I had my 4d scan today! The baby looks huge! Xmas Shock The sonographer estimated 4 lbs already at 31 weeks but I think she's bigger TBH as she only took into consideration the length of her rather than width. I'm seriously considering a CS as DD struggled to get out and I think any bigger would have resulted in emergency CS anyway. She's very very cute though Xmas Grin and it was nice to see what she's "up to." She was snuggled right into the placenta with her feet right up to her face (I think she's going to be a contortionist) so her face was difficult to see at times. She was bottom down into my pelvis so she must have flipped since my MW visit as she said she was head down Confused.

Meant to add:

Hope Zero had a good birthday!

Hope the move is going well Angels and is not proving too stressful.

ledkrsbellyislikesantas · 27/12/2010 18:26

was going to pass the time with dh watching "the wire"box set of 6 series but we cant watch it with dd about and i fall asleep as soon asit goes on at night haha.
Debka thats what i thought, its not as if we are comfy and can do much is it?Going to bed is no pleasure and even eating has become difficukt as i dont seem to have any room for much.
Lets all think of things to do in January.
Ill start-pack bags-have a pg massage-have a pedicure-see friends for coffee.

wandering i found my 3d scan a right wind up,she looked so sweet and lovely i wanted her out there and then for acuddle-stil do really.

wigglesrock · 27/12/2010 18:29

Great news about the scan wandering, how cute.

Not been feeling all that great recently. Have had 2/3 very upchucky days, feeling very coldy, breathless, sore throat, have also developed a few mouth ulcers and have "cracks" at side of mouth, very attractive at the minute!!! Ran to Boots today as I thought they were coldsores, spoke to pharmacist and she gave me a bit of a chewing, in a nice way about taking care of myself. She felt I was iron deficient and perhaps Vit B deficient. I am going to try and track down midwife tomorrow and have a bit of a chat. Also soooooooooo tired Grin. But baby is moving ok etc.

We had a great Christmas, girls are a lovely age at the minute and have really really appreciated their presents. The hit present was the cheap 2 wheel (Hello Kitty) scooter and the Dora head!! (think Girls World but Dora!!!) DD2 (3) kept telling everyone Santa was was bringing her the head of Dora for Christmas Hmm

wigglesrock · 27/12/2010 18:38

Ledkr I need to sort out my hospital bag, I have nothing done!! I want to take girls out a few times, cinema etc before school starts again. Haven't done much lately because of the weather!! DD1 not back to school until 10th January, so hopefully can get loads fitted in.

I have been trying to watch the Wire for months, not really happening for me. Mr Wiggles got loads of DVD box sets for Christmas/birthday so going to try and relax and watch some.

ledkrsbellyislikesantas · 27/12/2010 18:56

ooo are you a wire fan?we are obsessed.
I have packed my bag but really struggling with pjs as know i wont go down thst much but the ones i am wearing are size 20 and fall down now so will def be too big,i have opted for 16-18 but in stretch, will also need a nightie as will have a catheter in at first oh joy but am using my big nighties.
I am soooo big now its no joke,i can hardly breathe,my sis took apic of me yesterday and i cant believe it,maybe dr is right and shes a whopper, got to pack some bigger baby gros just in case as ive put in tiny ones cos always had tiny babes.

WanderingInAWinterWonderland · 27/12/2010 19:01

Wiggles sorry you've been ill but glad you and the girls had a great Xmas! Was it the Dora "Suds and Surprise" that they got? DD got it from my sister and loved it, the only thing is that it is on the corner of the bath - everytime I go into the bathroom it freaks me out as I keep thinking that someone's sat in the bath! And it watches me while I'm on the loo!

