Hi

Still whispering the good news but is there anyone else out there wishing they had made the most of the Stilton this Christmas? [Wink]

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

so i've just been to the loo again and after a poo (sorry) a thin blood when i wipe. More red this time but only once on the tissue. I think i'll phone the midwife in the morning. It's weird, you would have thought that if something was going to happen it would just happen? It does seem like the cervical erosion thing i'll have to ask i guess.

belgina · 25/01/2011 08:16

yoshi if it keeps happening, do ask for a EPAU referal once you've hit 6 weeks. A scan will give you some piece of mind, hopefully. Sorry, this might be TMI for you, but do you need to strain when you go for a no2? That might make it worse. Maybe adding more fibre and fluids to your diet might make a difference.

yoshimigalloway · 25/01/2011 09:20

thanks belgina, at this point nothing is too much information. I'll do that. I spoke to the midwife who said that there's nothing they can do at this stage. She did mention the cervical erosion thing i suppose it's reassuring that at the moment there's nothing inbetween visits to the loo. She said i'll have to wait and see, although she said 7 weeks.

How are you doing now? X

moocowmrs · 25/01/2011 16:34

Can I join you lovely ladies please, finally got BFP today after two failed attempts to POAS !! so third time lucky, due 26th Sept, this will be DC3 after a mc last summer I am a little nervous and trying not to get over excited !

redlaura · 25/01/2011 19:59

Hello ladies. Chuckling away to myself at all this number 2 talk as I've just spent the last 24 hours getting to know my bathroom better. Bad bad bad stomach bug. Severe cramps and well... Enough said. Got some pills from the doctor and I hope they kick in soon. OH is on his way home with some egg fried rice and some lucozade.

Thinking of all you ladies with worries. Have had a fair few the last day as I cannot imagine how anything could have survived in me. The cramps have had me doubled over but they're at the top of my stomach so nothing to really be concerned about. You just can't help wondering though can you.

See you all on the other side when I'm bug free and smiling again!

BigBabyBoots · 26/01/2011 09:01

Hello! May I elbow my way in please? Grin

Got our BFP 4 days ago, it will be our first. 6 weeks at the moment we reckon, although I'm sure I've had symptoms for longer, but hey ho. Maybe just over-indulged at Christmas...

I can't stand all of this waiting! And worrying about every little thing. Can't wait to be a blimp too, although not looking forward to being heavily preggers in Summer... sweaty, swollen, cranky. Mmmm. OH may have to move out for a while heehee.

Congrats to everyone Grin

BigBabyBoots · 26/01/2011 09:01

Duh, and I forgot - edd Sept 21st. Just in time for the new school year.

painfullyhonest · 26/01/2011 14:39

Hi, can I join in? haven't read the whole thread but congrats to you all!

We found out on Sunday and DC2 is due around 25th Sept. I am also hating the waiting... very nervous about having another MC - had one before DD1 who is 2.4yo.

Feeling generally pretty hungry, have had a couple of moments when I gagged but I get sickness pretty badly so I wonder if I'm just anticpating feeling rougher than a badger's bum. keep looking around the house and wondering how I will manage everything once that crazy exhaustion kicks in.

Very grateful that DD has settled well into nursery this term!

Have 2 trips away booked for the end of Feb. Am wondering if I am going to be a Vomiting Veronica whilst I'm supposed to be experiencing romance in Italy and glamour in NYC!

ssmile · 26/01/2011 19:36

Redlaura you have my complete sympathy I too have had a horrid tum bug over the weekend and just cant get my strength back this week.

Its been horrid week think it must be massive hormonal push (8wks) or something post tum bug. Just full of tears, all day naueous, sick a few times, just absoultely wiped out. Off to GP tom to get signed off work as used up my one week self cert. Do not want DR to sign me off as preg though as not told work yet (other issues there) My DH been fab and my DD being very well behaved but I am already missing 'me' :( all my energy gone

I know it will pass with my DD it was around 16wks by the time I felt a little better. Sorry a bit of a down post. Hope everyone is feeling more upbeat.

yoshimigalloway · 26/01/2011 19:59

hello,

The doctor has advised i get the flu jab because as well as being pregnant,I have rheumatoid arthritis & have to take meds to reduce my immune system. The receptionist said I can have the swine flu jab tomorrow but they had run out of the normal flu one.

