure at the moment as to which way to go: wait and see or ERPC. DH wants the expectant management route, but I really don't know. They've given me a date for rescan in 2 weeks, in case I go for ERPC, but I can change my mind any time...

Misty9 · 31/01/2011 14:35

really sorry to hear that belgina, I had everything crossed for you :( look after yourself xx

greedychops · 31/01/2011 15:03

Sorry to hear that Belgina. I hope things go as smoothly as they can from now.

Anyone else feeling really spaced out? I am not feeling nauseous as such but just really fuggy headed (iykwim). Am pretty exhausted but meant to be working today (I work at home) and mil has taken the boys to play but I just can't concentrate. Feel like my. Head is blocked up. But I don't have time to not work so I'd better keep trying,

Flossish · 31/01/2011 15:59

Very sorry to hear your news Belgina. Thinking of you.

belgina · 31/01/2011 16:18

Thanks everyone. In my search for more info on ERPC I did find 2 other sept 11 threads. You're going to have to find a way to put them all together or it'll get really complicated in a few months time!

I wish everyone a lovely rest of your pregnancy and a great birth. All the best xx

greedychops · 31/01/2011 19:53

I have seen a couple of other September threads, but I don't know about the rest of you but I'm in no rush to amalgamate them as some of the ante natal threads move soooo fast when there are a lot of people on them. With my previous ante natal one, unless you were on everyday, it took half an hour to catch up on posts.

Maybe they will amalgamate naturally anyway.

Bit disappointed that there were no midwife appointments till 15th Feb. Will be nearly 11 weeks by then, so I just hope it doesn't mean my scan will be really late too. I always seem to get pregnant at busy times of the year Grin

ursigurke · 01/02/2011 13:52

belgina, I am really sorry for you. I wish you and your family all the best.

greedychops, I'll be 12 weeks at my booking appointment. And only then I will get a date for the scan.... In the leaflet they have sent me it says that you can have the dating scan until 19 weeks.... I'm sure I will have felt some movements by then Hmm. Well, to be fair, last time I got a scan within a week.

alibaba1980 · 01/02/2011 15:02

Belgina - I?m sorry to hear your news. I wish you all the best.

Greedychoops - I know what you mean about having a fuzzy head! I?ve been feeling nauseous every day for over a week (although thankfully not actually ill), I have absolutely no energy and am struggling to get through the day. Sadly I work full time, but as I?ve not told anyone at work yet, I?m just having to put a brave face on it! :(

I?ve got my booking appointment this Saturday, I can?t wait! I?ll be 7 + 2. Hopefully I?ll get an idea of when I can have the first scan.

MandaHugNKiss · 01/02/2011 17:37

belgina so, so sorry to hear it was bad news for you. I really hope the next few weeks will be as easy as they can be considering the circumstances - be gentle with yourself

Was feeling so sick early I was gagging at the thought of feeding ds2. Poor kid, I put it off for half an hour.

belgina · 01/02/2011 18:21

Thanks everyone for your kind messages. I've got the next 2 weeks off and I will try to make them as enjoyable as possible. Feels like I'm coming down with dd1's cold on top of it, though :(

All the best again to everyone.

manda I recognise that feeling. When I was pg with dd2 my dcs were only fed things I could stomach the sight off. Needless to say their diet wasn't the healthiest at that point, lol.

ssmile · 01/02/2011 20:10

belgina - hope you can take it easy.

Ursigurke - I too will be 12.5wks at my booking in day but I pushed for a scan the same day as we hoping to fly that weekend and I want the all clear before we go. So nice to be booked in 28th Feb..... If you are worried I would push for an earlier one, 19wks does sound very late for the first scan? Thats normally the second scan in our area at 20wks.

ssmile · 01/02/2011 20:13

yes alas after the flu and a nasty tummy bug I fear I now have DD cold oh crap :(

But after the sad news on this thread I feel very lucky at the moment that is all I am facing.

loomer · 01/02/2011 20:26

Belgina, I'm so sorry to hear about your scan, I can't imagine how you feel, but hope you have good people around you to give big hugs. Get some nice treats booked into your two weeks.