Ledkr, that's how I feel! It doesn't help that we've spent quite a lot of time with our 3 month old niece over Xmas and she's so cute. It was funny though because I had forgotten that this time next year we'll have a baby, and I was joking around saying, "ooh this time next year DN will be wandering/crawling around pulling all the decorations down, ha ha.... Oh bloody hell, so will ours!"

wigglesrock · 27/12/2010 19:35

wandering yes its 'suds'n'surprise' Dora, ours hasn't made it to the bathroom yet, its still sitting pride of place in the living room and yes it's a bit weird when it catches your eye Grin

Ledkr because I was told with dd2 that she was small I had bought a small size of babygros (7lb8oz ish), she of course turned out to be 8lb8oz!! I had taken all the labels off etc, although the girl in the bed next to me was very pleased with her unexpected baby present Grin

WanderingInAWinterWonderland · 27/12/2010 20:45

I was quite impressed with its colour changing abilities in the water. I didn't think that the colours would change so easily [easily impressed emoticon].

debka · 27/12/2010 21:14

ledkr I'm the same with food, v odd, am eating literally half my normal amount, and am never hungry for meals.

wiggles your ideas of what to do in Jan are making me feel exhausted- can't believe you have so much energy! Mine are mainly- get whoever will to look after DD whilst I doze in the armchair. Cannot WAIT till I have this baby and can actually DO things again. I have, however, persuaded DD that lying down reading books is really good fun!! Ha ha!!

wigglesrock · 27/12/2010 21:40

debka I have no energy, just filled with dread when thinking about being stuck in the house with a 5 year old and 3 year old Grin

ledkrsbellyislikesantas · 27/12/2010 21:51

i dont feel tired but my body is exhausted,i am just so enormous that the sheer size of my bump has made movement impossible.i am only 5ft 6 and i feel kicks by my boobs at same time as my hips i think she is long.never had such a tough physical pregnancy before, deb i feel like that, literally cannot wait to feel remotely normal again and be able to walk breathe and sleep.

tadventjennyp · 28/12/2010 01:25

I am with you there. I've been so lucky so far that I shouldn't complain but at the moment I feel physically ragged. I have horrendous heartburn keeping me awake a lot at night and walking is a real problem. It's a bit hard keeping up with my little ones. Looking forward to when he comes!

Well done on the scan wandering. I bet we all can't wait to meet our babies now!

ledkrsbellyislikesantas · 28/12/2010 09:09

tad the consultant said im "great" and i am if you look at bp,bloods, urine etc,i havent even had piles or thrush, heartburn or anything, however i cant breathe or walk and can honestly say i am never comfortable for a minute.Measured 38wks at 33 so by the time i have baby ill measure 44 wks,its the sheer size thats killin me now,im enormous.

wigglesrock · 28/12/2010 09:50

ledkr I've been vomiting at least once a day from the word go and it's still going on and on my notes midwife has written "feeling very well" Hmm I did raise it with her and as she so kindly put it "well it's just one of those things". DD1 was really long and I remember how uncomfortable and painful it was the last few weeks.

NeedToSleepZZZ · 28/12/2010 10:01

ooh, ledkr, I LOVE the wire, have watched the whole 5 seasons twice now and might have to do it again. I'm watching Oz again at the moment which is great but thankfully I had a box set of Austen films for christmas which are a bit more pleasant to watch!

wiggles I hope you're feeling better now, that's rubbish to have all that and being heavily pregnant. The cracks at the side of your mouth might be a vit B deficiency, do you like marmite? It's great for that.

My entire family decided that baby will be born in January as they can't imagine me getting any bigger, great, now feel like a freak! I'm the opposite to some of you in that I'm soooo hungry at the moment, since baby has dropped a bit I can eat a bit more and making up for it!

I know it sounds selfish but I can't wait now until he's born and I can hand him over to OH for 5 mins so I can just MOVE without being uncomfortable, and the thought of being able to lie on my stomach is so exciting I could cry!

Does anyone know if we are offered internals anytime soon (not that I'm looking forward to one!)? I have a mw appt on Friday and wondered if the appts involve anything other than bp, urine, FH measuring now.

giraffeshatewinter · 28/12/2010 10:51

Happy New Year everyone! Can't believe the thread babies have started to arrive - like most of you, I'm uncomfy and hoping for a January arrival!!! Off to Primark to buy some lovely labour t-shirts and dark knickers...
Hope you all have a relatively comfortable day!

wigglesrock · 28/12/2010 11:07

Needtosleep pharmacist felt I might have a vit B deficiency so off to check! I got no internals until I actually went into labour, no actually I had a sweep with dd1 (did no good what so ever!!!!)