Has anyone else had both? They said you can buy it from morrison's pharmacy. Does anyone know how much it costs?

redlaura · 26/01/2011 21:07

ssmile keep your chin up! I just managed a bowl of mash! We'll get there! My boss has told me to stay off until Monday. Don't even have the energy to post more than this x

Xmasevie · 26/01/2011 23:11

Is anyone else not feeling sick?I'm 6+6 and worried

greedychops · 27/01/2011 08:18

Xmasevie - I'm not but don't like to come on and say so as others seem to be feeling it pretty badly, but now that there is another non sick person, we can admit it together Grin

I am worried in one way as I was pretty sick with my other two pg, but I also know lots of people who had no symptoms at all. Guess it's just a waiting game for more symptoms to appear, or for the scan.

ursigurke · 27/01/2011 09:32

xmasevie, I do feel slightly sick but only half of the day and I am already 8+1. I think I haven't felt anything until a couple of days ago. With my first pregnancy it was much worse. I do understand that you are worried but please enjoy it! Many women don't feel sick! Maybe you have other symptoms? I was crying the other day for a ridiculous reason. I was angry about it but happy as well as it was clearly due to hormones :)

Misty9 · 27/01/2011 09:32

I'm not feeling that sick or tired either. Been bit nauseous these last few days, but nothing major. Now I'm starting to settle into being pregnant, I'm finding it hard to believe there's anything in there! Does anyone else find this?
Four weeks until the 12wk scan....

Hope all are feeling well/better
:)

slowshow · 27/01/2011 10:57

I'm 7 weeks today, and the nausea has really ramped up this week. I even wake 3-4 times a night feeling sick. No actual vomiting (thank god) so I'm trying to keep it under control with contant eating Blush I am slightly worried about being the size of a bus.

I keep telling myself "this is a good thing, this is a good thing..."

redlaura · 27/01/2011 13:37

misty you have hit the nail on the head. Last night I was double checking with OH that he remembers seeing the line on the pregnancy test too. He thinks I'm ridiculous, and to be fair he's probably right. But I want a bump or a scan or something ffs!

Was tempted to do another test but don't want to go there as I'll be doing one a day knowing me.

I mean logically I'm pregnant. No period since November, no spotting at all, nausea most days bigger bras. But can I really trust that? Nope!!!

Made worse that I got busted at work and the grapevine took the news round in 24 hours. I'm worried that now everyone knows that some how it's a big trick. Mental or what?

Gastric flu on it's way out. Managed some eggs today without dire consequences!

ssmile · 27/01/2011 14:54

HI feeling a bit better today managed a plate of pasta whohoo bring back my energy.

Those of you who are not sick I would just really enjoy it. My SIL didnt know she was preg until 12wks had no symptons what so ever and had a lovely healthy DD now!

Oh my emotions are so all over the place just watched DOND and the chap won big money I was gibberly mess :o

slowshow · 27/01/2011 14:54

Oh no Laura, how did you get busted? Smile

redlaura · 27/01/2011 17:48

slowshow I decided to by some maternity trousers for work as I have only on pair of normal trousers that fit me... And only just. This girl from work was in the toilets when I was and said she lived my trousers and where did I get them from. Befor I could say anything she'd lifted my jumper a little to see better and it was totally obvious. Another three girls came out of the cubicles as she was squealing with excitement. And that was it. Bang! Thank god I've been off sick all week. It's my OH who's has to deal with it (we work for same firm-that's how we met) he says that every five minutes someone comes up to shake his hand... Including the HR director yesterday. I've had a couple of texts and emails too. Hope that by the time I get back to work on Monday it will be old news.

Bad news: stomach bug has come back with a vengence

Xmasevie · 27/01/2011 18:34

Thanks guys. I just been to the loo and had brown discharge. I'm now in terrified mode as this was how my last mc started. Anyone else had brown mucus when wiping? Sorry for too much information - I'm so scared. Got midwife tomorrow morning, I'll be 7 weeks tomorrow

Misty9 · 27/01/2011 20:09

xmasevie I had some of this last week (8 weeks tomorrow) and after having internal exam and scan all looked fine. It's tapered off now, and was caused by blood coming from my cervix - due to sensitive cells on the outside. Apparently it's very common in women who've been on the pill for a long time (about 14yrs in my case).

Hope you're ok, and I won't say don't worry as I know it's impossible not to
xx

belgina · 27/01/2011 22:19

xmasevie It's fairly common to have this, however if you're worried you can get yourself refered to EPAU, especially if you've had a misc before that started like this. Definitely mention it to your MW. She might be able to refer you. In the mean time: take it easy and try and have yourself a good night's sleep :)

Xmasevie · 28/01/2011 08:23

Thanks misty and Belgina. Woke up this morning after a broken nights sleep. No more spotting since yesterday at 6. I'm hoping it's cos I was on pill for 10 years misty!! Midwife this morning for first ap so going to ask for blood hcg levels. Dont want an internal scan xxx

BigBabyBoots · 28/01/2011 08:38

Good luck Smile .

redlaura I've had the same thing, I don't "feel" pregnant and most of the symptoms I had last week seem to have stopped. I'm finding it hard to believe there's anything in there! Funny, I hated all the symptoms when I had them, but now they're gone I wish they'd come back so I could know everything's still ok Confused

ssmile I got all weepy the other day when DP told me he'd installed a pond for someone at work. I don't know why - maybe I'm really happy for the fish??