Greedychops, I don't have a booking in appt yet either as none available at my GPs until February 25th Shock! So I am waiting for the midwife to get back to me with a date at a different surgery - fingers crossed, as I was told that I needed to be booked in between 8 and 10 weeks... and that's not long.

Interested to know when others are going to tell work colleagues? My instinct is to wait until after first scan... last time I left it as late as I could (around 16 weeks when my trousers were bulging), but this time I'm thinking... why bother leaving it that late?

AnotherMuesliPleaseBarman · 01/02/2011 20:28

Can I join, please? I think EDD will be about 29/30 Sept. This will be DC2. Am 36 but will be 37 by the time s/he makes an appearance. :)

Working (flexible) full time and feeling knackerated.

Can't imagine having 2 and being tireder (?) than I am already!

ursigurke · 01/02/2011 20:30

ssmile, I'm quite sure they will give me an earlier one anyway. I'll see what happens at the booking appointment. As I said, last time I got one within a couple of days. But I will definitely push for it.
Ideally I want to wait until the scan before telling everyone but I'm not sure how long I will be able to hide it. So far, two of my mummy friends know it and it actually nice to talk about it.

feralgirl · 01/02/2011 21:03

So sorry belgina. Thinking of you. And thanks for the recount of (slightly scary!) hb experience.

feralgirl · 01/02/2011 21:05

I've just had a stomach bug too, same as loads of you. Bloody miserable and it has left me completely drained and even more tired.

alibaba1980 · 02/02/2011 10:29

loomer I?m not going to tell work colleagues until after the first scan. So far we?ve only told both sets of parents so I?ll want to tell the rest of our families before I tell friends and work colleagues, otherwise the news is bound to get leaked on facebook!

MandaHugNKiss · 02/02/2011 13:08

Hello anothermuesli (that's an odd bar you're in!) and welcome. I don't think 'tireder' is a word, but it definitely should be and is very apt in our situation! Grin

I just got my letter notification of booking and 12 week nuchal/triple test scan/bloods.

Thank goodness my gp was wrong when she said I'd be booked at 15 weeks - I questioned that I thought it would be around 10 weeks but she just insisted 'oh, no, around 15 weeks...'. But 15th feb I'm booking in at... dun dun dun 10 weeks! I love it when I'm right Grin

Scan on the 28th feb. It's all becoming... realer Grin

lxr1 · 02/02/2011 14:13

Hello all, not posted for a bit...haven't had much to say, suffering the nausea, tiredness etc, though some days are better than others.

I have my booking in appt with the MW on Friday, which I think will make things feel more real!

Definitely not telling work yet, this is a new job I started 2 days after getting my BFP, so going to try and hold out until I complete my 3mth probabtion.

ssmile · 02/02/2011 18:32

I hoping to keep it quiet until 16wks but I have had to order some maternity clothes as I struggling to fit in my work trousers (& bras!) by the end of the day (@9wks). oh heaven when my Dorthy Perkins Yoga maternity trousers turned up they fitted a treat so comfy at the days end Grin

I think the second one definately appears to be showing quicker this time around. Last time I told some people at work when I was 7mths and they hadn't noticed!!! I know I was a size 16 but pleeeaseee.

Xmasevie · 02/02/2011 20:22

Hi all.
Belgina, I'm so sorry to hear about your scan. Thoughts are with you. Ive suffered similar scan findings, an empty uterus last may so I know how you feel. I'm hoping the luck will be on my side this time as now 7+5 I think although mw says I'm 8+5 according to my lmp. Just have to wait and see on the 9th. I read somewhere if you get a hb at 8 weeks scan, 98% chance of being viable. That's what I'm
Praying for every day. I found out about this pregnancy on the due date of my miscarried pregnancy so I'm
Hoping that's some sign of fate and being meant this time.
As for telling work, I think they suspect already as I've had to Run to loo feeling Sick. Just passed my 6 month probation, not telling till about 14 weeks if I can make it that long. There was also a comment made yesterday that I'd be next!! A few people have announced pregnancy news recently.
Can't wait to tell the whole world but as time passes it's easier to keep the secret.
Hope everyone is well and not Feeling too poorly.
Ps just realised been drinking green tea stupidly not knowing it has caffeine in it!! Been having about four cups per day!!!