Can I recommend Tescos own "big pants" in black. Thew in a pack last week while shopping and they are so comfy!!!

ledkrsbellyislikesantas · 28/12/2010 12:33

no internals untill they need to check dilation no. I cant believe what need to sleep just said,i said to dh this morning that i want to sit in a quiet room on my own once all the excotement is over,or wlak to the shops or see my friends for an hour.I think i just need to re claim my body.I have had 4 kids but this pg has been by far the most physically trying,i was still teaching tap with the last one at this stage.
wiggles i have been wearing the tesco value big white pants for the whole pg they are great.
Just said to dh i dont know what id have done without you lot,so glad i found this site/thread.

NeedToSleepZZZ · 28/12/2010 12:48

ledkr Shock at you being able to teach tap at this stage!!!! I'm definitely not having any more, told OH we're going swimming in the sea near the local nuclear power station after this as a cheap way to get sterilised!!!!

I'm another one in tesco's finest big pants and their bra tops, so comfy. I also got some from m&s but they cost about 3 times as much.

knittamerrykid · 28/12/2010 12:54

wiggles also a pint of milk's got all the vit B necessary for a day.

I have been really uncomfortable too, said asked yesterday to Dh if he remembered me sitting on the sofa and being confy (I have to sit on the floor at the mo...) and he said yes, so I said oh, good that means that soon I'll be able to sit comfortably again, and he said , well, let's hope so... cheeky bastard!!

Today it's our anniversary, 7 year itch!! well, my tummy and back certainly itch.

I can't believe either that I have more than 8 weeks left... yesterday went to town and people were really frightened by my belly... everyone would move out of the way, stop their companions getting in my way, etc...felt like a complete freak!

How lovely about the scann wondering!
ledkr my sentiments exactly about this thread, thank you all.

wigglesrock · 28/12/2010 13:34

See I haven't been able to touch milk for months, even in tea it has been the bane of my life, because all I really want is a hot cup of tea and a bowl of porridge Sad

Have said to Mr Wiggles that this child had better sleep through the night from 48 hours old or at least become some kind of child prodigy that I can make lots of money from Grin

ledkrsbellyislikesantas · 28/12/2010 13:58

yeah knitter i feel like that, wanna shout what are you looking at?Its at night i struggle, esp after dinner as i feel so uncomfortable.I shouldnt eat much but am so hungry too, must try not to eat so much.we are going for a meal at friends tonight and i seriously doubt how ill cope as cant get comfy and need to get to bed.
going to have my pg massage next week and also take dd for a pedicure this week i though it would be a nice bit of bonding for us.
Wiggles-i thought that "she better be good" i shouted "get out" at my bunp this morning,dh couldnt stop laughing.

Highlandgirl · 28/12/2010 17:27

jack

Whoohooo! welcome Lucy and Katie, well done you!!!!

Amazing news..!

Xxxxx

jackfrost · 28/12/2010 19:49

Hi all, thanks for the congratulations. I have been discharged from hospital now but the girls are still in SCBU. They are very up and down so very worrying times! I have now had cuddles with both and they have both had a go at breast feeding, not strong enough to do it yet but they are giving it a good try! Just when they get ready to take away one of there tubes they have a tantrum and do something to keep it! Katie had a few problems on Monday but seems to have stabilised again but Lucy is having a few problems maintaining a decent heart rate.

I had said to everyone not to bother with newborn clothes a we have quite a few and they wont be in them very long but now trying to hunt out things small enough for them. Apparently Tiny Baby clothes is for 6lbs upwards! Will get away with them for Katie who is 5lb 1oz but need to go to mothercare for Lucy as she is only 3lb 10oz!

Hope you are all doing well and had a good Christmas!
