Hi all

We are all a busy bunch on this thread, must remember to come on twice a day at this rate!!

Did our Xmas food shop yesterday as it was bad snow so knew would be quiet. Was in Tesco and said to DH, we?ve got to go, I feel like shit. It was just all the hustle and bustle. It was quieter than normal, but still quite busy. Bought some ginger nut biscuits and felt so much better!!

I?m feeling sicky and achy in the day Nix, but not being sick, cannot sleep all the way through the night either which is driving me mad, as I LOVE my sleep!! Suppose I?d better get use to the lack of though lol!

Hi to all the newly preggars!!
Hope everything OK for you Bryher fingers crossed all will be well.

wheresmytractor my nipples have been sore but have just put it down to being fecking freezing!!! Hope your DS gets well soon.

ohanotherone I would love twins! We have non identical both sides so really hope it is, although we have said we are going to have 2 babies max, so if it is twins, will only have 1 pregnancy :( (DH said if it is twins, he?s going to book himself in for the chop lol!!)

bettyboo I?ve just bought some pregnacare, they?ve got everything you need in them.

Well, I was right to not add myself to the list, I've started bleeding quite heavily so I doubt there is any hope.

I just knew it wasn't going to be ok. I shouldn't have posted on here, I've tempted fate Sad

I told a friend earlier and she helpfully told me that its normal to try for 12months, apparently 80% or something get pg within a year so 'you'll probably be pg again by next Christmas'. I said that because we'd be ttc for 3.5 years I didn't think that statistic applied to me. I guess she just didn't know what to say so it was a case of foot-in-mouth disease.

Thing is, if I knew I only had to wait another 12 months to have a successful pg I could cope with that, but it could be years or it could be never. I feel numb. Again.

Anyway, feel better for writing all that. Good luck ladies, hope all goes well.

KLou111 · 19/12/2010 14:58

I am so so so sorry Batgirl. Silly question, but are you going to go to the doctor? Hoping it is nothing serious xx

MrsVidic · 19/12/2010 15:11

hi can i join please? We were not officially trying until december but got lucky ! I have 1 dd who is 17 months so i am worn out! I have really bad sickness and tiredness, which was the same for dd 1. I'm getting confused regarding due days as the on line calculators are saying 5 weeks plus but we only started trying after the 19th nov, any ideas? My first day of my last period was the 5th of nov

KLou111 · 19/12/2010 15:20

Welcome MrsVidic and CONGRATULATIONS!!
Your due date should be 12th August 2011. Apparently you add 9 months (5th August) and 1 week from the start of your last period to get you due date. That's what Tommy's book says anyway! Don't worry, I was totally confused with this too as I thought you went from ovulation!

spilttheteaagain · 19/12/2010 15:54

Batgirl I am so sorry, how awful for you. You haven't tempted fate sweetheart, nothing you have done will have caused the bleeding. I would second KLou and see a doctor. They would probably want to give you an early scan to see if the baby is ok (it may be fine) or if not to check you are ok and don't need extra treatment. I really hope this is just one of those times where someone bleeds in early pregnancy but it turns out to be nothing wrong and the baby is fine. Thinking of you x

LadyGoneGaga · 19/12/2010 16:30

I really hope ervything is ok, Batgirl. You definitely need to see the EPU so they can advise you.

I really hope it isn't a mc but if it is, it is worth remembering that often people are more fertile after a mc so it could take a lot less time to get pg again. But like I say really hope that isn't the case. Take care.

Batgirl80 · 19/12/2010 17:06

Thanks for your thoughts. I should have said that I'll be at the EPADs tomorrow morning, I've been here before though and am pretty certain of the outcome Sad.

TerrysNo2 · 19/12/2010 18:00

batgirl so Sad for your bleeding, I really hope its not what you think. Let us know how tomorrow goes, we will be keeping our FX for you. xxx

Welcome MrsVidic Smile

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 19/12/2010 18:05

batgirl hope you get a good outcome tomorrow lovely. I MC 4 months ago pg2 so i know exactly what you are going through in terms of conflicting emotions and turmoil. Hope you are holding up ok. I really really do hope that you get a positive outcome and you are simply bleeding in pregnancy xxx

MrsVidic · 19/12/2010 18:11

batgirl my friend bled through her first 12 weeks and her ds is now 8 weeks old. Good luck for tomorrow and there really is nothing you have done to cause it x

JenniL1977 · 19/12/2010 18:21

batgirl I'm not a doctor or anything, and we've been trying for 3.5yrs too. I don't know your story, but have you been having any treatment or been under the care of your local reproductive medicine unit? (in the north of England, everyone's sent to Leeds). They really are fantastic- it's quite full on and can be frustrating because it is still the NHS so can move quite slowly sometimes. If you want to chat, you can pm me, I am so well aware of all the frustrations and despair the 2ww every month can put you under.
All love for yr appt at the doc's tmoz. Hope all is well, but you didn't do anything wrong.

