munz - glad you are sounding ok after the shock of last week. hopefully there will be a big snowfall on sunday night for you

friz - seven seater merc eh? very flash

hi everyone else, hope you are all having a nice chilled out cosy weekend - and i also hope nobody has started their christmas shopping yet cause i most certainly havent

going to make myself a big frothy hot choccy now to eat with my mince pies, mmmmm

newgirl · 26/11/2005 20:20

Hi everyone

Its been a week since I checked in and I can't believe what is going on!!

munz - glad you are ok - take it easy!

poppy - why are you having a c-section? is everything ok?

zeph - why do you need to get sterilised? isn't that what blokes are for?! Get their bits tied I say!

marne - so sorry to hear about the bleed - I am constantly on the look out since last time with spare knickers in my bag!! so cool. Bit scary about the woman in hospital delivering at 25 weeks - hope they are ok.

friz/rom - I'm thinking of the money. My boss is a grandma! She should be very sympathetic (and we make baby books!) but I guess when people are stressed they tend not to think of others. I'm on holiday next week though so that will cheer me up a lot!!

ps all well here. Baby kicking, a friend has given me her washable nappies, people keep saying 'you're blooming' (eg who ate all the pies...!) and I am on holiday next week yippee!!

take care everyone x

Hello March 06 ladies and bumps, I'm new to mumsnet, been lurking a couple of weeks, but thought I'd say hello now.
I'm living in Exeter, pip is due 2nd March. He is currently a very active baby and spends a lot of time kicking me and turning somersaults in there.

munz · 26/11/2005 22:28

LMAO@ NG - who ate all the pies! lol - I know what u mean, this here bump of mine has got huge over the past 2 weeks - (well huge to me anyhow!)

Uni Sarah - hiya and welcome to our little world! lol - u'll soon be an addict like the rest of us! lol.

found a car - just gotta see if the sum's add up and we can afford it! lol. (if not looks like i'll have to get ours fixed up ) even the new guy at the car dealer said the one who sold us this one was a robbing git who'd done us up like kippers

romilly · 26/11/2005 23:39

lol newgirl - i loved your "who ate all the pies" comment too and lol munz - "robbing git who'd done you like kippers"

welcome to unisarah - happy to have you on board with us

my little bean is doing gymnastics today too, more than can be said of her mummy! today i have mostly been taking it easy on the sofa!

nighty night all x

munz · 27/11/2005 09:47

lol rom - ah there's nothing wrong with rest on the sofa! lol, I got the new CSI game yesterday - so guess what i'll be doing all day today - man it's addicitve! lol.

has DH felt bump kicking as well yet?

this bump here seems to think my rib cage is there for his personal ammusement - well that or inbetween them! lol

boobs seem to be gettin worse on the leaking front - can u girls recommend any good pads - not fussed about reusable or not- althou I guess it wouldn't matter if they oculd go in with the nappies.

marne · 27/11/2005 11:32

Hi munz, i also have realy leeky boobs and they are itching like mad, im using disposable pads at the mo from toys r us, they are the only ones i can find that dont show through my top and they are the cheepest.

I was awake most of the night with itchy legs, belly and boobs, is anyone else itchy?

My bumps still very small and i am still wearing my jeans, last time i was huge by now. I realy want to look pg. My boobs are growing faster than my bump, gone fom a C cup to DD

welcome to unisarah.

Hope the rest of you are well.

coppertop · 27/11/2005 12:59

A big welcome to Laundrylover and UniSarah.

I hope everyone's okay. I'm glad the scan and check-up at the hospital went well, Munz. The accident must have given you a real fright.

Things are still going well here (touchwood!). I'm a bit worried about how big this baby is going to be though. At my MW appointment at 22 weeks I am apparently measuring at 27 weeks already!! Eeeeek! My dates are right though as they matched the dates from the scan measurements. I was expecting this baby to be big like his/her brothers but not too big. Hopefully things will even out a bit over the next few weeks.

newgirl · 27/11/2005 18:01

Hi Unisarah!

marne - I'm all itchy too - dh rubbing in bio oil seems to help in some areas...

getting fed up with nose bleeds today.

coppertop - that sounds like a big difference - are the dates right? big babies are fab though - sleep better I reckon.

byeee

munz · 27/11/2005 19:03

no itching marne - just mega cramps every night in my calfs, was always the right (apparently mum got that with me) but last night was the left - she keeps telling me to stand in a bath of cold water - seems to help if I just stand up out of bed thou??

ct- agree with NG - the date's are a huge differnce. are u sure it's just one? and to think I was worried about having a big baby! lol.

brought some more clothes from ebay today seems like a real bargin thou (for the lenght of time they're in them!)

