thanks RP - do u get it in tesco? will ahve to give it a try, still nothing - lots of smells but nothing else to make it worse my DH is having the exact opposite problem god who'd be a woman!

ooh got the bio oil - it smells rather nice doesn't it!

RosiePosie · 02/10/2005 12:21

Yeah, most supermarkets sell it

Frizbe · 02/10/2005 14:21

Tis either that Munz or the old Prune Juice! yummy!
Potty training nil hits still and we are currently missing the am poo, am hoping dd is not being retentive just at the thought of the potty.....
Have been to Next this am, (on a sunday, how stupid of me) have managed to buy a pair of green combat type trousers for me in maternity, and dd has a top with tights and some new pants, which she chose with cats on them, hopefully these will encourage her into using the potty!
Have to say am totally shattered tho, after getting up with her from 3.30am onwards today tho, she got up and stayed up at 4.30......and ss got up at 6, cause we were up with dd, am starting to think, oh crikey how will I cope, I know I just will, but am just sooooo tired now!

romilly · 02/10/2005 18:53

thanks for the welcome rosieposie. i've been a bit rude and not really introduced myself to everyone because lots of my buddies from the beanie thread are on here already. but i feel like i know you all a bit anyway because i have been lurking from time to time

munz - as friz said dried prunes are a sure-fire way to get things back in working order fast!

munz · 02/10/2005 18:54

prunes - urghh! lol - still no signs! DH recons I should have a brown sauce butty - urghhh! or a curry! god me and DH have no secrets talking about poopies!

Frizbe · 02/10/2005 20:26

ooooooh its prunes for breakfast for you dear!

desperatehousewife · 02/10/2005 20:32

Hello Romilly, sorry, haven't said hello properly to you yet. How are you doing?
What's your situation? First child or do you have others? Which part of the country are you from?

RosiePosie · 02/10/2005 20:45

That's okay, Romilly - it's my own fault for my selective use of mumsnet. Let us know about yourself and we can add you to the stats list!

Munz, prunes have the most terrible effect on me and my dh has forbidden me to eat them. Fybogel is really subtle but effective, lol.

munz · 03/10/2005 09:01

thanks RP - will go that way I think - still nothing will try those and if nothing still I think i'll have to go to the drs - I look like i'm about 7 months PG now - i'm sure most of it is wind thou! lol. (ooh actually failing that might try raw onions tonight - they normally always work for me - just DH won't wanna come near me - no change there then )

could just about manage dates - do they have the same effect?

anyhow how r u girls today? - when do u normally start to feel the kicks then?

Dene · 03/10/2005 10:28

Hi everybody, hope you've had a good weekend.

I'm still feeling quite sick a lot but feel ok at the moment. I could barely eat for the first 14 weeks and I was sick everyday. Now I'm starving all the time and can't stop eating! Is anybodyelse the same?

Munz - I had the same problem in my last pregnancy and also found that a glass or 2 of fybrogel everyday helped.

munz · 03/10/2005 10:31

dene - I'm going off food again really - althou when I get going I really eat. did a nice mince meeat roast yesterday - yummy!

how far are u now?

CF society

RosiePosie · 03/10/2005 13:56

Expressmummy, what a nightmare for you. Praying that the scan results tommorrow are good.

I think it's a hard condition to live with, in all honesty. I knew two sisters with CF at school and I'm sorry to say that they both passed away by the time they were 16

I guess you just need to wait until tommorrow and see what the results are.

Cadmum · 03/10/2005 14:08

espressmummy: I am sorry that you have received such stressful news. I hope you manage to catch your breath today and have time to think. I am also praying that all goes well with your scan tomorrow.

I do have friends who have the loveliest nephew who has CF. He is a strong little lad and it only slows him down when he is ill (with a cold or the like). I would never have known that he was an unwell child when I met him at our friends? wedding 7 years ago. He was 8 at the time and is still doing really well. Two things I do remember is that he often had a form of therapy that involved thumping on his chest and back to try to clear the mucus in his lungs and that he was encouraged to eat high fat foods (including little pats of butter to encourage adequate growth). He has an older sister and a younger brother that do not have CF.

newgirl · 03/10/2005 15:03

Hi all!

EM - I don't anything about CF - do tell us what you find out tomorrow.

Munz - no video/DVD to be found yet! I am now on a mission. Inspector Barnarby was not the same. PS ladies, its not his big ears its his intellect that I like. OK, I will keep my fantasies to myself now

PS got the biooil this weekend too - I think I will need lots of bottles (£9?!) if I am to cover all the potential stretch areas.

Byeee