Firawla · 19/12/2010 18:53

batgirl im so sorry :( hope the outcome is better than you're expecting and that actually everything will be okay

northeastmummy · 19/12/2010 19:08

So sorry you're going through this again batgirl. I really hope it goes better than you think tomorrow. Please let us know - we'll be thinking about you x

Ekka · 19/12/2010 19:59

I'm so sorry batgirl, I really hope that things work out for you, if not this time then very soon.

Whoever asked, paracetamol is the only painkiller that you are 'allowed' to use during pregnancy.

Cappucino, sounds like we have almost identical age gaps with our dc. My dd (June baby) will be 4.3 and ds (October baby) will be 2.10 when this lo arrives. We had a 17mth age gap and they get on brilliantly, so I just hope that this one fits in too. Dd is already at pre-school, and will be going into reception, and ds is going to start in pre-school in September, so I will have a little time on my own with just the lo!

LifeOfKate · 19/12/2010 20:08

Sorry to hear that, batgirl, best of luck for tomorrow, will be thinking of you xx

Bryher · 19/12/2010 20:30

Really sorry to hear that Batgirl, fingers crossed for tomorrow xxx

Bryher · 19/12/2010 20:35

Thanks KLou111 :) Things seem OK at the moment, though worrying every time I feel a twinge! just crossing fingers for next scan on 31st.

Was feeling sick more or less constantly before but that's now swamped by lurgy - coughing and sneezing all over the place! And can't just dose up on Lemsip Max like I normally would!

Ended up really fancying fish and chips after reading earlier post, but our local chippy was closed - evil ppl

Good luck to all

IamMrsJones · 19/12/2010 22:31

Batgirl - I had a MC in October, so can kind of imagine how you are feeling. I truly hope it goes well for you. xx

fel1x · 20/12/2010 09:24

Batgirl, I'm so sorry that you are going through such worrry. I really hope that today brings you good news from your appt

ohanotherone · 20/12/2010 10:09

Thinking of you Batgirl!!

RugbyWidow7 · 20/12/2010 10:30

So sorry to hear that Batgirl and hope you get good news today! Thinking of you. xxx

MrsVidic, we had a similar conception situ to you but am due late Aug (around 23/24).

Feeling very tired today and had to drive DH to station at 6am this morning at minus 10 degress with the damn car heater not working! Can just feel fingers again now.

TerrysNo2 · 20/12/2010 12:42

Oh god, my lovely colleague has just wafted in front of me her homemade chicken curry of which she is so proud and it almost made me hurl. My eyes actually watered whilst I had to smile sweetly and say "it looks lovely".

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 20/12/2010 13:09

Oh Batgirl, I'm so sorry :( Fingers crossed that there's a glimmer of hope today x

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 20/12/2010 13:17

Well, I've had a wierd ol' weekend. DH was out on his xmas do on saturday night, so I treated myself to a few bottles of beer - Beck Blue - completely alcohol free, and I highly recommend it. It was so good I actually felt guilty drinking it. Yesterday, was a day from hell. The weather was clear, so we went out to do some Xmas shopping, and I noticed, being in close proximity with the public, how bad everyone smelt - mainly of fry-ups, which was making me gip Grin Headed home at about 3.30,and then got stuck on the A1 for 6 hours after a sudden blizzard, I've never seen anything like it before, cars & lorries strewn everywhere. Eventually, they closed the northbound road (where we lived) and directed everyone south?!?! So,spent the night, luckily at my parents. It was an ideal opportunity though, to tell them our good news :) And, my mum reassured me with the fact that she didnt throw up ONCE when she was PG with both me & my DB, and apparently, that lucky trait can be hereditary!! Here's hoping Grin
