papillion thankyou for link. WONT be taking mine early then. its a c rating. altho have another site which says its the safest around for bfing -rather than during pg, so will be taking it then. concerned if i over -research it (something i am capable of...darn internet!) i will find many conflicting opinions. but with so few weeks to go I dont want to start one and then need another.. so maybe i need to learn to shut up, bite my tongue, and not actually speak to dh after 4pm. do i still go and see the dr or not bother now? they are going to write me off as totally mad at this rate.

have been suffering really bad cramps in my feet and calves, wake me up and make me yell kinda of bad......eating lots of bananas is supposed to help but am eating approx 1 or 2 aday as it is...if anyone can help me with them I would be forever in debt

kangel I missed you! please stay around here. we dec mummies mmust stick together. and i know what you mean, if i post on another thread i usually get blanked.....or like today put my foot in it and upset someone. another case of me needing to shut my mouth!

dramaqueen72 · 03/10/2005 15:46

lady in supermarket told me i looked very glamerous for a pg lady. was shocked because frankly today of all days i dont. but was chuffed she said so.
then she said, when are you due.
uh-oh.
so i said dec (very vague me!...)
and her jaw fell open. my god, she siad, you are huge.
yes thankyou, brilliant.
SIGH

sweetheart · 03/10/2005 15:51

DQ - well done for not giving the lady a slap

Perhaps it would be a good idea to pop into your Dr's just to discuss the fact your not doing too well. Hopefully they will put it on your records so that you are well looked after once the baby arrives. Your Dr may also have some ideas on ways to make you feel better now.

dramaqueen72 · 03/10/2005 15:59

I am already being very much looked after once the baby arrives s/h, took all my courage in the world to say I needed help last time and thankfully, the drs have been great with offereing help, and these tablets for next time, so no PND can come back and hit me, fingers crossed. I know its very stupid, but have huge issues with having to raise my hand and say i cant cope. major fears, and i know they are silly, of children being taken away, (even tho i could never hurt or be horrible to them in the same way I am a cow to dh)not quite sure what they will say if i go back in, lord knows, -cart me off somewhere? I am doing alright -i think- dont feel like staying in bed, or not getting dressed (as i did when pndepressed) day to day I'm abit emotional, abit teary over silly things BUT think that is pg for you, rather then just me. by the end of the day however, i am tired, can hear myself being REALLY crabby and have no 'being reasonable' left in my system. hence snapping on dh and letting rip at him over what may be -i dont know anymore- small molehills rather than mountains. thankyou for posting I must be boring everyone silly with such crisis so often.
trying to think about something else for awhile and off to research water births at home.

sweetheart · 03/10/2005 16:05

DQ - there's nothing wrong with admitting your having a hard time. I think it shows strength of character.

You Dr's will understand - and not think your barking. Perhaps you could go in and explain that your feeling down and you know it's probably hormones but because of the PND you suffered before you are slightly worried about it. I'm sure they'd be very willing to offer help.

I've heard you can hire birthing pools for home use. I think one of the June 05 ladies used one. I'll pop over and ask, it's about time I said hello to them all anyway!

dramaqueen72 · 03/10/2005 16:07

s/h i truely love you. you are such a star on this thread. thankyou for always saying the very right thing.

sweetheart · 03/10/2005 16:13

I wasn't aware I did - believe me, it's not the case in RL. I'm really a complete cow

I've put a message on the June thread so hopefully someone will reply.

I just don't like to think of any of the Dec ladies feeling sad. And I have more than enough time on my hands to help cheer people up. It will probably be a very different story once the baby gets here though!

dramaqueen72 · 03/10/2005 16:17

no, you cant be a cow in rl, you just cant be!!!
my dd2 has just been very sweet.........
I often call her 'little pumpkin' and she has just told me 'i love you BIG pumpkin' back,......aw!

ninah · 03/10/2005 16:20

hello you lovely ladies don't know what I'd do without you at the moment. much much appreciated.
DQ, I agree it is horribly difficult to ask for help, much easier to go on being 'superwoman' and crack up. take sh's advice! bit 'bout your 'glamourous' tag tho!
Bump feels a bit tight today, anyone else with this?

sweetheart · 03/10/2005 16:25

DQ - that is sooooo sweet of your dd. My little girl has taken to giving my bump kisses before bed and when she leaves for school in the morning. It makes my heart melt

I'm not called sh because I'm a sh btw. I used that name coz it's the nickname I use for all the kiddies in my family. I am a cow in RL I promise. My worst features are that I'm intolerant, impatient and stubborn.

Ninah - I'm not surprised your bellys feeling tight - the amount of stress you've been under the last couple of days. Take it easy tonight, make sure you put your feet up at your friends house. AND - imo, a large glass of wine is called for God, how I wish I could come and put a big protective shield round you!!!!!!!

ninah · 03/10/2005 16:25

oh OK you're chatty so I x-posted
sh sorry you can't pass yourself off as a cow now. Too late. No way!

dramaqueen72 · 03/10/2005 16:26

yes ninah, my bump often is now days......infact if anyone wants the list of whats wrong or aches its a long one !LOL
deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep breaths, relax some and put your feet up. hot bath/shower also makes it relax again. youve got alot on your plate tho so its bound to make the bump tense sometimes too.
hope you get your action plan sorted out this evening. you have somewhere to stay dont you?

kangel · 03/10/2005 16:27

Have been busy all day at work, doing what I don't know coz my desk is just full of paper and i'm drowning in it!!

kangel · 03/10/2005 16:42

Say YES Ninah and take some time off for yourself - relax and pamper yourself!!! Take this opportunity to take it easy...PLEASE!!!

sweetheart · 03/10/2005 16:44

Oh no I killed the chatter

Papillon · 03/10/2005 17:15

dramaqueen72 I get the cramping in the legs also. Rotate your ankles in one direction and then the other. Especially good to remember to do when watching TV!

Also if you get them in the night - do afew ankle rotations, helps me. Also very important is to consciously get your body to relax - concentrate on each area and release the tension from that part.