Frizbe · 27/11/2005 19:33

Hi all, nice to see the thread getting chatty!

Munz, I had my 1st cramps last night, so can sympathise with you, here's wishing you a ton of snow for tonight, sorry to hear about the car stitch, what's the new one then??

Rom, oh I know it sounds good, can't see it happening tho, sure we'll end up with the citroen! (would much rather have a 2 seater Merc! than a 7 seater!! but then that's the joys of parenthood for you!)
Save me some hot chocky tho!

Newgirl, keep thinking of the cash and roll on the hols then!

Hi to Unisarah, welcome to the thread

Marne still in your jeans soooo unfair! your given Sarah Beeny a run for her money on boobs tho

Coppertop are you sure your not due earlier?! sure you'll catch up on your dates.

Righty gotta dash, do believe dd is heading for the naughty step again, as is out of bed.....

Frizbe · 28/11/2005 09:05

OMG! 3rd Trimester as of yesterday! hope all are well x

munz · 28/11/2005 09:25

lol - I know friz i'm not 26+1! only 12 more to go as I keep telling DH! i'm soooooooo broody already! can't wait till this baby's out! see our friend's little girl on sat - she's just 9 weeks - OMG she was sooooooooo cute of all u lot having girls! lol. why can't it be march already! lol.

the car's a citroen, just waiting to see if we get finance - highly unlikely as the car's worth £7500 and we're asking for £10000 due to the resettlement finance, it's an 03 plate 2.0L diesel but has 80K on the clock- i'm assured that's motorway miles and I'm lucky to do 10000 P/A esp once baby's here. will just potter in town so hopefully can bring it back down again. so if we don't get it we'll have to re-assess again I guess as long as this one passes the MOT in feb we can cope not getting the smaller jobs done on it.

does anyone know if a speedo is part of an MOT - I didn't think it was??

Frizbe · 28/11/2005 09:28

mot test
HTH Munz!

romilly · 28/11/2005 11:58

friz - lol @ sarah beeny's boobs! my bump is definitely growing more than my boobs, even so i seem to be constantly buying new bra sizes as they get uncomfortable in about 2 weeks

munz - very impressed with your leaking, mine arent yet! yes d/h is feeling the kicks too now, i love this part when they can feel more involved. he talks to my bump now and then, but always puts on a silly voice - and bizarrely - for no apparent reason - a welsh accent (dont know where that comes from!)

newgirl - i get the nosebleeds a lot too. yukky. but not complaining, better than m/s!

marne - i also get the itches, legs and tum. i use loads of cocoa butter or bio oil seems to help.

am back to hospital today for b/p monitoring. and have to see a consultant about very bad rib paings under my boob. i am thinking its entirely normal but they want to check its nothing to do with my liver.

Frizbe · 28/11/2005 13:55

Hope Hospital appt goes well Rom

desperatehousewife · 28/11/2005 19:15

so sorry girls to put such a downer on things - but had to tell you that I have just lost my baby. Hadn't felt any movement since Friday and coulnd't find heartbeat with my doppler today so went to hospital who confirmed my worst fear.

I have to be induced and go through the whole process over the next couple of days.

I sincerely and truthfully wish you guys all the very best over the next few months and will raise a toast to you around beginning of March!

Good luck
Thanks for all support

What bloody awful luck dhw - I'm so sorry for you and your dh.

I can't think of anything to say that doesn't come across as hopelessly trite. It's absolutely wretched.

I'm so, so sorry.

RosiePosie · 29/11/2005 08:04

I'm so sorry, DHW

desperatehousewife · 29/11/2005 08:35

thanks girls. Seriously, please don't use up any more space on your thread worrying about me or posting lovley messages to me. I appreciate your thoughts and caring. But the important thing for you lot is to focus on your futures and not feel down about my experience. I will be fine - but it will take time.

So no more sadness on this post! Start a new thread maybe which is 100% positive and exciting about your futures!!

Take care everyone - good luck
